Hilltop Church

Matthew 28 Jesus outlines his ambition for his Disciples going into ALL of the World and making disciples of ALL nations. This is not a small vision, especially when you consider that Jesus did not leave Israel.This means that as his disciples, we too are meant to have large audacious ambition. But when it is not Holy - weird things happen.

John 15 Jesus says that apart from him we can do nothing. Nothing? The mission, transformation into Christ likeness, and even being in relationship with God are all dependent on our communion and openness to the work of the person of the Holy Spirit in our lives. He is the third person of the Trinity, equal and co-equal with God. It is common for a bad experience, or bad teaching to taint our view of The Holy Spirit - but we invite you to look beyond a caricature of pentecostal or charismatic experience and truly seek God.

We are surrounded by a culture that is freaking out. Sometimes, this can work it's way into the church. This stands in opposition to the posture of Jesus disciples who are called to embody peace and reject fear, exhaustion, and burnout, choosing instead to embrace a posture of faith that allows us to wholeheartedly engage in God's mission with unwavering passion.

Discipleship is more than a simple mentorship, it is a whole life response to Jesus invitation to be with him, become like him, and do the stuff.

Culture is more than a buzzword - culture is how you show up to outworking vision.
