    Series on the Church - Part 3

    Fr. Kyle continues his homily series on the church, covering paragraphs 767-769 of the Catechism.  In this part III, we see the Christ fulfilled the life of the Church.  We See in the story of Israel and gave birth to the Church on the cross.  The epiphany of the Church came at Pentecost, where Jesus' commissioning of the Apostles to evangelize begins.  Finally, the Church is being perfect but will only be perfected in the New Heaven and New Earth.

    Series on the Church - Part 2

    Fr. Kule continues his series on the Church.  This week he covers paragraphs 758-762 of the Catechism.  God created the world for communion with his divine life.  This is the Church.

    Series on the Church Part 1 - Introduction

    Father Kyle begins a series on the Church by inviting us to define the Church and provides us with the roots of its name.

    Solemnity of Sts Peter and Paul

    Father Kyle reintroduces us to Saints Peter and Paul.  He invites us to look at them and all Saints to let them live again by using their teaching to derive inspiration for improving our lives.

    Pentecost 2025

    The Disciples that earlier in life had struggles became embolden and started to proclaim Christ.  Thomas founded the Church in India while Peter became a great speaker.  Fr Kyle noted that it is the same Christ that was in them that are in us, today.

    Ascension Sunday

    On this Ascension Sunday, Fr. Kyle talks about Jurassic Park, and that although Jesus ascended he didn't leave us. Rather he gave us his Spirit and the promise of the heavenly kingdom, for these reason Christians are people of hope

    Second Sunday of Lent 2024

    On this Second Sunday of Lent, Fr. Kyle reflects on Psalm 116 as a prayer of thanksgiving for deliverance from death. Through the lens of Christ’s resurrection, we see that death has been rendered harmless, and suffering redeemed as a path to growth and life. God sanctifies even death for those who love Him.

    First Sunday of Lent 2024

    Fr. Kyle on this First Sunday of Lent reminds us how we reflect on how Jesus sanctified temptation by facing it himself. Psalm 25 reminds us that deliverance assumes danger, physical, spiritual, and moral. Lent calls us to resist complacency, pray with humility, and remember that God's compassion and love are always our refuge in times of trial.

    Sixth Sunday in ordinary time. Psalm 32

     Psalm 32 - Fr. Kyle reminds us that there is great benefit in repenting and receiving God's forgiveness and great danger and pain when we don't.

    Fifth Sunday of Ordinary time - Psalm 147

    Psalm 147 - The Hallel Palms.  Hallelujah means praise the Lord.  Fr Kyle suggest that we should be saying this for four reasons: 1. Raises us above earthly things.  2. Becomes a foretaste of Haven.  3.  Nothing is sweeter to the lover than to praise his beloved.  4.  He is due it. We can always find times in our life that we can take a moment to praise God.

    Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time

    Fr Kyle continues to show us how the Psalms can teach us how to pray, specifically prayers of gratitude.

    Fr Kyle encourages us to pray with Scripture.

    Reflecting on 1 Samuel 3 and Samuel's response to God in the temple as a child, Fr. Kyle reminds us that we cannot grow in faith alone. We need community.

    On this patrol feast, Fr. Kyle reflects on the family as the domestic Church.

    On Christmas morning, Fr. Kyle encourages us to be like Christ, little children, dependent on God.

    Fr. Kyle reflects on darkness, that it can be both a time of peace and a time of violence. Jesus can and does embody both, the peace for our good and the violence against our vice.

Kyle will be recording each months family faith formation session taken from Sophia Press's program: A Family of Faith.  Taking from the fourth section of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, this academic year we will going through Volume IV of the program which is on Christian Prayer.  In this first lesson, Fr. Kyle 1) goes through a short safe environment training with the parents to better equip them to protect their children 2) outlines the parents' responsibility as the primary educators of the faith 3) does a trivia game with the parents 4) goes through the Parent's Guide and Activity Guide workbooks.
