Embodied by Grace

Welcome to the Embodied by Grace podcast, where faith meets wellness meets … life. I’m Melissa Rose, and I spent over 20 years (unsuccessfully) seeking fulfillment while immersed in the self-help world. In June 2024 and at 39 years old, it was revealed to me that the missing piece in my life was none other than Jesus Christ. Now I invite you to join vulnerable discussions about living as a woman of faith in today’s crazy world. Together we will explore what it means to be human — but this time through the lens of grace and with the ultimate goal of growing closer to God each and every day.

I make mistakes. I don't explain the Word of God in a way that will resonate with everyone. I am not going to get it right all the time, and nor will any teacher, preacher, YouTuber, or pastor. Today Melissa speaks on a topic that has been plaguing her personal life lately: Judgment. She discusses both feeling judged and judging others, and how she thought that becoming a Christian would make her less judgmental -- but now she just finds herself judging others in different ways. Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! 27. I Love You, but I Don't Like You

Today Melissa discusses a topic she has been learning about in school recently: What the Bible says (or doesn't say) about concepts such as love and like, how we are to conduct ourselves based on these Truths, and why it's okay if we don't actually like our neighbor. Verses mentioned in this episode:“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" ~ Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭9‬ ‭“A fool hath no delight in understanding, But that his heart may discover itself.” ‭~ Proverbs‬ ‭18‬:‭2‬ ‭“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” ~ ‭‭Mark‬ ‭12‬:‭30‬-‭31‬ ‭“But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,” ~ ‭‭Luke‬ ‭6‬:‭27‬ “But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.” ~ ‭‭Luke‬ ‭6‬:‭35‬ ‭Join every day on YouTube for reading and praying the Bible. https://www.youtube.com/@EmbodiedbyGrace/videosFollow Embodied by Grace on IG and TikTok: @embodiedbygraceFor collaborations or partnerships: [email protected] support Embodied by Grace: https://buymeacoffee.com/embodiedbygraceA Message from Melissa: “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” (1 Thess.‬ ‭5‬:‭21‬): Study the Scripture for yourself and remember that I am just a person sharing the Gospel. 2. From Self-Help to Seeking Jesus | Full Testimony

In today's emotional episode, I share my deeply personal story about being caught up in the hamster wheel of the healing and self-help world, including what ultimately led to the Holy Spirit saving me and calling me back to Christianity. Thank you so much for listening and for your support! I appreciate you! I make mistakes. I don't explain the Word of God in a way that will resonate with everyone. I am not going to get it right all the time, and nor will any teacher, preacher, YouTuber, or pastor. I believe we can learn so much from each other, but no person's teaching can replace getting into the Bible yourself. As Christians let's focus more on the truth that unites us -- that we are saved by grace through faith because of what Christ did for us on the cross -- rather than on the details meant to divide us. Thank you for being here, and thank you for giving me grace. *** DISCLAIMER: Embodied by Grace is a faith-based wellness podcast created for informational and inspirational purposes only. ABOUT THIS SHOW
