After a break in creating content, we’re joyful to be back! And we have plenty of updates to share. The power of words… how often do we really recognize the impact of what we speak into the world? What you say, holds more power than you may think! In this episode, we have a conversation about the power of life giving words. And how life and death is truly in the power of our tongue. Through personal conviction, and leaning on the truth of God’s word, we have been learning so much in this area. Whether it be, mindfulness towards gossiping, speaking positively in a negative environment, or providing encouragement to loved ones, there are so many ways in which the concept of choosing our words carefully has changed our lives! In this episode, “Convictions: Christianity and Drinking” we begin a series on conversations about convictions in our faith. Overall, our heart is to shed some light on what conviction is, how and why we should follow the things the Lord lays on our heart, and also the fact that convictions are truly personal and at the individual level.  This is not an episode to say, “do what we do” but rather “do what the Lord asks of you.” This is not our attempt to say “do/don’t do this” to earn favor with God. Rather, fall more in love with the Lord and let that produce a desire and excitement to abide in him.  The topic of drinking has truly been one we have spent so much time learning about, and we want to be so sensitive to the place in which each listener could be upon listening. If you fear this is a sermon in which someone is going to self righteously suggest “just quit” or shame you into change, rest assured that is not what you will be hearing. Instead, you are going to find two girls who have grown in their love for the Lord in such a way, that He would be so kind as to convict and move in our hearts in a way that has changed our lives. And as He does so in ours, He has asked us to take the step of obedience in sharing about it with you! What will the New Year look like for you?  In this episode, Avry & Ally talked all things Faith, God’s beautifully crafted timing, and what can happen when we obey his commands.  It’s no secret that God’s plan will ultimately always be better than our own. However, learning to lean on His understanding apart from our own is no easy task. He calls us to walk by Faith… to know there is beyond what we can see.  We may not be able to see what 2025 will bring us, but we can rest in knowing that HE DOES! Plans can change suddenly, we’ve all experienced it! But what about the type of change that happens somewhere within, not necessarily circumstantial change? “A change of heart," when God transforms your desires into something different.
