“Go Make Disciples” with Fr. John Burns - March 26, 2026

This week we focus on Go Make Disciples--the Legs of the Anatomy of a Catholic Disciple.  The last instruction Jesus gives to the disciples before he ascents to heaven is to "Go and Make Disciples" (Matthew 28:20). We reflect on how we live this call of the disciple in our everyday life, going out to others.Questions for Small Group Discussion:How would you explain the mission of the Church? What has God done in your life through these 90 days of intentionally growing in Discipleship?  Who could you tell about this and invite into deeper discipleship?Prepare to share your story (see your Guidebook p.148-149 English)Emmaus 90 is a 90-day New Years to Easter journey for those seeking a closer relationship with Jesus. “Fidelity to the Catholic Church” with Pat Millea - March 19, 2026

This week we focus on Fidelity to the Church--the skeleton of the Anatomy of a Catholic Disciple. We don't much think about our skeleton unless it's broken, but the skeleton gives important structure to the body that helps us to stand and move freely. Fidelity to the Church is like that: growing in faithfulness to Church teaching helps us to live and move with greater freedom. Questions for Small Group Discussion:Where do you go to find answers to the deepest questions? What teaching of the Church have you struggled with most, or are you struggling with now? How can you take those questions to God?When the teachings of the Church conflict with the consensus of the world, what do you do? Is there anything you would like to do differently?References from tonight’s sessionMark 9:14-24The Martin Center for IntegrationEmmaus 90 is a 90-day New Years to Easter journey for those seeking a closer relationship with Jesus. Dr. Healy suggests the following questions for your pilgrim group discussions: Do you recognize in yourself a spiritual hunger that can be satisfied by God alone? How do Moses & the Prophets Refer to Jesus? with Fr. John Paul Mitchell - February 13, 2025

February 13 - How do Moses and the prophets refer to Jesus? Fr. John Paul Mitchell helps us reflect on the question:  How do Moses and the prophets refer to Jesus? This week we move into the second movement of our journey "Jesus Interprets the Scriptures." On the road to Emmaus, beginning with Moses and the prophets, Jesus interpreted to them what referred to him in all the Scriptures (Luke 24:27). He retells the stories they already know and helps the disciples see them as they never have before. May the Lord help us see with new eyes and may our hearts burn within us!Fr. John suggests the following questions for your discussion groupThe story of Sacred Scripture is our story. How does coming to see the connections between the Old and New Testaments, and God’s Providential hand in all of it, affect your sense of God’s provision and care for your life?St. Paul exhorts us: “Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy.” (1 Cor 14:1) Although you may not be called to work mighty signs and wonders in God’s name like the prophet Moses, how might the Lord be calling you to embrace the prophetic roles of intercession and of identification with the suffering? How can you commit to meditating on God’s Word in the week ahead so as to become “like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither.” (Psalm 1:3)In his talk, Fr. Who am I walking with? from Pete Burds - February 6, 2025

Discipleship grows in relationship. One of the ways we most readily recognize Jesus drawing near is in and through others who are on this journey with us. This week, Pete Burds will help us reflect on "Who I am walking with?" and who might God be inviting me to "walk with" on this journey. Pete serves as Chief Mission Officer for NET Ministries, overseeing missionary formation, training, and programming, as well as YDisciple and leadership development.Discussion Questions for your Pilgrim Group: Who is someone in your life that immediately comes to mind to "walk with"?What might be challenging about "walking with" another person?Pete references "Overview of Thresholds of Conversion" from the Emmaus 90 Guide book page 138-139Emmaus 90 is a 90-day New Years to Easter journey for those seeking a closer relationship with Jesus. Fr. Kubicki helps us reflect on the question: How do I recognize Jesus drawing near? Like the disciples on the road to Emmaus in Luke 24, when we feel worry and discouragement, we can turn to “fix our eyes on Jesus” and see how He is gazing at us in our day. He reveals Himself to us in the Scripture and in the midst of our daily life. Your daily prayer with Scripture and Examen help you to recognize him with you. Please use the following questions when you are meeting with your pilgrim group:What are some obstacles to my meeting and recognizing Jesus in my daily life?  What does Jesus' interaction with the disciples teach me about how to walk with others on their faith journey?Fr.
