What is Grief?
Grief isn’t just sadness. It’s not just missing someone. It’s love with nowhere to go. It’s the silence where a voice used to be. It’s reaching for your phone before remembering there’s no one on the other end. Grief is love in its most raw and aching form.

You Don’t “Get Over” Grief
Grief is a process. There’s no right or wrong way to do it. You also don’t “get over” grief. You learn to move and shape yourself around it but it’s always there.

Keeping Their Memory Alive
Grief is love with nowhere to go—or at least, that’s how it feels at first. We carry this love inside us, wondering what to do with it now that they’re no longer here. But the truth is, love never dies. It transforms. One of the most powerful ways we can honor the people we’ve lost is to carry their memory forward. Not in sadness, but in ways that breathe life into who they were and what they meant to us.

Navigating Grief Without Closure
Navigating grief when there is no closure is extra difficult. We are left with unanswered questions and unresolved feelings. No one likes an unfinished story, and if given the chance would want to say goodbye to their loved one. This particular type of grief causes a tremendous toll on not only our mental state but also physical. It's important to try to find a way to form your own goodbye. This could be through a letter, lighting a candle, or creating a memory box. The important thing is that you do something that is important to you and would honor your loved one. It's also imperative that you have a good support system, resources, therapy etc. It is possible to work through the issues when you don't have closure, but it takes time, patience, and a lot of working through your feelings.

Untangling the Questions
When going through grief, your mind instantly floods with a million questions, overlapping and crashing into each other. You might feel pulled in opposite directions: part of you wants answers, and another part is terrified of what you might learn. You might reach for memories, photos, or texts, trying to piece together the why. At the same time, there’s this crushing reality that no number of answers will ever feel like enough. This episode takes us through some of those questions that I have personally had.
