Heart Talks with God

Welcome to another episode. Today’s topic is about guarding our eyes—and not only that, but guarding ourselves from anything the enemy may try to use to cause us to stumble.We’ll be reading from Matthew 6:21–23:“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!”As we dive into this, I encourage you to allow the Lord to open your heart and speak to you through this message.

As we begin this series, we will be discussing the heart and the importance of allowing God to search and examine it. Our hearts hold our thoughts, intentions, and desires, and sometimes there are hidden things within us that we may not even recognize.Psalm 19:12 reminds us of this truth, teaching us that there can be hidden faults in our hearts that only God can reveal. This is why it is so important to invite Him to search us, correct us, and guide us in His ways.In this episode, we reflect on why allowing God to check our hearts is an important part of our spiritual growth and relationship with Him.
