His Ways Are Higher

In part 2 of my conversation with Jani, she pours out wisdom she has gained throughout her life experiences: building relationships, walking through grief, raising kids, and doing it all while walking and growing with the Lord. This is a great example of the kinds of amazing conversations I’ve been blessed to have with her for many many years, and I’m so glad to be able to share a little bit of her with you!

Join me, in part one of this two part conversation, as I visit with one of my very favorite people, Jani Wood. Jani looks back on her experience growing up, the changes her family went through, and how her parents impacted and shaped her and how she now navigates life with her husband and two kids.

I got to visit with Natalia Dell about her experiences growing up in Ecuador as a young girl, spending much of her childhood watching her mom’s journey with poor health, then going through her own debilitating health struggles as a teen and young adult. She shared how the Lord has been growing and strengthening her in the midst of these struggles. I was so encouraged by many things she shared and am wanting to implement them into my own mindset!

I so enjoyed getting to sit down and visit with Kelsey. We talked about her experience growing up in California, moving to Africa with her family as missionaries, trusting the Lord through grief in two very different experiences, and finding herself unexpectedly living and thriving in a small, rural, Colorado town. I hope you are encouraged by this episode!

I had so much fun getting to talk with Misty and hearing how she waited on the Lord to send her the right husband. She got married “later in life” according to society’s standards, but she knows looking back that God’s timing was perfect all along.

In this first episode of the “His Ways Are Higher” podcast, I had the privilege of sitting down with Steve and Mary Erichsen. We talked about their journey from growing up on the west coast, pursuing careers in IT, then (plot twist) packing up everything and moving to Texas, where they are now retired and raising Wagyu cattle. I want to thank Steve and Mary for being so supportive of this new venture of mine and for being willing to be my first guests!
