Glory

This will be the first message of a series on the glory of God.The word glory is one of those words that seems to get thrown around a lot among the believers of Jesus. We need to remind ourselves that the scriptures are a combination of languages that have been translated into English. The Old Testament was originally both Hebrew and some Aramaic. The New Testament is mostly from the Greek language with a little Hebrew and Aramaic found in the four gospels. As the old saying goes, “The Old Testament is Jesus CONCEALED and the New is Jesus REVEALED.” The same goes for the word glory. The New Covenant shows us something about glory that was there all along but is brought forth through Paul’s inspired teachings.

As we gather today on December 4th 2022, I have for the last month or so been doing some basic teachings (at least for us it’s basic) on the Wisdom and Glory of God. If anyone has been paying attention, they would notice that these two subjects overlap and lead to one another. As in: heavenly wisdom and heaven's view and opinion. Sophia and Doxa. What a nice name for a couple or sermon title.🤔🤔Anyway, I want to try and use these teachings to facilitate a congregation discussion as to what we foresee the imminent Glory Explosion looking like. What would it really look like if His Doxa truly fills the earth like the water fills the sea? If time allows, I will lay a foundation from Genesis 1 that will reveal the original intent of God when He created the earth and mankind. From His perspective, what is our identity and what does dominion mean?Scriptures-Genesis 1:1-5 ESVGenesis 1:26-27 ESV

    > Glory

We began last week in our comparison teaching of the glory of Moses’ covenant of law, and that greater glory of Jesus’ covenant of Grace. I attempted to highlight the amazing demonstration of the Presence of God in the Old Testament. As majestic and awe inspiring as it was, it was a fading and lesser type of glory. This week you will see what makes Jesus’ covenant of Grace a better type of Glory, which never fades away. This is one to share with all of your friends and family. Christian and non-Christian alike.

We should be inspired if we keep in mind that the Lord has saved the best for last, and the Bible says that the latter rain of glory will be greater than the former.Scriptures- 1 Kings 8:6-11 NLT           Exodus 34:27-25 NLT           Exodus 32:27-28 NLT
