    Organized Indifference

Organized Indifference, Ritual, & the Discipline of Personal Sovereignty In the first episode of a widely anticipated Season 2, Halicue explains the concept of Organized Indifference as a deliberate, intelligent strategy Black Women of the 92 Percent are using to thrive within systems that have long demanded their unpaid emotional labor, moral leadership, and endless resilience.Against a backdrop of social violence, the ICE murders in Minnesota (Renee Nicole Goode, Keith Porter, Jr.) political exhaustion, and generational expectations of sacrifice, Halicue reflects on the historical role Black women have played in holding together movements, families, and institutions—often at great personal cost. This episode asks a powerful question: What happens when Black women choose self-sovereignty and discernment over depletion?Through personal reflection, historical framing, and ritual language, Halicue reframes Black Women's self-care not as aesthetic wellness, but as discipline, boundary, and tools of resistance. Ancestral Rituals of care—small, consistent, embodied practices—become tools for nervous system regulation, ancestral remembrance, and long-term sustainability.Black Women do not consider this as a withdrawal from the world, just a refusal to be consumed by it.Strategic Episode Insights/Takeaways for Black WomenOrganized indifference is a strategic posture, not apathy—it is the intentional conservation of our energy and refusal to participate in what doesn't serve us.Choosing discernment over reaction is a form of self-protection and leadership.Trading emotional engagement to violence and instability for healing and mindful benefits of our ancestral and community rituals. Ritualized care supports Black Women's nervous system regulation and long-term wellness.Self-care as a resistance praxis. Investing in ourselves strengthens our families, communities, and futures.Black women are allowed to prioritize their own needs without explanation or permission.Sustainability, not trauma spectacle, is the future of Black Women’s leadership.Halicue's Black Girl Ritual & Wellness Mentions/FavesDream Bio-Retinol Body SerumA restorative body treatment used as part of a grounding, end-of-day care ritual.Black Girl Vitamins – Wellness BundleBlack-woman-formulated daily supplements supporting foundational health and nourishment.O’kra WaterA modern hydration option inspired by ancestral practices, integrated into daily wellness routines.Stay Connected with Halicue & the #92PercentersTikTok: @halicueSubstack: @halicueInstagram: @halicueYouTube: @halicueLet's Work Together!
