Did You Armor Up Bro? Ephesians 6

The purpose of our podcast “Did You Armor Up Bro? Ephesians 6” is to edify others in the teachings of the Holy Bible, which is God’s Word. Our mission is to lead others to Jesus Christ, participate in fulfilling the Great Commission, and to make disciples of all nations. The title “Did You Armor Up Bro? Ephesians 6” is based on Ephesians 6:10-18, which describes putting on the Whole Armor of God. We can overcome the wiles of the devil by submitting ourselves to God, resisting the devil, and he will then flee from us. As believers in Jesus Christ, we have the Holy Spirit living in us. “Did You Armor Up Bro?”

Episode 24- It’s Through Him That The World Might Be Saved

Episode 24- “It’s Through Him That The World Might Be Saved” In this episode, we discuss why God sent His Son into the world, how Jesus Christ was made manifest in the flesh by the power of the Holy Spirit, the birth of Jesus Christ, why God intentionally drove out Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden, the plan of salvation, the unfailing love that God truly has for us, and a prayer at the end. Jesus did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. We have all sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. The only way to be reconciled back to God the Father, is through His Son, Jesus Christ, who He has sent. Jesus loves us very much. Today is the day of salvation!

Episode 23- The Choice Is Yours: Repent Or Perish

Episode 23- “The Choice Is Yours: Repent Or Perish” In this episode, we discuss that repenting of our sins is very important. We should not only be a hearer of the Word, but a doer of the Word as well. Jesus Christ clearly warns us that if we do not repent, we will all likewise perish. Repentance requires not only a change of mind, but also a change of action! God’s grace that He has given us is absolutely not a license to sin! If we love Jesus, we will keep His commandments. It’s truly time to repent of our sin. Let’s choose to call Him “Lord”, and to also truly do what He says! It’s time to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Jesus. We also discuss about salvation. Jesus did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. We have all sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. The only way to be reconciled back to God the Father, is through His Son, Jesus Christ, who He has sent. Jesus loves us very much. Today is the day of salvation!

Episode 22- It’s Time To Wake Up

Episode 22- “It’s Time To Wake Up” In this episode, we discuss that we should hate what God hates and that we should love what He loves. We also discuss about the authority that we have over the devil. As believers in Christ, we honestly need to make the decision of who are we going to live for, today! Are we going to choose to live for this world, or are we going to choose to live for Christ?! We cannot serve two masters. We also discuss that if we are proclaiming to be Christians, then why aren’t we all going out into the world and fulfilling the Great Comission, as Jesus Christ has commanded us to do?! We have the ability to do what God has called us to do, through Him! If you proclaim to know Jesus Christ, it’s honestly time to wake up. This is a wake up call, for all of us. It’s time to stop living a lukewarm life for your King. It’s time to truly put your hand to the plow for the Kingdom of God, and to never look back.

Episode 21- Church Denominations Are Man-Made

Episode 21- “Church Denominations Are Man-Made” In this episode, we discuss that church denominations are man-made. As believers in Christ, we need to know what the Word of God says. Our opinion isn’t found in the Bible. When we know the truth of God’s Word, we will be made free. We can’t just only rely on our pastor’s or our church’s interpretation of the Bible, but every single day, we should truly be meditating on God’s Word day and night. We should be studying to show ourselves approved. All of us need to open our Bible, which is God’s Word, and read it, asking God daily for the wisdom that we so desperately need. To this day, God still saves, heals, delivers, and does many mighty things using His people, through the Holy Spirit, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. God is very good and faithful to all of us.

Episode 20- Jesus, You Are Worth What You've Asked For

Episode 20- “Jesus, You Are Worth What You've Asked For” In this episode, we discuss the surrender that is involved with being a follow of Christ. Every single day we have to choose to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Jesus. Our life is not our own, but rather it is a vapor. Love is a choice. God has given us a free will to choose to love Him. Love is not real if it is forced, that is why God gives us the free will and the desire to choose Him. I have learned that when I chose to truly surrender my entire life to Jesus, He has given me a true peace that surpasses all understanding, and all anxiety and stress go away. I only want His will to be done, and because He knows all things there is peace within me. Jesus is worth everything that you're afraid of losing. He alone is worthy. If you choose to surrender your entire life to Christ, you will never be the same. He is truly worth it all.

Episode 19- Seeking God’s Will While Making Critical Decisions

Episode 19- “Seeking God’s Will While Making Critical Decisions” In this episode, we discuss seeking God’s will while making critical decisions. Every single day, we make decisions, big and small. We should be asking God, “What should I do? I only want your will to be done.” We need to be led by the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of Truth. Always put Jesus first, get into God’s Word, and seek His face in every decision that you make! He will guide you the right way. He knows what He’s doing and He is faithful!

Episode 18- Overcoming Intrusive Thoughts By The Word of God

Episode 18- "Overcoming Intrusive Thoughts By The Word of God” In this episode, we discuss overcoming intrusive thoughts by the Word of God. They are able to be overcome using the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God! We need to remember take our eyes off of our circumstances and place them on Christ! Jesus has already won the victory over the enemy through His death, burial, and resurrection, and because we are followers of Christ, we have the victory as well! It's time to walk in victory through Christ's finished work, and it's time to walk in the boldness that we have from the Holy Spirit! Jesus gave us power over the enemy! Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil and to set the captives free! Today and from now on we will intentionally choose to walk in this victory that we have through Jesus Christ our King!

Episode 17- Jesus Said It Is Finished

Episode 17- “Jesus Said It Is Finished” In this episode, we discussed about Jesus’ finished work on the cross. God sent His only Son, who is Jesus Christ, to be an atonement for our sins.  Jesus has already won the victory over the enemy through His death, burial, and resurrection. He is coming back soon! Let’s choose to believe in Christ and let’s choose to repent of our sins. If we love Jesus, we will keep His commandments. God commands men everywhere to repent. Let’s choose to live fully for Him and let’s choose to serve Him. We all have an important choice to make.

Episode 16- Why Are You Still Complaining?

Episode 16- “Why Are You Still Complaining?” In this episode, we discussed about complaining. Remember how the children of Israel complained in the wilderness? God took care of them the whole time, but they still complained. God heard their complaining, and then they had to wonder for 40 years in the wilderness. Just how God heard their complaining and punished them, don’t you think that He hears our complaining too? Of course He hears us, He knows all things and He doesn’t change. Let’s choose to not complain, but rather to give thanks in everything. Let’s show God that we are actually grateful and appreciative of everything that He has done, and continues to do for us. God is good, no matter what the circumstances of our life may be. God is always faithful.

Episode 15- Who Is Refilling Your Cup?

Episode 15- “Who Is Refilling Your Cup?” In this episode, we discuss topics such as refilling our cup, and we also talk about quenching the Holy Spirit. The only one who can truly refill our cup is God. Jesus is the vine and we are the branches, and without Him we can do nothing. His strength is perfected in our weakness. We should truly boast in our weakness so that the power of Christ may rest upon us. We need to choose to not quench the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the one who enables us to preach the Word of God with boldness. We need to humble ourselves before God and allow the Holy Spirit to use us to go make disciples of all nations. When we disobey God, we quench the Holy Spirit.

Episode 14- Do The Things That You Did At First

Episode 14- “Do The Things That You Did At First” Let’s meet people where they are at in love. We need to tell people that they need to repent and to tell them that Jesus Christ is coming back and He is going to judge the world in righteousness. If we don’t repent, we are going to perish. Let’s choose to repent and let’s choose to do the things that we did at first when we came to Jesus. Let’s choose to continue to tell others about Jesus Christ. If you don’t tell them about Him, then honestly who do you think will?

  12. 14

Episode 13- How Do I Know When It’s Time To Leave a Job?

Episode 13- “How Do I Know When It’s Time To Leave a Job?” In this episode, we discuss how do we know when it is time to leave a job? What does the Word of God say that we should do? Is the job that we currently have withholding us from fulfilling the plan, purpose, and will that God has for our life? We discuss this and more.

  13. 13

Episode 12- No More People Pleasing

Episode 12- “No More People Pleasing”   In this episode, we discuss how we need to stop people pleasing, because if you continue to do this, it is going to kill your calling. Are we more concerned about pleasing men or about pleasing God? If we pleased men, we are not the servants of Christ. You can’t serve two masters, so choose today who you are going to serve. You are either choosing the world or you’re choosing Jesus. It’s time to honestly stop being lukewarm. We must all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. The people that you’re so worried about pleasing in this world aren’t going to be standing next to you, when you give God an account of your life on judgment day. Settle it in your heart now, the people pleasing ends today. I’m choosing to serve Christ with all of my heart, are you? We discuss this and more.

  14. 12

Episode 10- If We Hear It Then Let's Do It

Episode 10- "If We Hear It Then Let's Do It" In this episode, we discuss about being a hearer of the Word of God, and about being a doer of the Word of God. If we are a hearer only and not a doer of God's Word, we are only deceiving ourselves. Let's choose to be a hearer and a doer of the Word of God. In order to do this, we need to fully rely on God's strength and not on our own strength. We discuss this and more.

  15. 11

Episode 11- His Strength Is Made Perfect In Weakness

Episode 11- "His Strength Is Made Perfect In Weakness" (In the audio at the beginning, I stated that it was Episode 10, but it is actually Episode 11) In this episode, we discuss how God's strength is perfected in weakness. When we are weak, He is strong. We need to remember to remain joyful, because the joy of the Lord is our strength. When we have joy in the Lord, we are strong. The devil will try to influence us in a negative way, whether it would be through him using other people or even other circumstances that come against us, in order to get us to change our heart posture. As Christians, we are clearly instructed in God's Word to have joy and rejoice always. Joy is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. We discuss this and more.

  16. 10

Episode 9- You Will Be Hated By All Men

Episode 9- "You Will Be Hated By All Men" In this episode, we discuss that because we are followers of Jesus Christ, we will be hated by all men. They hated Jesus and they will hate us too. But we have to remember that during all of this, we are truly blessed. We discuss this and more.

  17. 9

Episode 8- Walking in the Spirit vs. Walking in the Flesh

Episode 8- "Walking in the Spirit vs. Walking in the Flesh" In this episode, we discuss the differences between walking in the Spirit and walking in the flesh. What does walking in the Spirit look like in contrast to walking in the flesh? We can either choose to walk in the Spirit or choose to walk in the flesh. God has given us the free will to choose and He has given us a choice to make. What are some actions that we can take to walk in the Spirit, so that we do not walk in the flesh? We discuss this and more.

  18. 8

    Episode 7- My Testimony

Episode 7- “My Testimony” In this episode, I share my testimony. Jesus Christ has changed my life forever. He has the power to deliver us and He has the power to make us free. There is power in your testimony, so don’t be afraid or embarrassed to share it. What you have gone through in your life may just help or encourage someone else. Life is honestly hard enough, so let’s be kind and try to help each other out. Jesus honestly loves you so much. Never quit.

Episode 6- It’s Happening Because You’re Not Loving Your Wife As Christ Loved the Church

Episode 6- “It’s Happening Because You’re Not Loving Your Wife As Christ Loved the Church” In this episode, we discuss how failing to love your wife as Christ loved the Church comes with consequences. When you got married to your wife, you made a commitment to her and to God. You are now one flesh with her. How are you as treating her as your wife? It’s time for you to honestly reflect on this, wake up, and do better as her husband. If we’re not married yet, can we learn from other people’s mistakes? Let’s choose to be a real man of God and raise up our children in the way that they should go.

We cannot serve two masters, and in this life you have to pick one to serve. If you don't know who you are currently serving, you will know by the end of this discussion. We talk about sin, righteousness, and many other things. There is also a prayer and a call to action at the end.
