I’ve tried everything i can think of to help him change. Our finances are ruined and kids want nothing to do with him. Join Steve and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections.Questions:Luke 6:27-30 appears to prohibit service in the military as loving your enemy and engaging your enemy in combat are not compatible. I'm sure I'm missing something here, as almost all commentaries I can find do not prohibit us from serving in the military.I don't get it, if someone takes my shirt I give them my coat? What if they want to steal my child's coat? I can't ask for it back, let alone stop them? How does the church stand on the war in Iran?We encourage you to submit your questions at my3c.org and click on the tab that says "Ask a Question"

Q&A with Steve and Dave: The Lord’s Prayer
Join Steve and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections.Questions:Jesus gave clear instruction to pray to our father in Mt 6:9. And the father, throughout the OT, demanded we pray and worship only him. Jesus demonstrated prayer and worship to the father, not himself. So how is it justified to pray to Jesus under his clear instruction given in Mt 6:9? Hebrews 1:8 confuses the matter even more because Jesus has already died. So when God calls his own son God, who is he talking to that gave us this message? Why don’t we recite the Lord’s prayer as Jesus commanded us to?We encourage you to submit your questions at my3c.org and click on the tab that says "Ask a Question"

Q&A with Steve and Dave: Partnership and Pastoral Transition
Join Steve and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections.Questions:Can you explain partnership at Connections? Is it different from membership?Could you please explain the process of voting? Unless I misunderstood, you said that after a certain period of time, the members of Connections will have an opportunity to vote on the next lead pastor. But there is only one contender for the next lead pastor. So I’m confused as to what the point is of even voting. and what if the members of the church vote no, they don’t feel Perry is a good fit? Do you then have to start all over looking for a new lead pastor? Did the church look outside of our current congregation for any possible candidates? If not, why?We encourage you to submit your questions at my3c.org and click on the tab that says "Ask a Question"

Q&A with Steve and Dave: Pastoral Transition Questions
Join Steve and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections.Questions:With the announcement of Perry’s candidacy, it sounded like it was a done deal. Will the elders be reviewing other candidates? You said in the Q and A last week that our 3 part time staff members "could equal one person" in terms of what they do and provide. I think that is kind of our point that hiring people (mostly family members) without consult on their roles is a misuse of our funds.Dave making significantly more in his retirement fund than I make at my full time job each year has really made me uneasy. Q&A with Steve and Dave: Perfection and Politics
Join Steve and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections.Questions:When the Bible says someone is blameless does that mean they are without sin?Would the apostles that heard the message regarding the yeast of Herod have been capable of holding a political position or have been a political activist? I don't know much about the political climate or availability of political office.I’ve been feeling convicted about gossip and trying to step away from it. I have a friend I usually fall into gossip with, and I’m not sure what to do now that I’m trying to grow in this area. Should I have a conversation with them? Or is it better to just distance myself quietly and let the friendship fade? Q&A with Kristen and Dave: Prayer Struggles
Join Kristen and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections.Questions:I loved the sermons on prayer, but I always struggle with the part about forgiving those that hurt you. In regular circumstances I totally get this. However I struggle when someone continually hurts you and especially if they hurt someone else that you love dearly. I try to distance myself, but sometimes it's impossible to completely avoid people. There are days lately when I feel a strong urge not to pray. I still pray, but why would I feel like I don't want to pray? Also is there a wrong way to pray? I learned to pray from a piece of paper based off the Lord’s Prayer.Dave seemed to say that God will change His mind when we pray. I don’t think we can change God’s mind. Q&A with Steve and Perry: Denominational Divides part 1
Join Steve and Perry as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections. Questions: I appreciate the Q&A videos walking us through some of the major differences between us and the Catholic Church. Very insightful. And most of the time the differences in Christianity is seen through the lens of “protestantism vs catholicism”, but there are so many different types/denominations of protestant churches. It would be very helpful to many people, including myself, if you could do a breakdown of the different denominations, what they believe and where they differ from each other, and also why Connections isn’t part of a denomination. I’m sure we have people who grew up in the Lutheran church, or Baptist Church, or Methodist Church, etc. and now are all merged together at Connections. It could be helpful to breakdown those barriers that a lot of denominations create. We encourage you to submit your questions at my3c.org and click on the tab that says "Ask a Question"

Q&A with Steve and Perry: Grab Bag part 2
Join Steve and Perry as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections. Questions: I know I should pray, but I feel like a hypocrite when I do. It makes me not want to pray. Anything I should do? Am I missing something? Does talking to our dead loved ones violate the biblical standard of summoning the dead? I don't mean talking to them through mediums or psychics. I just mean plain conversation as if they can still hear us. In Genesis 4:13 Cain is concerned about being killed by those that may find him. Who could he possibly be talking about? Isn't there only Adam, Eve and Cain alive on the planet? Where did Cain's wife come from? We encourage you to submit your questions at my3c.org and click on the tab that says "Ask a Question"

Join Steve and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections. Questions: It looks to me like a lot of people who are not Christians have peace. If God is the source of peace, how do you explain this? So there’s this person in my family that really pushes my buttons. How do I not let them get to me? You said we should make amends with people as a way of bringing peace to the world. Q&A with Steve and Dave: Conflicts, Peace, and Not Enough Time
Join Steve and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections. Questions: We have adult children who don’t go to church or live by Christian values. When they are home we have conflicts over their lifestyles. How do we bring peace to our family under these circumstances? Our family is very busy. Our kids have lots of school activities and sports. My husband works long hours and is exhausted when he gets home. We want to focus on building our family, but it seems like we don’t have either the time or energy to do what we would like to do. Q&A with Steve and Dave: Hell and Faith
Join Steve and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections. Questions: Is Earth purgatory? Is it Hell? Is Earth the only place God made his image? In last Sunday’s sermon Perry talked about Jesus dying and going to Hell for 3 days. I always thought He was ministering to the dead there so all could have a chance to accept Christ as Savior. Or was He tormented in Hell as a guilty soul for 3 days? I know this wasn’t the main point of the sermon, but it struck me hard. How can I build my faith? We encourage you to submit your questions at my3c.org and click on the tab that says "Ask a Question"

Join Steve and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections. Questions: What are the limitations on churches and politics? Are there limits on how many sermons can touch on politics? When you try to influence culture by voting for those who hold Christian values and will pass Christian laws and policies, are you a Christian Nationalist? Are you forcing your religion on others? How does America heal after such a divided and hateful political campaign? We encourage you to submit your questions at my3c.org and click on the tab that says "Ask a Question"

Q&A with Perry and Dave: For King & Country part 1
Join Perry and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections. Questions: Did the Jews in Germany please God when they obeyed the Nazi government and walked into the boxcars? How do I honor politicians who delight in abortion? Please keep in mind I firmly believe abortion is murder. How do I train my soul to honor a government that I truly despise? You said in your sermon on Sunday that there’s a lot of people who are not voting. There’s also a lot of people who will be voting that are just filling in the circles and will not put any study into who they’re voting for. What responsibility (do we have) to be an informed voter? Questions: Where can I find good stories to tell? How can I tell better stories? How do you determine what is “worldly” and should not be practiced? Q&A with Steve and Dave: Unbelieving Family Members
Join Steve and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections. Questions: My husband is not a Christian. I would love a deeper explanation of 1st Corinthians 7:12-14. How is the unbelieving made holy by the spouse who believes? Why would the children be unclean? God promises that if we train up children in the way they should go, they won’t depart from it when they are older. But I have a child who has stopped being a Christian. He says he is agnostic. Can you help me understand this? We encourage you to submit your questions at my3c.org and click on the tab that says "Ask a Question"

Q&A with Steve and Dave: Helping our kids follow Jesus
Join Steve and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections. Questions: My children are older and now I have very little influence in their lives. I want them to live for Jesus and feel I’ve done a terrible job when they were going up teaching them how. Is there anything I can do now? Growing up we had family devotions and it always felt awkward. We’ve never done that with our kids, and now I’m wondering if maybe we should. Any advice? Q&A with Steve and Dave: Puzzling Passages
Join Steve and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections. Questions: Is God super-strict and quick to judge? In 2 Samuel chapter 6, when David was bringing the ark back to his city, the ark nearly toppled over. Uzzah attempted to prevent the fall and touched the ark. God was angry and killed Uzzah. There was a direction from God not to touch the ark but Uzzah attempted to do a good thing. Q&A with Kristen and Dave: The Will of God
Join Kristen and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections. Questions: How can I know God’s will for my life? Romans 12 talks about the good, acceptable and perfect wills of God. Are there different levels of God’s will? If I’ve forfeited God’s perfect will for my life, can I at least be in his good or acceptable will? I pray for the salvation of my children. But what it it’s not God’s will that they be saved? Join Steve and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections. I ask God for wisdom in making decisions, but my choices don’t seem to work out well. What am I doing wrong? So what’s the difference between being led by God’s Spirit and being wise? Q&A with Josh and Perry: Purpose, Community, and Guidance
Join Perry and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections. If other people are telling me something is not God’s plan for my life, how can I know for certain it isn’t God’s plan? I have started to see a lot of god related videos on social media. And I was wondering does god gets displeased if you don’t give your time to watch these videos? What is your opinion on people that Smoke and Drink Alcohol and party like the world, yet call themselves Christians and are on their way to Heaven?? Is there a time when we touch on the topic of satan/the devil? I love the positive messages of God and Jesus but I am curious as to why we do not talk about satan and the effects he can have on lives. If we believe in God then we do believe that satan is real and he is out there. We encourage you to submit your questions at my3c.org and click on the tab that says "Ask a Question"

Q&A with Josh and Dave: When Bad Things Happen
Join Perry and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections. When bad things happen I get very emotional and will say or do things I later regret. I want to trust God but I feel overwhelmed. What can I do? I trust God when bad things happen, but things never seem to turn around. One bad thing after another. When is God going to stop punishing me and do something good in my life? Kids die of cancer. Families get wiped out in floods. Little girls are trafficked for sex. If God is in control of all things, how could this be? Q&A with Perry and Dave: Sleep and Worry
Join Perry and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections. I have pre-school kids at home, and I work from home. I get most things done when the kids are napping, after my husband gets home, or after the kids have gone to bed. We have to get up at night to tend to the kid’s needs. How are we supposed to get the sleep we need? Are we damaging ourselves by not getting enough sleep in this stage of life? I have vivid dreams. Do these dreams mean anything? Is God trying to speak to me? I have tried to give my worries to God, but they keep coming back. I wake up during the night worrying. Is there anything else I can do? Paul said he was often sleepless. Did he have spiritual problems that kept him from sleep? Was he doing something wrong that kept him from getting enough sleep? Q&A with Josh and Dave: Tithing
Q&A with Josh and Dave: Tithing Join Josh and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections. Tithing was part of the OT law, and when Jesus came he fulfilled the law. So how do we justify tithing if the old laws were fulfilled? The following verses seem to dismiss tithing: 2 Corinthians 9:7, Psalms 50:7-14, and Proverbs 21:3. Is it better to give 3% with a glad heart than grudgingly give 10% out of obligation? If you can’t afford to tithe, should you still do it and not pay your bills? We encourage you to submit your questions at my3c.org and click on the tab that says "Ask a Question"

Q&A with Josh and Dave: Songs, Salvation, and Samson
Join Josh and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections. Sometimes we sing a song that includes a verse “there is no judgment”, referencing Jesus. Understanding that God is just and has right judgment that is loving towards us, how does this line in the song fit our understanding of biblical judgment? When I was searching for God as a kid I went to different churches. One believes if you’re not saved you are in a pit of eternal darkness without a soul. Another belief was you are in an eternal lake of fire. I love my children and I know God loves us - I can’t imagine eternal suffering from our Father. What is the truth if we are not saved? Judges 13 states Samson was a nazarite. Numbers 6 states a Nazarite wasn't to go near a dead body. How was it acceptable for him to kill 1000 men with a donkey's jawbone? Q&A with Josh and Dave: More End Times and Some Current Events
Join Josh and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections. What happens to the unborn, infants and the mentally disabled during the rapture? In Revelation 20:6, what is meant by the first resurrection? I’m struggling with support/Scripture about the people of Israel being God’s chosen people, especially in light of 2 things. 1. The current situation in Gaza and the horrifying statistic of 35,000 Palestinians massacred. 2. In John the Bible says that Jesus is the only way to eternity in heaven, and the Jewish people don’t recognize Jesus as the Son of God. How can they be His chosen people? Q&A with Josh and Dave: It’s the End of the World As We Know It - part 5
Join Josh and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections. Do people live everywhere on the new earth or just in the New Jerusalem? In the message from last Sunday, the square mileage of the final kingdom is 1200. How will that accommodate everyone throughout the history of mankind? Is it possible to sin in heaven? Will we still have free will? Is it true that we will never see or know our loved ones once we pass and go to heaven? Is heaven different for each person based on what would be their ideal heaven? Is the beast that you spoke of a metaphor or does it really look as described? Is the antichrist Satan in a humanlike form? How will we know not to believe the antichrist and be able to recognize him as such? How will it work when you have lost a spouse, but remarry? Who will you be with in heaven? Q&A with Josh and Dave: It’s the End of the World As We Know It - part 3
Join Josh and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections. There seems to be a debate on pre-tribulation vs. post-tribulation rapture. Connections appears to support the pre-tribulation rapture. What evidence is there for each? How do we ensure our theology is correct? Is this something we should be concerned with? How do we know that after the rapture is done, that it wont go back to how the world is now? During the 1000 year reign do the people who were saved during the tribulation still have mortal bodies? Will the “unglorified saints” that are put under our authority still be sinful in nature? These are essentially people that survive the tribulations that also believe in Christ, so they are unglorified because that have not died? Is there a difference between being Jewish by ancestry and by belief? Will the Jewish people saved in the millennium be that of Jewish ancestry? In the sermon, you spoke about NT and OT saints rising. This implies they haven't risen yet. So where are they now? Where do we reside after death if we don't rise directly to heaven? If we do rise to heaven upon death, you mentioned in the sermon that the dead saints would be returned to Earth to live in peace under Jesus’ reign along with all who believe in Jesus. The Bible says, in the story of the rich man in hell, that we can't cross over the chasm. So how could heaven's residents cross back to Earth? How will it work when you have lost a spouse, but remarry? Who will you be with in heaven? We encourage you to submit your questions at my3c.org and click on the tab that says "Ask a Question"

Q&A with Josh and Dave: It’s the End of the World As We Know It - part 2
Q&A with Josh and Dave: It’s the End of the World As We Know It - part 2 Join Josh and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections. Dave mentioned there are no signs (for the rapture) in the Bible. However there are references to Luke 21:25-28 referencing the sun and moon before the Son of Man comes in the clouds. Also Acts 2:19-20 speaks of signs on the earth beneath with blood, fire etc. (I have family who) believes the Bible says there are signs. How do we account for these teachings? So what is the “abomination of desolation”? And where does it fit into the end times? If those left behind after the rapture being able to still be saved during the tribulation, then what about those that died before the rapture happened? Do they also get a “second chance”? You seem to be leaving a lot of the Book of Revelation out. How do the other parts fit into the story? Q&A with Josh and Dave: Who should we pray to?
Join Josh and Dave as they dig a little deeper into the questions that you have about our series, what we believe, and what to expect from Connections. Questions: Jesus gave clear instruction to pray to our father in Mt 6:9. Is it OK to pray to Mary and to the saints? We encourage you to submit your questions at my3c.org and click on the tab that says "Ask a Question"
