In Episode 23, Mel and Fee speak with Cathy Scott an author and artist who journeyed through breast cancer and how her art and faith helped her through.  Disclaimer:  Cathy is a visual artist who paints in a contemporary realistic style. Her paintings are inspired by her African background, imagination, dreams and prophetic imagery. They can evoke deep emotion or meaningful messages interpreted by the viewer. Her faith in God inspires insights and revelations which she shares through her art. It’s important to Cathy that her art carries value and atmosphere that brings life and hope.  Cathy lives by a mandate God gave her to be a culture changer and so, with others, she hosts Creative Groups of artists in community that love to connect and create, encouraging authentic growth and friendship. She also teaches art to a number of students in her home studio. In Episode 6, Fee shares her journey with having breast cancer at 38, how she found out and how she coped through laughter, skateboarding, stealing the modem and multiple hairdos. 8 years on Fee reflects on how God was watching over her even though she did not know it at the time. 

In Episode 5, Mel and Fee interview Fee's (step) daughter Chloe where she talks about her struggle with mental health and thoughts of suicide. Chloe lost her biological mother at the age of 7 after she disappeared for months before she was found having taken her own life. This is an emotional episode which will tug on the heart strings. Yet what a shining light Chloe is and what Gold she has found in the sludge.  If this episode upsets you in anyway please seek help or talk to a friend or family member. 

In today's episode, Mel talks to Fee about her Italian family story and what she learned from spending 4 years writing about the journey of her grandparents from a small town in Sardinia, Italy to Australia in the 1920's and 1930's. What Gold her Nonna and Nonna found in the family she raised in Australia!

Journey into how Mel Black (one of our hosts) found at a young age she was not alone and that Jesus was there to hold her hand.
