5. Why 40 Days?
So many of the things we hope to change in our lives are directly rooted in our beliefs about something. Your emotions, beliefs, and your thoughts are all encoded inside your blood cells, which renew in your body every 40 days. If you have ever felt like changing your beliefs or feelings seems to take a while, this would be why. Because old beliefs have to literally "die out" of your system. In this lesson, you will learn the science behind a 40-day meditation practice and receive the invitation to commit to your own 40-day experiment.

In this lesson, we're going to learn the 3 foundation principles of meditation. Whether you are new to meditation or a seasoned meditator, these foundation principles are what hold everything together. They are: Breath, Posture, and Forgiveness.

Meditation can look many different ways and there is a whole spectrum of styles. In this lesson we will explore three main styles: 1. Pure Awareness 2. Anchored Meditation 3. Spiritual Creation meditation. The beauty of having different styles of meditation is this gives you variety and invites you to tailor your approach according to what you need in the moment.
