Half Peruvian and half Ecuadorian from his mother's side, he is one of the most unknown exponents on the Ecuadorian scene, also getting along with some experimental acts like Rojo or Pinxame which are some of the upcoming artists in the underground scene. The ambient and electronic experimentations of Ópalo combine jazz, downtempo beats and also samples from folk music in his last compositions. We inaugurate the last month of the year with an epic ambient mix by Dynastor Dynastor is a Dutch ambient artist that pushes the boundaries of the style. His mixes are known for the immense tracklists reflecting his methods; layering many tracks overtop each other to create immersive and dynamic mixes taking the listener along through what ambient can really be. He shows why ambient music has a place on the big soundsystem with heavy hitting basses, cinematic sweeps and deep textural soundscapes. That ambient as a background genre misses the point, that rather it tells a story, sketches a world, contains a journey. This is also a reflection of him as a person, always exploring new music and diversifying his repertoire as artist. His longstanding residency at Serendipity Club, as well as involvement in projects like Dancity Festival & Rumore Bianco @matteo-trenta , has allowed him to craft a distinctive style over the years that transcends genres, easily navigating ambient, downtempo, tribal, and techno, often characterized by the seamless fusion of psychedelic rhythms and hypnotic sounds. His extensive background includes owning the record shop Mondo Muzique in Foligno, contributing significantly to the @melantonia Collective based in Berlin, and being one of the minds behind Sintesi Festival. EMC is honored to invite Ada Kaleh Ada Kaleh is a musician and composer based in Bucharest, Romania and currently releasing forward thinking aesthetics on legendary labels @r-srecords Records and its ambient division @apollo-records, widely considered as the labels responsible for bringing Techno to Europe. He's been releasing music for over 20 years under various aliases, but his current focus is on the Ada Kaleh alias, and the more recent techno persona, Supersanity. Ignoring genre boundaries, his music combines hypnotic rhythms with rich, naturally evolving sounds often inspired by literal and metaphorical trips and mystic experiences. Questioning the linear nature of time, each composition guides the listener though whirling soundscapes, DMT realms and time loops, creating an aural safe space in which to explore. Joan Gila, a vinyl enthusiast, is the curator of @hoc-radio and also manages a small cassette label focused on ambient, avant-garde, and experimental music called @red-edge-label. He is part of the duo @binomi with his friend @slim-jordi. This DJ set was recorded in Madrid at the Temple event, curated by @machines-desirantes and @javier-camunas, which takes place at @espacio-perpendicular, an intimate venue with exquisite sound.
