Hello Hollis Podcast
by Hollis English
Welcome to the Hello Hollis podcast! This podcast is essentially a running conversation between you and me. Think of it as one never-ending voice note where I share what’s on my mind while on the go and living life. What does that mean? It means this podcast is recorded in one take, wherever I am—whether I’m out for a walk, driving in the car, or cooking dinner. You get to come along for the ride, listen in, and chat with me—well, actually, I get to chat with you, and you get to listen, but you get the idea. It’s unfiltered, unedited, and raw—one-sided conversations where I share thoughts on entrepreneurship, lifestyle, parenting, personal and professional growth, and everything in between.I can’t wait for you to tune in to these voice notes from the entrepreneurship coach (me!) you didn’t know you needed!A new batch of deliciously bite-sized episodes drop every Monday! Bon Appetit!

Walk with Me: Unconscious permission
In this episode of Hello Hollis, I’m diving into the concept of unconscious permission and how the way we show up in our lives has far more influence than we think. I talk about that instinct we all have to want other people to change and how frustrating it can feel when they don’t. But the real shift happens when we turn inward. Instead of trying to control or fix someone else, I talk about how choosing to live in alignment with what we actually want becomes the most powerful catalyst for change, both for ourselves and for the people around us.I share how simply being who you want to be and doing what you feel called to do gives others a kind of silent permission to do the same. It is not about forcing or convincing anyone, it is about leading by example in a way that creates possibility. I want you to notice where you are already being that example, to take inspiration from others doing what you desire, and to see it all as proof that what you want is available to you too!

Walk with Me: Let’s go deeper on “once in a lifetime”
In this episode of Hello Hollis, I’m going a little deeper on something I touched on in the last episode around the idea of “once in a lifetime.” I really have thought more about how our brains and bodies often push back against the very things we say we want, especially when those things feel bigger, more expansive, or outside of what we’re used to. My recent trip to England and Ireland with my family felt like what you’d want to label “once in a lifetime” because it can actually be a way of keeping ourselves safe and contained instead of allowing for more of it.We get into how this shows up in everyday life and business too, from how we think about travel to something as simple as having slow mornings. I share a conversation with a client that really highlights how uncomfortable it can feel to imagine having what we want all the time, and why that discomfort is worth paying attention to. This episode is an invitation to start noticing your language, question the limits you might be placing on yourself, and get curious about what you actually want your baseline to be.

Walk with Me in England: Why this isn’t a “once in a lifetime” trip
In this episode of Hello Hollis, I’m out on a walk while traveling through England and Ireland with my husband and kids, reflecting on a phrase we use all the time: “once in a lifetime.” This trip is deeply meaningful, returning to places I once lived, introducing my children to people and experiences that shaped me, and it would be so easy to label it as a one-time, bucket-list moment. But the more I sit with it, the more I realize I don’t want it to be.I share why I’m intentionally shifting away from that kind of language and how calling something “once in a lifetime” can quietly limit what we believe is possible. Instead, I’m choosing to see this as something we get to create again, because this is the life I’m building my business around. This episode is a reminder that you’re allowed to want more of what you love, and that the goal isn’t rare, one-off moments, it’s creating a life where those experiences become part of your normal.

Jet Lag with Me: Would you rather…
Still across the pond. Still jet lagged. And yet, as I was willing myself unsuccessfully to sleep (and told myself to get a grip) I said to myself “In this moment I would rather be in England awake, exhausted, frustrated and jet lagged than home asleep and rested”. And that reminder to myself was enough to snap out of the pity party and lean into to the gratitude of actually living in my goal fulfilled. Being here was the goal. We’re here, exhausted and overtired but I chose this. The same applies to your goals and the entrepreneurial journey we create for ourselves. When things get frustrating, remind ourselves of the bigger picture.

Jet Lag with Me: What England has to do with Your Goal
Hello Hollis takes a trip across the pond and well the jet lag is real. Not so much for me but for my kids and therefore also me. I’d be sleeping if it were up to me instead of 4 small humans whose circadian rhythm is all mixed up.In any case, in this episode I share my aha moment after arriving in England that has everything to do with your goals (and mine). A bit of context, I lived here as a nanny 17 years ago and was here last 9 years ago. I love it so much and have been wanting to come back for years with my kids. When I arrived the revelation I had was “oh, Englands been here THIS WHOLE time”. I just had to get on a plane to get here (yes there’s lots more bits there but in its simplicity it’s true). It was always here available to me. Co-existing even though I wasn’t experiencing it. The SAME is true of your goals. They are here now. And available to you. It made me feel so much closer to my goals and I hope you to yours. Go get it.

Rant with me: Stop being a dustpan and start being a broom
News flash.... We teach people how to treats us. Our standards and our way of being let others know what our expectations are and when we realize that we aren't being treated in the way that we want, it's time to raise those standards. Will everyone instantly adhere to them. Likely not, but at least you now get the choice to decide who you want to work with and have relationships with from a place of empowerment. Because here is the real kicker. We expect people to adhere to standards that we have NEVER communicated. Invisible standards. We are setting up others and honestly ourselves for failure. No one gets your best (not you, your family, your clients) when we allow ourselves to live without standards and when we behave like a dustpan, cleaning up the messes around us instead of behaving like the broom thats in charge. You deserve more for yourself and so do your clients and your friends and family. Setting these standards will benefit everyone. So start small my friends. Be the broom. Be in charge of your life and your business. And have a freaking awesome day. xoxoxo.

Drive with me: Where are you going and what do you want?
Ok, I am starting Season 2 with this episode. One where I start uncertain about the time of death of this podcast... admit that I lost the plot somewhere back in the Fall and share that yes it's time to go back. Admittedly, I recorded this in December and am only now releasing it but I know that the message still tracks and honestly after a break feels like the right start to this next season. If there was a billboard along the highway that said MORE OF THIS PLEASE! What would be your "this"? What do you want more of in this next year, in this next season of life? It's time to get really specific. Not just saying that you want something restful (though its a lovely thought). I want you to get more specific. More clear. I want more slow mornings, client work to start after 10am, being in bed by 10pm etc. Vague is out. Specific is in. You know what else is in. Changing your mind. And being ok with it. Being clear on what you do or don't want and then sharing it with whomever needs to hear it. Not waiting for anyone else for permission to change your mind. The faster we can navigate our way to the destination the longer we get to be in what lights us up. Win win win.

Drive with Me: What if you ONLY did what you LOVED and left the rest
Apparently midnight car drives are inspiration for podcasts. This episode dives into what might be possible for you if you only said YES to things you actually wanted to do/wear/say/be etc. I know, I know, this is a radical idea. What if you only said yes to things that felt like a FULLY BODY 'HELL YES'. What if there was less in your calendar/closet/plans/schedule that was not aligned and more space for what is?! We may worry that we will offend people and/or have nothing to do/wear/be if we said no to those mid range things we only sort of liked. I argue that it would actually create MORE. More space for things we actually love and want to do. Its like a light bulb that doesn't have enough electricity to burn the brightest. We are running ourselves into the ground and leaving ourselves with no power. Let me tell you the most powerful math equations you can do are SUBTRACTION not adding more in. What if the space and "less-ness" actually was more?! What if less is the greatest path to discovering what you actually LOVED?! Listen, this isn't about changing immediately over night. It's about permission to do only what you want. How much more joyfully would you show up everywhere!? If you want to stop doing content that doesn't light you up, that doesn't connect and feels dim send me a DM and we need to create something that aligns with your most human/best/fun self.

Drive With Me: I demand you be CRINGE so that you don't miss out on life
My daughter recently did a project where she stepped out of her comfort zone and then at one point asked me if I thought it was "too much" and "too cringe". And I honestly told her that if she was avoiding being cringe then she was actively avoiding joy and life experiences that she would love and learn from. I cannot stand that you are missing out on your life for fear of being cringe. Cannot. Stand. It. And I want you to get behind the importance of just doing it. Because all cringe is, is our own judgements about ourselves and others and it's only keeping you small. Avoiding cringe serves no one but your ego. Ok. There I said it. If you want to actively participate in your life, I want you to run towards cringe at every opportunity. I want you to jump in with both feet. If you want help to grow your content and realllllly connect with your audience on Instagram then send me a DM and we will connect about creating content that is cringe and fun and light and actually feels like the you you are IRL.

Fold Laundry with Me: Why getting dressed with intention has changed everything
What happens when you stop writing things off as ‘not for you’ and start getting curious—one intentional outfit at a time? This month I’ve been running a little experiment: getting dressed with intention every single day, inspired by my gorgeous friend and style leader Katherine Connected. Three weeks in, I can tell you it has changed everything—the way I show up online, with my family, with clients, and even with myself. In this episode, I’m sharing how something as simple as style can shift your energy and help you embody the future version of yourself you’re stepping into. From cleaning out my closet to thrifting new pieces I once thought “weren’t for me,” I’ve been getting curious about what happens when we stop writing things off before we try them.Consider this your invitation to explore one small shift that connects you with your future self and brings more joy into your everyday life.

Drive With Me: What Time Freedom Really Looks Like
If you think time freedom means you get to do what you want, when you want then you are right, mostly. Sometimes it gets interpreted as "I don't have to work ever" when really its about scheduling in whats most important first then holding yourself accountable to do what you need to do at a different time. We have to begin from the place of what would I love and then build out our commitments around that. Being disciplined with our time and our commitment to do the work in the time we have allotted is the key to freedom. It has always been my top value in entrepreneurship and I want you enjoying all the things that matter most to you AND getting your work done!

Walk with Me: STOP apologizing and do what you want
Well peeps its been a a few weeks since my last episode. August really took me for a spin - and I loved it. Full on fun. Full on calendars. Back to back to back activities. I need to sleep all September to recover but I loved all the things we fit into the month! We are back to the podcast and I loved chatting with you today about dropping back into life/habits and routines this Fall and NOT apologizing for being MIA. I spoke about this on IG as well. No apologies are needed. You were doing you. Everyone was doing them. Just dive back in with excitement. Thats all that is required. Let's stop worrying about who is doing it this way or that and do what you want, how you want. OK!? Full permission.

Chat with Me: One of the most IMPORTANT things you can do as an entrepreneur
As entrepreneurs we sometimes forget that we have ownership and choice about who we work with. In this episode we are diving into why it is wildly important to protect your energy, your health and your wealth by letting go of clients, customers and partnerships that are not values aligned. The cost of a client that is not aligned is WAY more than you are getting paid. The hours you spend thinking about the client that isn't the right fit is costing you so much in mental energy and takes a physical toll AND it means you are giving your ideal clients (that you LOVE) a subpar version of you. It's time to take an audit of what feels like a drain and close that leak before you drown ok? Your health and your wealth is riding on you deeply prioritizing clients who share your values and feel like a great fit for you. There are hundreds and thousands of people that need what you offer AND are delightfully aligned humans! Let's go get them.

Drink Tea with Me: Discover what is is possible FOR YOU
This topic absolutely lights me up! Possibilities! Playing around with what is possible for you. We have an awareness of what is possible for other people but we do not give ourselves the same runway. There is a huge gap between it is possible and it is possible FOR ME. We keep so much at arm's length because we buy into why we can't have what we want and we tell ourselves endless stories about why that is. I think one of the most impactful things we can do is push the limits of what is possible for ourselves and the first step is recognizing how big that gap is and working to close it. Awareness is key and then curiosity must follow. We have to get curious about why, when, and how it could be possible for us to achieve what we want. Dive in my friend to all the possibilities and follow the small steps to get there

Talk with me: Self Improvement is voluntary so what will you choose?
In today's episode we dive into the reality that self-improvement, self-growth and betterment is voluntary. There is no one (or at least very rarely) that is making you do the work to better yourself. That is both freeing and frustrating when you realize that. You are free to choose and also free to avoid. I think it comes down to what 'hard' we want to choose in our life. No one is immune to pain and difficulties in life but how we choose to grow from them and face them is another thing completely. Doing the work of self-growth is hard, it can be messy, painful and uncomfortable. So is not doing the work and meeting the external circumstances that befall you without the inner resilience, or peace or strength to deal with those things. While hard, yes, I choose the voluntary work every time. I am here for it and here for you on this journey.

Sit Poolside with me: What my Triathlon is showing you about your own goals
Still at the public pool loving life. Still talking to you. And finally I am sharing about my triathlon. But its not about my triathlon its about you and your goals. I want you to think of something that is important for you to do, no matter how big or small. And remember that you don't need to wait for the perfect conditions, resources or tools to do what you want to do. That is a self sabotaging stalling tactic and I am calling you out. I did the triathlon with some training (but not anywhere near my full plan), my husbands regular bicycle and with my water bottle twist tied to the bike because I didn't have a holder. Objectively, I wasn't prepared or as organized as I could have been but also I still went and did it anyways. I trusted that I could do it, set simply the goal to complete it (with no time attachment) and MacGyver'd my way along to the finish line. It doesn't have to be pretty or new or shiny or all together to just do the thing. Decide. Commit. Make it work. Its important to you for a reason so make it happen.

Sit Poolside with me: Why Summer is my forever favourite
Yes, you heard it here first. I made my kids dreams come true by taking them to the local public pool. They have been begging for years and with access to many a family member's pool I haven't been motivated to go. But today was the day. And it was a delight. Sit public poolside with me as I share about why Summer will always be my favourite season, heat and all. The sun, the lack of clothing and shoes for my kids, the most delicious in season Ontario fruit. Just living the luxurious Summer life and am soaking in every moment and every bite and hope you are too!

Arrange flowers with me: SHOW UP and CONNECT to your audience with ALL parts of you
The pursuit of professionalism is coming at the cost of connection and I am not here for it. Arrange flowers with me as I remind you that you get to show up as your whole, wonderful, unique self and it doesn't have to always have a business-y slant. Tell the people what you like, what you don't like, what you're up to. We are nosey. We want to know you. We want to buy from you. We want to support you but you aren't letting us in to WHO you are ARE. We are way too wrapped up with not having a 'common thread' with our content and that its not professional enough. I am calling BS. The common thread is YOU. Hello?! You are the person that connects all these pieces of you and of those pieces some will land and truly connect with different members of your audience. We are human. We need connection so stop denying it to the people. Share what is up with you - it doesn't have to be open intimate details - but what about how you take your coffee, sports you like, books you're reading, thoughts you're having. Let us IN. And watch your engagement and business grow!

Chat with me: DO WHAT YOU WANT with the autonomy and power you have as an entrepreneur
The podcast took a vacation last week. Did I tell you, no. Did I tell anyone!? Also no. And guess what? The world kept turning. Listen, I wanted to tell you I was going AWOL for a week, I had intended to but then I used my time for other things and thus ran out of available time. I always strive to be a person of integrity and who's word means something AND sometimes life happens and things shift and well tasks go undone. This podcast is all about reminding you that as an entrepreneur you have more power and autonomy that you give yourself credit for. You built a business, you are the boss. I am not saying that consistency and credibility don't matter - they do. What I am saying is if you aren't using your power and wielding the autonomy of being your own boss to make your life more joyful and happy then what are you doing!? Give yourself a break. Give yourself grace. You make the rules and you can break them. Go on holiday and don't tell anyone, I dare you**if you are your own boss only, don't bail on your workplace.

Rant with Me: Why Emotional Connection in your Marketing Matters MOST
Listen, I talked about this on Instagram this week and boy did it resonate with you all. I felt it needed a permanent spot and a deeper dive here on the podcast. YOU are your most valuable asset to your business in many ways but most importantly because you are you. Unique, brilliant, wonderful you. You might be thinking that you aren't really that unique or special - incorrect. There is no one on the face of this very vast earth that has had the cumulative life, work, lived experiences you have. There just isn't. So please share your thoughts, life and opinions with us! What makes people want to work with you isn't your strategy or your pricing, its if they feel CONNECTED to you. If they feel like you see them, are a real human being and are putting yourself out there. Building connection, getting your audience to know, like and trust you is a MUST before they will be buying from you. The fastest way to do that is to share authentically and honestly who you are. It may not always feel comfortable but its work stepping into if you want to grow your business and your impact.

Do Yard Work with Me: Celebrating 2 Months of the Podcast!
The episode is a little about yard work and a lot about thank YOU for listening to to my ramblings for 2 months now! We are almost 30 episodes and 600 downloads in and I am just unbelievably grateful for you for tuning in. This style of podcast just isn't done, short, completely unedited voice notes and I am so thrilled that it is resonating with you. I love getting messages, DMs and voice notes back about what has landed or what you've loved. It really is a one way conversation so I am extra excited when I get that 2 way connection and conversation back! This weekend we removed the fence in our backyard that has been held up by some vines, a hope and a prayer for years. It was beyond time and I couldn't be more thrilled to be rid of it (and a lot of broken tree branches). Success all around this weekend!

Pack for Camping With Me: Stop with the over preparing ok?!
This episode is as much for me as it is for you. Pack for camping with me as I overpack and over prepare and try and talk myself off the ledge of how many pairs of hard pants I need (the correct answer is zero). I am a chronic over-packer. I know it. The airlines know it. I won't usually go anywhere without being over prepared. And I know I am not alone. This not only applies to my suitcase but how I also I have approached business in the past. I have waited until I have gathered EVERYTHING before setting off on my journey in business and well if you do that you will not even get started. You have to get out the door and you can pick up what you need on route. That is true for business AND camping. You aren't going to the moon. There are resources available along the way. Just begin. Ok?! Now the unpaid actor in this podcast episode is my Extra Big and Loud Kitchen Timer (yes that is actually the name). You can find the link to my favourite timer among all my favourite kitchen things in my online shop!Warning, the audio was not working properly and dips a little too quiet at certain parts when I am walking around packing. Is it ideal? No. But the message is essential so we are going to roll with it. After all this is a one take, come along with me kind of podcast.

Drink Tea with Me: How you get your goal DOESN'T MATTER*
*As long as you aren't hurting yourself, or anyone else in the process. This is an important disclaimer above. I don't need you to become a menace to society or to yourself in the pursuit of your goals but I DO need you to stop worrying if what you are doing (that IS working) is something you should be doing. Let's drop the guilt and shame about what tools and tricks we are using to achieve momentum in life and business. If it works, it works! My goal was to move more and be consistent with working out so I signed up for a triathlon knowing that it would kick my butt into gear. Then I spiralled and felt bad that that is what it takes and that I 'should' not need a race to move. But that thought serves no one AND I am actually already achieving my goal of movement so I mean how could this be a bad thing. Go after what you want my friend in whatever way you can, with any and all tools that help you achieve your goals!

Bond with Me: Why Motherhood is one endless marketing project
Nothing brings out the best of Motherhood like bedtime, amiright?! Oh for the love of all that is good in this world all I can say is whyyyyyyyyyyy. Bedtime is one of the times Motherhood Marketing really really kicks into high gear. What is Motherhood Marketing you ask? Well its the realization that being a parent is one endless marketing project where you are constantly selling yourself, selling an event (like bedtime and why is SO necessary), finding the angles and opinions your (very opinionated) children need in order to get the task at hand done. This is revenge bedtime procrastination at its best, recording a podcast, arranging flowers, starting the dishwasher, all while a thunderstorm rages outside. And let's be honest inside too with the pain that bedtime can bring with children! Alas, hope you feel a little more seen if you are parenting out in the world today.

Talk with me: YOU are doing an AMAZING job and you need to know it
Today's episode is all about YOU. Yes you. And why I KNOW you are absolutely crushing it out there in life and business. You might say 'But, Hollis, I'm not actually...' or 'But you don't even know...'. That's where I am going to stop you and tell you that with 100% certainty I do know that you are doing an amazing job because you are always underselling/undervaluing your efforts and I am here to remind you of those moments just this week that you have been a success, where you have been brave, did something uncomfortable. I know they've happened and you haven't even given them another thought. Until now. I want you to stop and celebrate your progress, I want you to stay true to what you want and the plan and momentum you are creating about building this life of your dreams. Keep your word and your promises to yourself. You are doing great things and I am so proud of you.

Talk with me: Important Summer PSA
We are officially in Summer season and if you know me and my children, ice cream is a CRUCIAL part of all of our summer plans. Save yourselves and keep $20 in your glove box ok? I beg you.

GRWM for bed: Why decision making is the most powerful skill you can build
As a former Indecision Queen (me, its me) I have collectively spent YEARS in painful indecision about everything ranging from what phone case to buy, to what post secondary I should attend, what to wear, eat or watch.... the list is endless. Being able to build the skill of making quick, effective decisions is everything. It is the foundation of trust that you build in yourself and bank as you make small and inconsequential decisions (like which ice cream you want) so that when bigger decisions present themselves you have built trust in YOU! I dive into a few tips I have around how to make effective decisions, why it matters. Decisions are the start of taking action and MOVING in your life and business, so let's get to it. I also share my latest decision around my next big athletic event... listen in to see what I am doing this summer!

Cook with Me: The crucial difference between capacity and ability
I have the tastebuds of octogenarians ok, I LOVE rhubarb. And I am not afraid to admit it. My sister use to call rhubarb, 'weird sour celery' and honestly she's not wrong. But I digress, this episode isn't about rhubarb, though its the supporting actor here (unpaid). What I am talking about today is the difference between capacity and ability. Just because you are ABLE to do something does not mean you have the CAPACITY to do it. And even if you have the capacity/time/space to do something doesn't mean you are able to/have the skills. Just because you can do something doesn't always mean you want to or should and often guilt can creep in because you "can do it". All this to say, that if you have a skill, if you are capable of different things in your life, focus on doing them WHEN YOU CAN and then celebrating your self for it. OK!? Life is about building knowledge and skills, its not about being a slave to that skill and having to do it all the time. Do it when it works.

Hide from Kids with Me: Let's reframe what it means to brag
Nothing says peace and quiet like hiding from your kids on the back deck as you take out the recycling, feel inspired and record a quick podcast episode. Join me on the deck, as I talk about why we need to stop using this common phrase "I don't want to brag but....." (insert something wonderful here) I am done with that phrase and that sentiment. It is absolutely 100% keeping you small and is doing nothing good for you. I mean when you say that you're taking the time to tell someone the news so stop making yourself small before doing so, just BRAG. When we stop ourselves from sharing and/or bragging it comes from the thinking that there is a limited amount of success or goodness in the world and you having some means someone has less and that couldn't be further from the truth. There is infinite good. So PLEASE I am begging you celebrate your damn self.

Unload Groceries with Me: Why my husband and I have regular meetings
Yes I am still here unloading groceries. Costco shops are no joke. I share in this episode about my upcoming meeting with my husband. I always find it so helpful learning the inner workings that work in the lives of others and thought I would share one of ours. We meet usually weekly about all of life's bits and pieces - our businesses, children's extra curricular schedules, our finances... all the things. And its honestly something I look forward to each week. Budgeting is not my favourite yet is essential. I look forward to uninterrupted time to talk without 4 small humans interrupting. On this week's agenda is: what is happening with our kids this summer - who is watching them when, why my outside hoses are not working and when they will be fixed, finances and are we buying a new tent for camping this year. Sometimes I find the most mundane things to be where I learn the most. Hope you do too.

Unload Groceries with Me: Why having a goal is mission critical
Unload not just any groceries with me, but a Costco-sized haul. Yes the kind that takes an hour to put away. Thats why I recorded an episode while doing it. Multi-tasking for the win. While I unload the car, I share my download with you about why having a goal is critical to building momentum and getting where you want to go. I share about my recent half marathon and that I have not worked out since. What I need in my calendar is a date, a goal a target I am working to achieve so that I can set up the structure and systems to hit that goal. Not only is having a goal necessary but also knowing who you can call to support you with said goal. When you speak your goal to someone the stats are clear - you are 70% more likely to actually do what you want to do. A no brainer right? Oh and find out how I really feel about Rib Fest in this episode while we are at it.

Shop with Me: Why Michael's makes me feel like I can do ANYTHING
Am I the only one that gets a full body energetic shift when I walk into a craft store?! A Michael's, Hobby Lobby.... I don't discriminate. I just have this overwhelming feeling that I can literally do anything, craft anything, make anything and its hilarious to me that even things I may have previously never been aware can suddenly become my latest obsession. I'm not going to talk about all the craft supplies I have at home. No, that would be silly. I am going to talk about putting yourself in places that make you feel like you can do anything and then asking yourself more often, what makes me feel alive? How can I feel this more often? And no, I don't think going to Michael's everyday is the answer...sadly.

Watch Baseball with Me: Why it's ESSENTIAL to build a community of support around you
There's nothing like a softball game to get my brain going. And go it did. In this episode I share the importance of building a circle, a community, a board of directors for your life - whatever you want to call it is ESSENTIAL to success in life and business and really everywhere. The beauty of this life is about connection and relationships and learning and what better way to do that than by building diverse relationships in your life. What if your normal and what comes easy to you, was exciting and fascinating to someone else (spoiler alert it is) and the same is true for others. You can't always see the forest for the trees you know, so what I gift it is to be in rooms with people that show you your own magic. If you don't know where to start building your community, start with a few DMs, drop a text to a friend you haven't connected with in awhile. Just start.

Rant with Me: Start where you are with what you have
There is absolutely something you are not doing right now because you are waiting for the perfect time, resources and execution. Listen, as a former perfectionist I get it. I want everything that I put out to the world to be perfect and polished and high quality. And yet if I know anything I know that done is better than perfect and there's a lifetime of projects that people haven't shared with the world because it's not 'perfect'. What a freaking crime that is. In this episode I share why and how I started this very podcast you are listening to, without all the bells and whistles of perfection and just STARTED. I asked myself: How could I make this easier? How could this feel light and fun? How could I get started now? I want you to ask yourself the same questions about what you want to put out in the world then go do the damn thing. And then let me know how it goes!\

Rant with Me: Why I call BS on You Waiting to do What You Really Want
Brace yourselves. I bet you didn't know a hair brush and leave in conditioner could get me so fired up about entrepreneurship but here we are. I never said these episodes made any sense after all. But I do think this will land for you. There is ABSOLUTELY something you are not doing right now that you say you want to do but can't because you don't have right _______________ (tools, time, clothes, strategy.... you fill in the blank) and I think its absolutely a lie. You CAN do it. It's your fear holding you back, not your lack of whatever you think you're lacking. If you want to be lovingly shouted at to get your shit together and do the thing, this is the episode for that.

Get UNready with Me: Why Your Old Self SHOULD Cringe at You Now
Here I am getting unready again for the day and yet another thought strikes me about all the different and past versions of ourselves. So often we are worried about what everyone else thinks, but let me tell you we are also VERY worried about what the past version of us would think! And she isn't even around anymore, yet we are still worried about it. My hot take is that I want you to be doing things your old self would have judged you for, that you would have thought was cringe. Because hello, that means you've grown. Listen in for what I would have judged myself about not that long ago.

Get UNready with Me: Washing Your Face & Your Skincare Foundations
I know this sounds like I am beauty and wellness influencer from the title but I can assure, nothing is further from the truth. You'll have to listen to prove me right on this one. It's less about washing your face and skincare and more about making the things you don't want to do easier and more accessible. It's one of those sneaky analogies for business and life. Get to know me real well today we I share my ineptitudes and BTS of my beauty regime and YET how I used washing my face as my gateway drug for self care.

Make Lunch with Me: Fresh Starts & Reinvention
Get a very detailed story about what I am making for lunch - hello veggies and protein... could I be more predictable. In any case, I reflect on the stories that we all tell ourselves about what is possible for us and how those we know the most can have a hard time seeing us as anything more than what we have already been. Which is why opportunities for reinvention should be sought out so that we can grow and change! You don't have to wait for the opportunity, you can create it for yourself.

Drive with Me: Overcoming Limitations 'A Cottage Cheese Story'
Yes you read that correctly, 'A Cottage Cheese Story'. Words I never thought I would say. And yet here we are. I share my journey about my relationship with cottage cheese and how it reminds me frequently about what is possible for myself and how we can overcome self imposed limitations. How many things in life are we keeping away from ourselves because we are pre-determined that they "are not for us" or "we don't like that" or "it's only for others". We tell ourselves incredibly detailed stories about what is for us and not for us and are missing the really key point of "what do I want?" From that place, the possibilities are truly endless.

Washes Dishes with Me: A Hack for Tapping into Abundance
Wash dishes with me as I share one of my best hacks for tapping into abundance, inspiration and possibility. Those feelings of lack happen to all of us from time to time and one of my most favourite ways to break out of that is to remember that everything you can see and touch in the outside world once started as an idea, an imaginary, unseeable thought. How magical is that? Dive into abundance and this episode and remember what a powerful creator you are and all the possibility and abundance that is available to you!

Drive with Me: Why Your Values Matter
Drive with me! In this episode, I’m talking all about values—why they matter, how they shape our decisions, and how they show up in both life and business.I dive into the importance of defining your own values, especially when it comes to how you invest and spend your money. I also share why understanding your customers’ values—and knowing when you’re aligned or not—is key to building a business with integrity.I tell a story from years ago (let’s call it my hair care journey… or lack thereof) and how a conversation with a friend totally shifted the way I think about values. That moment also shaped how I taught values to my staff back at the farm. This one’s a fun and reflective episode on getting clear about what matters most to you—and owning it fully.

Drive with Me: The Messenger Matters as Much as the Message
Drive with me as I chat about this idea that the messenger DOES matter, you know we don't have to shoot them - in fact please don't - but know that who says something matters. The source for a message shifts depending on who is delivering it, their experience etc and its why building yourself a circle of well rounded, experienced colleagues, friends and family so that you can go to the right people for the right message!

Bake With Me: Catastrophic Thoughts & Responsibility
Make granola with me as I unpack a profound realization: I have a pattern of wishing for minor catastrophes to happen so I don’t have to do the things I don’t want to do or take responsibility for my actions and their outcomes. While embarrassing to acknowledge, I know I’m not alone in this. Sometimes, it feels easier to hope for an external disruption rather than face my own resistance and what I am truly avoiding. In this episode, I share how recognizing this mindset is helping me shift how I approach challenges and be with the discomfort of my feelings instead of wishing them away with external circumstances.

Bake with Me: Sadness, Guilt & Self Care
Make granola with me in this episode as I navigate feeling sad, overwhelmed and then guilty about feeling that way in the first place. As I made granola, I found myself realizing that the process was actually an incredible form of self-care. We often try to boldly label self-care or make it look a certain way—prioritizing aesthetics over how it truly feels. But in reality, self-care is about giving a gift to your future self, regardless of how picture-perfect it looks.
