THE VOICE
Islam is the religion of knowledge. The first ayah of the Qur'an to be revealed enjoined reading which is the key to knowledge. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Read! In the Name of your Lord Who has created (all that exists). He created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous. Who has taught (the writing) by pen? He has taught man that which he knew not” [al-‘Alaq 96:1-5]

THE QURAN and SUNNAH
Traditions attributed to the Holy Prophet (SAW) in this regard, some of which are quoted below: It is an obligation for every Muslim to seek knowledge.Seek knowledge even if it be in China.Seek knowledge from cradle to grove.Scholars are the heirs of the prophets. The ink of the learned will be weighed with the blood of the martyrs on the Resurrection Day; and then, the ink of the learned would be preferred to the blood of the martyrs.Anyone who pursues a course in search of knowledge, God will ease his way to paradise. In this Quran, We present various parables for people, yet man is the most argumentative being

1. Astaghfirullah literally translates to "I seek forgiveness in Allah". ... That is to say that Allah is the greater or that goodness comes from Allah. 2. Jazakallah (Arabic: جَزَاكَ ٱللَّٰهُ, jazāka -llāh) or Jazāk Allāhu Khayran (جَزَاكَ ٱللَّٰهُ خَيْرًا, jazāka -llāhu khayran) is a term used as an Islamic expression of gratitude meaning "May God reward you [with] goodness." 3. Jazakallah (khair) means May Allah reward you (with good). There are many responses to this: wa iyyakum (and you too); wa anta fa jazakallah khair (and you too, May Allah reward you with good); and Barakallah feek (May Allah bless you). 4. Allahu Akbar a phrase meaning ‘allah is most great ' 5. Mashallah (Arabic: مَا شَاءَ ٱللَّٰهُ, mā shāʾ -llāhu), also spelled mashaAllah or ma sha Allah, is an Arabic phrase that means "what God ( allah) has willed" and is used to express appreciation, joy, praise, or thankfulness for an event or person that was just mentioned.

Begin Every Task with the name of Allah (SWT) Before the commencement of any task, the very first word to be uttered by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was “Bismillah”. By beginning a task or any form of action with the pronunciation of Allah’s (SWT) name with deep humility and utter sincerity, the person enjoys Allah's (SWT) complete support in that designated task. So, make it a habit to say “Bismillah” before doing absolutely anything; make a mental note every time!

The Qur'an, Hadith, and Hadith Qudsi The teachings of Islam are taken mainly Allah’s speech and the Prophet’s speech. Allah's speech to humankind comes in two forms: the Qur'an and the Hadith Qudsi and the Prophet's speech is the Prophetic Hadith. For Muslims, it is very important to know the definitions of these sacred sources as well as the differences among them in order not to be confused by any of them. The Qur'an The Qur'an can be defined as follows. • The speech of Allah sent down upon His last Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), through the angel Gabriel, in its precise meaning and wording, passed down to us by numerous persons through generations (tawatur), both verbally and in writing. • It is inimitable and unique, preserved by Allah from any corruption. The Word Qur'an The Arabic word Qur'an is derived from the verb qara'a, which has various meanings such as read or recite. Qur'an is a verbal noun and hence means the "reading" or "recitation". As used in the Qur'an itself, the word refers to the revelation from Allah in the broad sense and is not always restricted to the written form in the shape of a book, as we have it before us today. However, it means revelation to Muhammad only, while revelation to other prophets (peace and blessings be upon them all) has been referred to by different names like: Tawrat, Injil, Kitab

The higher you are in spiritual attainment, the more is your desire and your opportunity to serve and worship your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of all the worlds: and the greater is your pride in that service and that worship. At this stage a Sajda or prostration is indicated, as a sign of our humble acceptance of the privilege of serving and worshipping Allah,-a fitting close to Sura in which we are led, through a contemplation of the stories of the Messengers of Allah, to the meaning of revelation and its relation to our moral and spiritual progress.

What Happens If People Do Not Live by The Qur'anic Understanding of Mercy? The only way that ensures a peaceful and happy life for a community is the exercise of mercy as defined by the Qur'an. Failing to incorporate this model in daily life makes unrest, disorder and injustice take root in society. That is simply because, where mercy is absent, cruelty must exist. In a society harassed by cruelty, its members suffer both physical and spiritual harm. Indeed, the news bulletins we listen to every day make this point most obvious; they are full of the cruelty inflicted on people; people who starve, mothers who beg on the streets to feed their children, those who are oppressed, attacked or beaten, those who live in abject poverty in tents, people who commit suicide or fight for a loaf of bread… The main reason for all this misery is the cruelty and mercilessness brought about by disbelief.

Social Worth — Social Esteem The problem for us is complicated because this world attracts us to influence us and get us to spend everything we made in the field before we get back home. As Muslims we can't allow that to continue. Our men have to bring that money home to momma. That is your religious duty and your need inside your life. We in Islam have to see business as an inherent need. By inherent we mean that it is part of our own nature and part of our own life. Our life needs that just like it needs to drink, to eat, to exercise, etc. For a sense of social worth and social esteem in your family and in the society, for a sense of personal achievement in your family or society, you need business accomplishment. You won't have that sense of fulfillment or personal worth or achievement unless you grow in business. We have to see business as an aspect of life. And that is the way it is for the economist and the business world. They know that, but they have made it the life. And that is why we are so oppressed. They have made making money and getting profit the life. It should never be the life. Al-Islam is always the life.

Reward Your Host “Abu Athhim bin Tahan (radi Allahu anhu) once invited the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) and his illustrious Companions (radi Allahu anhum) to a meal. When the meal was over, the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: ‘Reward your brother.’ The Companions asked: ‘How can we reward him, O Prophet of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam)?’ The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: ‘When a man pays a visit to his brother and eats and drinks there, he can reward his brother by praying for Allah’s favour and blessings upon his brother.’” [Abu Dawud] When you eat at somebody’s house, say a prayer at the end of the meal invoking Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) to bless the host with extensive means, grace, favour, forgiveness and mercy

Quran AND Sunnah
What is this jinn? What is this jinn? It is an aspect of human nature, an aspect of human nature. If that aspect of human nature deteriorates, or if it is misguided it can degenerate into a devil, into a devil or into Shaitan, the Satan. Did Allah create Satan? No! Did Allah create the devil? No! Allah created the jinn. And if we allow our jinn to deteriorate or degenerate and become devil and satan, that's our creation and not Allah's creation. Who creates the devil? Who creates the jinn? It is the human being that ignores -Allah's guidance and goes off and starts grafting devils.

(13:15. And unto Allah falls in prostration whoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and so do their shadows in the mornings and in the afternoons.) Everything prostrates unto Allah Allah affirms His might and power, for He has full control over everything, and everything is subservient to Him. Therefore, everything, including the believers, prostrate to Allah willingly, while the disbelievers do so unwillingly, (and so do their shadows in the mornings), in the beginning of the days,(and in the afternoons.) towards the end of the days. Allah said in another Ayah (Have they not observed things that Allah has created: (how) their shadows incline.)

Recite to them the truth of the story of the two sons of Adam. Behold! they each presented a sacrifice (to Allah): it was accepted from one but not from the other. Said the latter: "Be sure I will slay thee." "Surely" said the former "Allah doth accept of the sacrifice of those who are righteous The two sons of Adam were Habil (in the English Bible, Abel) and Qabil (in English, Cain). Cain was the elder, and Abel the younger,-the righteous and innocent one. Presuming on the right of the elder, Cain was puffed up with arrogance and jealousy, which led him to commit the crime of murder. Among the Christians, Cain was the type of the Jew as against Abel the Christian. The Jew tried to kill Jesus and exterminate the Christian. In the same way, as against Muhammad, the younger brother of the Semitic family, Cain was the type of the Old Testament and New Testament people, who tried to resist and kill Muhammad and put down his people.

Reviving the Quran and Sunnah
Cleaning out the closet feels great. You go through all of your stuff, throw away whatever you don’t want, and give away things you don’t need. In the end, you know you are left with more space, a clean area, and peace of mind. Now that Ramadan is around the corner, this is a great time to take account of ourselves and go through a very similar process with our soul. What negative feelings or thoughts hide in the shadows of our hearts? Are we even aware of how this “stuff” spreads toxicity throughout our soul, which then seeps into our relationships? When we rid ourselves of emotional “baggage” we free up space in our hearts to soak in all the positive outcomes of Ramadan.“O you who have believed, fear Allah. And let every soul look to what it has put forth for tomorrow – and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do.” (Surah Al Hashr, 59:18)

Adhering to the Straight Path means adhering to the Qur’aan and the Sunnah in words and deeds is the greatest means of protection against Shaytan. Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal recorded that Abdullah bin Mas’ood said, “The Messenger of Allah drew a line with his hand (in the sand) and said, ‘This is Allah’s Path, leading straight.’ He then drew lines to the right and left of that line and said, ‘These are the other paths, on each path there is a Shaytan who calls to it.’ He then recited, ‘And verily, this is My straight path, so follow it, and follow not (other) paths, for they will separate you away from His path.’”[Soorah al-An’am(6): 153]

Satan, sin, and repentance In order to communicate the truth of Divine Unity, Allah has sent messengers or prophets to human beings, whose weakness of nature makes them ever prone to forget or even willfully to reject Divine Unity under the promptings of Satan. According to the Qurʾānic teaching, the being who became Satan (Shayṭān or Iblīs) had previously occupied a high station but fell from divine grace by his act of disobedience in refusing to honour Adam when he was ordered to do so. Since then his work has been to beguile human beings into error and sin. Satan is, therefore, the contemporary of humanity, and Satan’s own act of disobedience is construed by the Qurʾān as the sin of pride. Satan’s machinations will cease only on the Last Day.

Reviving the Quran and Sunnah
Reviving the Quran and Sunnah As Muslims, we must make it a point to imprint the Sunnah in our hearts and souls in order for its teachings to be translated in our everyday actions. Our Islamic identity is further preserved and strengthened through the application of Sunnah in our daily practices, behaviors, morals, manners, principles and habits. The importance of Sunnah is highlighted several times in the Holy Quran, for example: “Verily in the Messenger of Allah you have a good example for him whose hope is in Allah and the last Day, and remembers Allah much.” (33:21)

THE VOICE
Man doesn’t have to be perfect to please Allah So He’s not in either extreme and He’s there to bring you to the “Golden mead.” A happy medium as we say as an expression, Allah wants you to come to that happy medium. I think that is a good expression because we’re talking about being pleased and pleasing our Allah. Allah wants you to come to that happy medium where you’re not in the far extreme that you think the lie you told fearing that you’re going to be killed or it is going to put you in hell. And you’re striving to not tell any lie every and you think that is going to get you into heaven, that is the minimum you need to do thinking, “I can’t get into heaven if I tell a lie.” Allah is between the two extremes and He hopes to bring you to see that to please Him you don’t have to be perfect He didn’t create you to be perfect, He made angels to be perfect, He made human beings to be fated to trial and error until they get guidance and then to follow guidance as much as they can. Isn’t that what Allah swt says? He says, “Do as much as you can of it.” This is a loving Allah, this is not a Allah Who has no love for you He is a ALLAH Who has great love for all human being and all of the things He created. So He loves you and if you tell a little lie you put yourself in hell Allah is not going to put you in hell.

Sunnah is Medicine The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Whoever obeys me, obeys Allah, and whoever disobeys me, disobeys Allah.” [Bukhari] Sunnah is like medicine. When we visit the doctor for treatment, they usually write a prescription for the medicines we need. We take these prescriptions to pharmacists who then sell the medicines to us.

Gaining Knowledge to Revive Islam Hasan Al-Basri narrated that Allah’s Messenger (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “He whom death overtakes while he is engaged in acquiring knowledge with a view to reviving Islam with the help of it, there will be (only) one degree between him and the Prophet in Paradise.” [Tirmidhi and Darimi] When Islam first came, society was so corrupt that the teachings of Islam appeared strange. The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) foretold that there would once again come a time when people would have gone so astray that the teachings of Islam would appear strange to them.

The only limit set to the acquisition of knowledge in Islam is that Muslims should seek useful knowledge. Any knowledge helping man in performing his God assigned role in this world is useful, other than that is considered useless knowledge.
