Rooted in Knowing God is Able, Rising in Courage (Episode 25)
Episode 25 – Rooted in Knowing God is Able, Rising in Courage🔗 https://open.spotify.com/show/3UKsQpZzjFBO0OOiSeLXGI?si=RAB4RCceQlaq0m7eSABpIQThe Person: JonathanScripture: “Then Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, ‘Come, let us go over to the garrison… It may be that the Lord will work for us. For nothing restrains the Lord from saving by many or by few.’” — 1 Samuel 14:6 (NKJV)Devotional:Jonathan believed that God could win victories no matter the odds. While others waited in fear, he stepped out in faith. His bold words—“It may be that the Lord will work for us”—were not uncertainty, but humility. He knew victory didn’t depend on numbers, but on God.Faith like Jonathan’s is rare because it’s willing to act before the outcome is clear. He didn’t need a full army or a perfect plan. He needed God—and that was enough. His courage rose from confidence in God’s ability, not his own. What battles are you facing today? You may not feel qualified or equipped, but faith isn’t about feelings—it’s about trust. When you’re rooted in the belief that God is able, you can rise in courage to take the next step—even if it's uphill.Prayer Prompt:Lord, help me trust You when I face challenges. Root me in Your strength so I can rise with courage.

When he saw the risen Christ, his response was one of the strongest confessions in Scripture: “My Lord and my God!” Doubt didn’t disqualify him—it deepened his belief when he encountered the truth. Rooted in real questions, Thomas rose with real faith. If you wrestle with uncertainty, don’t run from God—bring it to Him. He meets us where we are and reveals Himself in powerful ways.Prayer Prompt:Jesus, meet me in my questions and help me rise in faith. I confess You as my Lord and my God.

Episode 23 – Rooted in Obedience, Rising in Evangelism🔗 https://open.spotify.com/show/3UKsQpZzjFBO0OOiSeLXGI?si=RAB4RCceQlaq0m7eSABpIQThe Person: PhilipScripture: “Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him.” — Acts 8:35 (NKJV)Devotional:Philip didn’t wait for a pulpit—he ran after a chariot. When the Holy Spirit prompted him, he obeyed. Rooted in the Word, Philip shared Jesus with a searching Ethiopian official, and a divine appointment became a life changed. Philip teaches us that rising in evangelism starts with saying “yes” to God’s promptings. When you're rooted in Scripture and sensitive to the Spirit, you’ll be ready to lead others to Christ wherever you go. The Gospel doesn’t wait for a platform—just a willing heart.Prayer Prompt:Holy Spirit, make me ready like Philip. Teach me to listen, obey, and share Jesus wherever You lead me.

Episode 22 – Rooted in Relationship, Rising in Invitation🔗 https://open.spotify.com/show/3UKsQpZzjFBO0OOiSeLXGI?si=RAB4RCceQlaq0m7eSABpIQThe Person: AndrewScripture: “He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, ‘We have found the Messiah’...” — John 1:41 (NKJV)Devotional:Andrew is often in the background—but he’s always bringing someone to Jesus. He followed Christ and immediately introduced his brother Peter to the Savior. Andrew shows us that being rooted in relationship with Jesus naturally overflows into invitation. You don’t need a spotlight to make a difference—just a heart to connect people to Christ. God uses Andrews to ignite fire in others. You may not preach to the multitudes, but your faithful witness could lead someone who will.Prayer Prompt:Lord, give me a heart like Andrew’s. Help me invite others to meet You and find their purpose in You.

Once a persecutor, Paul became a planter of churches and writer of Scripture. He never forgot the depths from which he was rescued—and that kept him rooted. But that same grace that saved him also fueled him to rise. Grace doesn’t just forgive; it empowers. Paul rose with purpose, preaching Christ with relentless passion. Your sin may have been great, but God’s grace is greater!Prayer Prompt:Jesus, thank You for Your grace that meets me where I am. Help me rise with passion and purpose, just like Paul.

Mary and Martha wept. The crowd questioned. Lazarus was sealed in a tomb for four days. And yet, Jesus arrived—not to mourn, but to resurrect.Lazarus’s story is a reminder that God’s delays are not God’s denials. Often, the waiting seasons feel like silence, but in heaven’s timeline, they are sacred preparation for a powerful testimony. Rooted in God’s authority, even death had to obey. There are things in your life that may seem beyond hope—dreams, relationships, even parts of your faith. But Jesus still speaks to tombs. When He says “Come forth,” no grave can hold what He has ordained to live. Don’t bury what God is preparing to raise.Prayer Prompt:Jesus, help me trust Your timing. Raise up new life in places I thought were lost, and use my story to bring glory to Your name.

Episode 19 – Rooted in Forgiveness, Rising in Freedom🔗 https://open.spotify.com/show/3UKsQpZzjFBO0OOiSeLXGI?si=RAB4RCceQlaq0m7eSABpIQThe Person: The Prodigal SonScripture: “But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him…” — Luke 15:20 (NKJV)Devotional:The prodigal son ran from his father—but never out of his love. He squandered his inheritance, made ruinous choices, and ended up feeding pigs in a foreign land. But when he came to his senses and returned, the father didn’t scold—he ran to meet him with open arms. Forgiveness embraced him before he could finish his apology. Rooted in grace, he was restored not as a servant, but as a son. This is the beauty of God’s heart: He doesn’t just forgive—He restores. He doesn’t hold our past over us—He gives us a new future. We often struggle to forgive ourselves, but God is already watching from the road, ready to receive us home.Forgiveness is the foundation of true freedom. You no longer have to live by guilt or shame. You are not defined by where you’ve been but by who your Father says you are. Rise today in that truth and walk as a beloved child, no longer bound by your past.Prayer Prompt:Father, thank You for welcoming me home. Help me walk in the freedom You offer and extend that same grace to others who need it.

Episode 18 – Rooted in Prayer, Rising in Power🔗 https://open.spotify.com/show/3UKsQpZzjFBO0OOiSeLXGI?si=RAB4RCceQlaq0m7eSABpIQThe Person: The Early ChurchScripture: “These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication…” — Acts 1:14 Devotional:Before Pentecost, there was a prayer meeting. The early church didn’t rush ahead—they gathered, waited, and sought the Lord together. Their power didn’t come from clever strategies or charismatic leaders—it came from united, persistent prayer. Rooted in that spiritual discipline, they were ready when the Holy Spirit fell.We often want power without preparation, results without relationship. But the pattern of Acts reminds us that revival flows through people who prioritize prayer. The upper room wasn’t a place of hype—it was a place of humility. And from that humility, boldness was born.If you long to rise with power, return to your knees. Let prayer become your first instinct, not your last resort. In God’s presence, we receive clarity, courage, and power to live on mission.Prayer Prompt:Lord, teach me to wait on You in prayer. Unite my heart with Yours and fill me with Your Spirit.

Rooted in Compassion, Rising in Mercy (Episode 17)
Episode 17. Rooted in Compassion, Rising in Mercy🔗 Listen on SpotifyThe Person: The Good SamaritanScripture: “But a certain Samaritan… had compassion.” — Luke 10:33 (NKJV)Devotional:The Samaritan didn’t just see pain—he stopped for it. His compassion moved him beyond sympathy into sacrificial mercy. He crossed cultural boundaries, risked danger, and gave generously to restore someone society had ignored. Rooted in love, he didn’t ask, “Who is my neighbor?”—he became a neighbor. Rising to shine looks like meeting needs, even when it’s inconvenient or uncomfortable. This parable challenges our comfort and calls us to act. It reminds us that compassion without action is sentiment, not mercy. True mercy costs something—time, energy, pride, resources. And yet, every act of mercy reflects the heart of our Savior, who stopped for us in our brokenness. To live like the Good Samaritan is to live with eyes wide open, hearts softened by grace, and hands ready to serve. May we be rooted so deeply in Christ’s love that we can’t walk past hurting people without offering healing.Prayer Prompt:Jesus, open my eyes to see hurting people and move me to act in mercy like You did. Teach me to love beyond barriers and serve without hesitation.

Rooted in prayer and integrity, he led people through opposition and fatigue. Leadership isn’t about title but about trust. When you live upright before God, others will follow your example.Nehemiah didn’t manipulate, boast, or panic. Instead, he sought the Lord before he spoke, he planned with wisdom, and he faced criticism with clarity and calm. His integrity gave him credibility. People trusted his motives because he continually pointed to God, not himself. Even in the face of threats, Nehemiah refused to abandon the mission. “Should such a man as I flee?” he asked in Nehemiah 6:11—he knew that leading with fear would fracture the very foundation they were building. True leadership rises from character formed in the quiet place of prayer and proven in the pressure of battle. You may not be called to rebuild a wall, but you are called to influence those around you. Rise each day not to impress, but to inspire through integrity. The God who called you will prosper the work done in His name and for His glory.Prayer Prompt:God, help me lead with integrity and perseverance, even when the work feels hard. Let my actions and decisions reflect trust in You. Teach me to build others up through example, prayer, and courage. Let me rise to lead not for my sake, but to shine Your light through every assignment You place in my hands.

For 40 days, the rain fell during the flood as God cleansed the earth (Genesis 7:12). Moses spent 40 days on Mount Sinai receiving God's law (Exodus 34:28). Elijah walked 40 days to Horeb, the mountain of God (1 Kings 19:8). Jesus fasted for 40 days in the wilderness as He prepared for His public ministry (Matthew 4:2). And after His resurrection, Jesus spent 40 days appearing to His disciples and speaking about the Kingdom of God (Acts 1:3).These 40-day moments were not random—they were sacred seasons of preparation, transformation, revelation, and renewal.Over the past 40 days, we too have entered into a sacred space of beholding the wonder of God. We've explored His beauty in creation, His power in salvation, His nearness in suffering, and His glory in every area of life. Each day has been an invitation to slow down, look up, and live in awe. This final day is not an ending, but a beginning. Beholding is not a one-time experience—it’s a lifestyle. Every glimpse of beauty, every taste of grace, and every whisper of His presence here on earth is but a shadow of the glory to come. One day, faith will become sight. Day 34: In the Potters HandPodcast:https://open.spotify.com/show/3UKsQpZzjFBO0OOiSeLXGI?si=01614b39cc0945aeScripture Verse: Jeremiah 18:1-6 (NKJV)“The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying: “Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause you to hear My words.” Then I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was, making something at the wheel. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make. Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?” says the Lord. “Look, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel!”Devotional:The wonder of God’s kingdom is that greatness comes through servanthood. Jesus—King of kings—stooped to wash feet. He came not to be served but to serve, and in doing so, revealed the heart of God.To be a servant of God is to take the low place willingly. It’s not glamorous, but it’s glorious. Serving isn’t about tasks; it’s about heart posture. Whether teaching, listening, cleaning, or encouraging, you’re embodying the love of Christ. In a world that prizes status, we reflect God’s wonder when we choose to serve.Prayers:Prayer of Praise for Jesus’ Servanthood:“Jesus, I praise You for humbling Yourself to serve. Your love moved You to action, and Your example moves me to do the same. Amen.”Prayer for a Servant’s Heart:“Lord, teach me to serve with joy. Help me see needs and meet them with love. May I live as Your servant, bringing You glory in quiet and unseen ways. Amen.”

David invites us not merely to observe God's goodness from a distance, but to taste and see—to encounter Him personally and intimately.Experiencing God awakens wonder. They leave you marked, humbled, and in awe.The wonder of experiencing God reminds us that He is not just a distant deity but a loving Father who longs to walk with us daily. The more we draw near, the more we realize how near He already is.As we reflect on the wonder of experiencing God, let us open our hearts anew to His presence—not just in the extraordinary, but in the everyday moments of life. He is with us. He is for us. And He invites us to know Him more deeply.Prayers:Prayer of Praise for Experiencing God:"Heavenly Father, I praise You for Your goodness and for the wonder of knowing You. Thank You for drawing near to me and allowing me to taste and see that You are good. Help me never to take Your presence for granted. Fill me with awe as I walk with You each day. Amen."Prayer for Inviting Others to Experience God:"Lord, help me to be a living testimony of Your presence. May my life reflect the joy and peace that come from walking with You. Realizing Revival (Day 25 of 40)
Day 25: Realizing RevivalScripture:Hosea 6:3 (ESV)“Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth.”Reflection:There are moments in the life of faith where the soul feels dry, weary, or distant. Seasons when the sky feels shut, and spiritual fruit seems scarce. But God has not abandoned His people. He promises revival—not as a flash of emotion, but as the faithful rain that comes in season.Hosea calls us to press on to know the Lord, even when we don't feel Him. Revival begins not with spectacle but with seeking—a hunger to return to the heart of God. And what follows? Rain. Softening, nourishing, life-giving rain.In biblical imagery, “the latter rain” (see also Joel 2:23) refers to the rains that come in springtime, preparing the harvest. It's a symbol of renewal, outpouring, and harvest—both naturally and spiritually. Just as the earth depends on these rains, so too the Church—and each of us—depends on the Spirit of God to renew, awaken, and revive.Jesus promised rivers of living water to those who believe in Him (John 7:38). Revival is not manufactured; it is received. It flows from the presence of the risen Christ and the power of His Spirit. When we repent, return, and seek His face, the latter rain will come—not just upon us, but through us, bringing life to others.Prayer:Lord, I long for Your rain—Your Spirit poured out to soften what’s hard, revive what’s dry, and awaken what’s sleeping. Let me press on to know You more. May revival begin in me, and spread through me. Refresh Your people, Lord, and bring forth a harvest for Your glory. Amen.Reflection Questions:In what areas of your life or heart do you need the “latter rain” of God’s presence? What does it look like for you to “press on to know the Lord” this week? How might God use your personal revival to impact your family, church, or community?
