Theological Flux seems to be the name of the game for the modern church. Swinging back and forth over issues, never arriving and resting at what the Bible says about it, plagues the Church. Is there a tool that can be used to slow the swing? Perhaps this can be found in the classic confessions of the Church in the past.

In the world of theology, things can get ugly from time to time. While there have been very heated debates in the past (see Nicholas punching Arius at the Council of Nicea), very often simple disagreements are blown out of proportion. One case is when opposing, yet closely related, interpretive methods are used and one side accuses the other of heresy when it is really not.
