27: Profit and Presence: Yes, You Can Have Both

In this episode, I sat down with Lauren Apple, a scaling strategist, keynote speaker, and CEO of Profit and Presence, to talk about what it really looks like to build a successful business without sacrificing your life at home. From the very beginning, Lauren shared a powerful perspective on branding, focusing less on impressing people and more on making them feel seen, understood, and given permission to want both profit and presence.Lauren opened up about her journey from ministry into the online business world and how a pivotal moment with her family forced her to rethink everything. Despite running a highly successful business, she realized she had built what she calls a “beautiful prison”, a version of success that looked good on paper but didn’t align with the life she actually wanted. That moment sparked a complete shift, leading her to rebuild her business in a way that supports both her ambitions and her role as a present parent. We also talked about the realities of being a CEO parent and how traditional productivity advice often doesn’t fit this season of life. Lauren shared practical strategies for creating systems that work within your real constraints, setting boundaries, and scaling not just revenue, but margin. For her, scaling margin means creating space: time to be with your family, time to rest, and time to actually enjoy the life you’re building.A big part of our conversation focused on mindset, how limiting beliefs, societal expectations, and internalized stories can hold us back from fully stepping into both roles. Lauren shared how important it is to balance action with reflection, test what works for your life, and let go of the idea that there’s only one “right” way to succeed. Her approach is simple but powerful: define your non-negotiables, build your business around them, and give yourself permission to do things differently. We wrapped up by talking about what it means to truly have both profit and presence. Lauren’s message is clear: you don’t have to choose between a thriving business and a meaningful personal life, but you do have to be intentional about how you build both.

26: Plot Twist! Here's What Season Two is All About

I’m back for season two with a big update: the podcast has officially been rebranded from Magnetic Coach to Grown From Within. During my break, I gave myself the space to reflect on what I truly enjoyed creating and what resonated most with you. I realized that the conversations around personal growth, mindset, and emotional resilience were the ones I felt most connected to, and that clarity led me here. This change wasn’t easy, but I’ve learned that growth sometimes asks us to pivot and trust ourselves along the way.I also share more about the shifts happening in my business: I’ve moved from focusing solely on coaches to supporting a wider range of small and service-based business owners, largely influenced by my experience in a new networking group. I talk about how I’m simplifying things, leaning into what actually drives results, and letting go of the pressure to show up everywhere. Alongside that, I open up about my journey with goal setting this year.In this episode I am reflecting on one of the biggest highlights of my quarter: co-leading a large Women in Business event. This experience pushed me far outside my comfort zone, especially when it came to public speaking. I share how old fears resurfaced, where they came from, and how I worked through them to step onto that stage with confidence and a sense of calm. It was such a full-circle moment for me, and a reminder that growth isn’t just about what we achieve, but about who we become in the process. As I step into this new season, I’m so excited for what’s ahead: new conversations, new guests, and a more holistic approach to what it means to grow a business. My intention with Grown From Within is to explore that intersection between personal and professional growth, because in my experience, they’re deeply connected. When we grow from within, everything else starts to expand too.

25: Mindset, Self-Love, and Success with Helen Eimers

In this episode, I talked with Helen Eimers, a success coach and hypnotherapist who helps high-achieving women entrepreneurs. We spoke about how much our thoughts shape our confidence, our actions, and our results. Helen shared how her work focuses on mindset, self-love, and simple tools that help women feel more confident and calm in everyday moments. She explained how small habits and fun practices can help us reset our thoughts and show up more fully in our lives and businesses.Helen also shared her personal journey from being a burned-out nurse to becoming a coach. She opened up about losing her mother at a young age, struggling with people-pleasing, and ignoring her own needs for many years. Through therapy, coaching, and deep personal work, she learned how to take care of herself, change her thinking, and trust her path. She also talked about her book, The Change: Insights Into Self Empowerment, a collection of heartfelt stories, actionable insights, and transformational wisdom. We ended by talking about branding, entrepreneurship, and the importance of staying true to yourself. Helen reminded me that success is not just about money or growth, but about loving yourself, staying grounded, and choosing thoughts that support you. Her message was clear: see yourself through love, celebrate small wins, and don’t be afraid to show up as your real, imperfect, and joyful self.

24: Putting a Face to Your Brand with Mychelle Gacke

I’ve been wanting to bring a brand photographer onto the show for a long time, and this conversation felt like the perfect fit. I’m joined by Mychelle Gacke of M. Kaye Photography, and we talk all about what brand photography really is, why it goes so much deeper than a quick headshot session, and how powerful it can be for coaches and business owners who want to show up confidently and consistently online. We dive into her journey into brand photography, what lights her up about working with small businesses, and how strategy and prep make such a big difference before you ever step in front of the camera. We also talk through the biggest mistakes business owners make with photos, from relying too heavily on stock imagery to not having enough content to show up consistently. Mychelle shares what clients often worry about most, like what to wear and how the process works, and explains how she helps bring a brand to life through thoughtful planning, creative direction, and personality-driven images. We even touch on AI generated photos and why real human connection still matters so much in branding. Toward the end of the conversation, we get really practical about what to do after your brand shoot is over. We talk about how to actually use your photos and videos, avoid overthinking them, and keep showing up even when it feels uncomfortable at first. Mychelle shares more about her new Beyond the Shoot sessions and how she helps clients turn their galleries into real, usable content. This one is full of encouragement, honest insight, and a behind-the-scenes look at how strong visuals can support a magnetic, aligned brand.

23: How I’m Doing Goal Setting Differently This Year

On this episode, I'm sharing how I am approaching goal setting in a radically different way as I step into a new calendar year. Instead of rushing to set big, rigid goals, I talk about slowing down, leaning into the wintering season, and only planning for the first quarter (or season) of the year. This approach is less about pressure and more about intention, clarity, and choosing what actually supports my life and business.I also dive into how I’m thinking about goal setting moving forward, including my word of the year and why that framework feels more aligned right now. I share what to consider when choosing a word of the year, along with a few things to avoid so it doesn’t turn into another source of stress or self criticism. This episode is an invitation to explore a different approach to goal setting and create a vision for the year ahead that feels grounded and calm and still successful and fulfilling both personally and professionally.

22: Creating Space for What’s Next

I'm putting a bow on 2025 by talking about one of my favorite end-of-year rituals...creating space for what’s next. This quiet stretch between Christmas and the new year is such a sacred time to pause, reflect, and make room for growth. Because before we can welcome new ideas, opportunities, or aligned clients, we have to gently let go of what’s no longer serving us.I’ll walk you through how to clear some of the clutter in your business, your brand, and even your mindset so you can step into the new year feeling lighter and more aligned. From retiring outdated offers to refreshing your brand visuals and releasing old beliefs that hold you back, this episode is a soulful invitation to simplify and realign. As you sip your coffee and look ahead, I hope this conversation helps you breathe a little deeper, reflect a little slower, and remember that you don’t need a brand new you this year, just a spacious you who is ready to receive what’s next.

21: When and How to Audit Your Brand

I’m diving into a topic that hits home for so many business owners: what to do when your brand just doesn’t feel like “you” anymore. As we grow personally and professionally, our brands should evolve with us. But often, they get stuck reflecting an old version of who we were, not who we’ve become. In this episode, I talk about how to recognize the signs that it’s time for a rebrand, how to audit your brand to see what’s working (and what’s not), and how to make intentional changes that bring everything back into alignment.I walk you through how to audit your brand step by step, including questions to help you reflect:✨ Revisit your brand foundations:Do my mission, vision, and values still feel true?Do they reflect who I am now and where I’m headed?Am I still speaking to the same audience—or has that shifted?🎨 Review your visuals:Do my logo, colors, and photography still represent me and the energy I bring to my work?Would my dream client feel connected to this aesthetic?💻 Audit your platforms:Is my voice consistent across my website, Instagram, podcast, and emails?Does my content reflect the quality and direction of my business today? What no longer feels aligned or up to date?💬 Get an outside perspective: Ask people you trust (or even your clients):What three words come to mind when you think of my brand? What do you think I’m best known for?How would you describe my vibe and brand personality?🌿 Reflect on your vision:What do I want my brand to feel like moving forward? How do I want people to feel when they experience my work? What parts of me need to shine through more—the playful side, the grounded side, the expert, the human?I also talk about how to plan for change, because rebranding doesn’t have to happen all at once. Whether it’s refining your message, refreshing your visuals, or doing a full brand overhaul, it’s about creating a brand that feels true to who you are right now.If your brand feels a little “itchy” or out of alignment, this episode will help you reconnect with what’s working, refine what’s not, and rediscover that sense of clarity and confidence in your brand again.

20: Things I’m Thankful My Business Taught Me

In this episode, I’m reflecting on the gentle lessons I'm thankful that my business taught me this year. From a dream rebrand that came together in perfect divine timing to a client who found me through Google, these moments reminded me that good things happen when you trust the process and keep showing up.I’m also sharing what I learned from setting a goal of 52 coffee connections and how genuine conversations create momentum, spark new ideas, and build community. And, of course, the reminder that taking messy, imperfect action (like starting this podcast!) is often exactly what moves us forward. If you’ve been craving clarity or feeling a little stuck, consider this your reminder that growth happens in the small, honest moments...one coffee chat, one post, one step at a time.
