James tell us that true religion is to care for oprhans and widows. Well we are going to find out today why that is! Jared Lockhart is the deacon of widows and shut-ins at Forest Baptist Church and is going to explain God's care for widows and his plan for us to serve them, and explain the widows role in the body of Christ.

How do we actually go about serving in the church? How can we use our gifts and talents for the Lord and what is the formula to serve the right way? The answer is to model Jesus!

As Christians we long to have a servant's heart and a place in the Kingdom, but what did Jesus have to say about it? In our first episode on serving, we will look at how Christ explains that if you want to serve and have status, the way up is down.

So the guys have convinced you that singleness is a gift to not throw away lightly, and you also understand that your identity is in the Lord Jesus Christ. Awesome! But what if you still have the desire to get marrried? And what if you are already married and want to help other single people handle their singleness better than you did? Well the guys are back to wrap up their singleness conversation and hopefully, build a bridge between the married couples and the single people. We need each other!

In the second episode of our singleness sereies, the guys will now help us see that our identity both as single people and married people, is the Lord Jesus Christ.

Many of us who are single struggle with the idea of not being in a relationship. We all crave intimacy and the need to have someone we love and who loves us. But what if we told you that your singleness is not something to dread or even to wish to get rid of? Today we want you to look at what the Bible says about singleness and to look differently at it before you rush head first into a relationship or have your head in the clouds waiting for your special someone. There is a place for singleness in the church, and it isn't a curse, it is actually a gift!
