Vignette of wildflowers and song
This thread of Imagine + Flow—now nestled within this larger Storyteller Lovesong newsletter, where I’ll bring together a few podcasts and spoken offerings—is something I quite suddenly felt I was supposed to do, for reasons that I could probably try to explain, but don’t really feel compelled to—at least not with any real thoroughness. :) In complete-enough essence: I sometimes have created little spoken vignettes, meditative, soft, not written out but just rising from mostly-in-the-moment imagination, for a tiny number of people I love. And in recent weeks, with a swift series of this-and-that thoughts and intuitive flashes, I knew, a bit out of nowhere, I was supposed to share more of them, with others. Always still created with love, with a singular soul or perhaps sometimes soul texture in my mind and heart as I speak. To meet whoever they meet however they’re meant to, without much expectation around it. To just create them and share them, with love. This first offering is one I made for someone in the past, and today I rerecorded it here. In this case, the words weren’t coming to me for the first time as I spoke them, with a more tumbling, organic, slow cadence of imagination and voice I think I prefer. But I like marking this beginning by touching back into the past; and I hope you feel deep care threaded through this nonetheless. I made this originally for someone who is (probably) not you, but I gave it new life for you. I hope you feel some softness, some fullness, within it that you can claim for your own. And if you like this sort of thing, please subscribe for more. P.S. I’m a big fan of quiet stillness and think this sort of thing would be nicer while sitting still or lying down, with eyes closed. But of course, listen however you like. :) This is a public episode. If you would like to discuss this with other subscribers or get access to bonus episodes, visit storytellerlovesong.substack.com
