ثلاث دروس للتعلم من الهجرة Excerpts from this khutbah by Dr. Ibrahim Dremali: In the life of the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wasallam) we find the most beautiful and significant lessons. And in the Hijrah were great lessons and events for the Muslim Ummah - it united us all together. Here are three lessons from the Hijra we can benefit from today: 1. Do not compromise in the matter of your Deen (religion), because the matter of your Deen is your life. Allah SWT blessed us to be Muslims, blessed us to say La ilaha illa Allah Mohammedur Rasoolullah. Let's keep it my dear brothers and sisters, and work for it more and more In shaa Allah. 2. The most important thing is friendship. Allah Azza wa jal said, الْأَخِلَّاءُ يَوْمَئِذٍ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ إِلَّا الْمُتَّقِينَ (Surat Az-Zuhkruf 43:67) All kinds of friendship - all kinds of friendship on that day will become enemies - except the pious. May Allah make us among the pious. The Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wasallam) chose the best from Makkah Mukarramah, Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (radiy Allahu anhu). And in this Masjid and every Masjid, this is the best friendship my dear brothers and my dear sisters. Because we love each other for the sake of Allah SWT, no one else. We care about each other, we love each other, inside the Masjid - by the love of Allah SWT. 3. When you seek help, seek help from Allah SWT. If you seek help, seek help from Allah SWT! If you seek protection, seek protection from Allah SWT. Only Allah Azza wa Jal, He will protect you and provide for you. Because Allah is the Provider. ALLAH is the Provider, so don't worry about tomorrow. The good heart, which is white and clear and beautiful. There is no fitnah that will affect that heart. But the other heart -- instead of enjoining what is right they are enjoining what is evil and forbidding what is right.  And we see that sometimes my dear brothers and sisters. And the most dangerous disease to the heart is qaswatul qalb. The hard heart. The harsh heart. If a person has this kind of heart that means there is no mercy, no mercy for each other and there is no fear of Allah SWT. May Allah protect us from this. “Tribulation will be presented to the hearts of people like a reed mat woven stick by stick and any heart afflicted by them will have a black mark put into it, but any heart that rejects them will have a white mark put into it. Thus there will be two kinds of hearts: one is pure like a white gemstone and it will not be harmed by any tribulation as long as the heavens and earth endure, and the other is black and dusty like a worn-out vessel, neither recognizing good nor rejecting evil, but rather immersed in its desires.” Sahih Muslim تُعْرَضُ الْفِتَنُ عَلَى الْقُلُوبِ كَالْحَصِيرِ عُودًا عُودًا فَأَيُّ قَلْبٍ أُشْرِبَهَا نُكِتَ فِيهِ نُكْتَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ وَأَيُّ قَلْبٍ أَنْكَرَهَا نُكِتَ فِيهِ نُكْتَةٌ بَيْضَاءُ حَتَّى تَصِيرَ عَلَى قَلْبَيْنِ عَلَى أَبْيَضَ مِثْلِ الصَّفَا فَلَا تَضُرُّهُ فِتْنَةٌ مَا دَامَتْ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ وَالْآخَرُ أَسْوَدُ مُرْبَادًّا كَالْكُوزِ مُجَخِّيًا لَا يَعْرِفُ مَعْرُوفًا وَلَا يُنْكِرُ مُنْكَرًا إِلَّا مَا أُشْرِبَ مِنْ هَوَاهُ صحيح مسلم

We go through calamity after calamity but Allah will fix it sooner or later - but we have to fix our relationship with Allah SWT first. 2. Muslims should never give up! 3.
