Here Today, Gone Tomorrow & the Power of Sisterhood

In this powerful episode of Independent Woman with Wine, I sit down with the incredible Lady V. The visionary behind the Warrior Women Anthology, the very book I'm honored to be part of. Lady V shares the unexpected journey of bringing this project to life, including how she was first given the assignment to create the anthology, something she didn't initially want to do, but ultimately embraced as a powerful challenge. We dive into one of the most emotional parts of her journey, the heartbreaking loss of her father during the process. She opens up about how that experience changed her perspective on life, reminding us that we are here today and gone tomorrow. She shares the pain of wanting to pick up the phone and hear his voice again,  and the strength she had to find within herself to keep going, not only for her family but for the 12 women counting on her. We also talk about the real challenges behind a collaborative project, managing 12 strong, unique women, all with different personalities, schedules, and time zones. It wasn't easy, but it was deeply meaningful. Most importantly, we explore the heart behind the book, creating a sisterhood. A space where women support, uplift, and stand by each other. Lady V shares her hope that every woman who reads this book will find the strength to keep going, no matter what she's facing. This episode is about resilience, leadership, sisterhood, and the power of showing up, even when life gets hard. Grab your wine and join us for a real, raw, and inspiring conversation. 🍷

    Loving the Kids, Losing Myself

In this episode of Daycare Diaries, I read an anonymous letter from a daycare teacher who didn't choose the profession, it found her. She fell in love with the children and their small victories, but behind the smiles were unpaid hours, overwhelming pressure, lack of support, and financial struggle. Passion is powerful… but is it enough?

  3. 37

    Big Hearts, Empty Pockets

In this episode, I read an anonymous letter from a daycare teacher who has spent her entire life caring for children, first as the oldest in her family, and now in the classroom. She shares what many caregivers quietly live with every day: loving kids deeply while struggling financially, sacrificing travel, fun, and personal dreams just to survive. While society often assumes daycare teachers "just play with kids all day," the reality is long hours, emotional labor, and not nearly enough pay. This letter is raw, honest, and powerful. A reminder that behind every classroom is a human being doing their best with very little. 💛 This is for the teachers. 💛 This is for the parents. 💛 This is for anyone who's ever felt unseen. Thank you to this brave soul for trusting me with your story.

When the Truth Finally Comes Out: A Story of Loss, Love & Lyrics

In this powerful and honest episode, I sit down with a very talented rapper who opens up about his life journey, his childhood, and the emotional layers that shaped who he is today. Growing up after his parents' separation, he always felt that something wasn't quite right, a lot of things looking "good" on the outside, but deep confusion underneath it all. And then a big revelation that changed how he saw his life growing up. We share some laughs reminiscing about the old-school days of downloading music on LimeWire (and accidentally crashing computers 😅), and how those early moments fueled his love for music. He talks about being a good kid at heart, feeling protective of the younger generation in his family, and wanting them to avoid the struggles he had to navigate on his own. We dive into his music, including one of his songs, "Struggle," and how he realizes now that he was manifesting his future through his lyrics.  This conversation also leads to a deeply emotional moment when I ask him a question that changes the direction of the conversation — one that brings reflection, vulnerability, and truth. Beyond his story, he is an incredibly talented artist with amazing work to show, a busy schedule, and exciting projects lined up as he heads into 2026. Grab your favorite drink and join us for a raw, inspiring conversation about growth, resilience, music, and the power of self-discovery.

    Friends, Memories & Christmas Magic

This Christmas episode feels extra special. Over a year ago, Kasey was my very first guest when I started Independent Woman with Wine, and bringing her back for a holiday catch-up just felt right. In this cozy, unfiltered conversation, we talk like two friends picking up right where we left off, no wine this time, just a simple chat about real life, the things she's most proud of (including finally having an office of her own), kids, Minecraft, Roblox, and how confusing TikTok Shop can be. We also laugh about childhood memories, Christmas traditions, Brazilian holiday customs (like waiting until midnight to eat), and how our perspective on our parents changes as we get older. To wrap it up, we each choose a word for 2025. It's warm, honest, funny, and exactly what a Christmas conversation between friends should be.

From Silence to Strength: Marika's Healing Journey

Marika was only 17 years old when she broke her silence and spoke out about the abuse she experienced within her own family. One of the most striking passages in her chapter describes the moment she realized the world was no longer protecting her  -- she was welcomed not with love, but with a six-pack of beer and a pack of cigarettes. That day, she understood she wasn't being given tools to grow but she was being handed tools to self-destruct. From the loss of her twin brother before she took her first breath, to the day she finally spoke her truth, to the moment motherhood changed her forever — Marika carries a message for anyone who has ever felt unheard, caged, or invisible. She reminds us that healing is messy, but absolutely possible — and that our stories, even a hundred years from now, may serve as survival guides for others. Today, Marika uses her voice, her writing, and her podcast to help others step into their worth, rise from trauma, and begin their own healing journey.

Compassion, Self-Kindness & Walking the Walk – Part 2 with Cristiane, Life Coach

In this second part of my inspiring conversation with Life Coach Cristiane, we dive deep into the power of compassion, both for others and for ourselves.  Cristiane opens up about how her own difficult experiences taught her to meet others with empathy and grace, and how she learned to speak kindly to herself in those everyday moments, like when you forget something or make a mistake. She reminds us that instead of being our harshest critic, we can choose to be our best friend, our inner cheerleader, and our biggest supporter. We also explore what it really means to "walk the walk" as a coach, how she prioritizes her well-being through three key practices: getting good sleep, keeping a routine, and nurturing her plants and hobbies.  Cristiane also shares her perspective on the cultural differences between Brazilians and Americans, what she does on a tough day, and the heartfelt message she would give her 20-year-old self if she could go back in time. It's an honest, warm, and empowering conversation that reminds us all that compassion begins within.

From Therapy to coaching, and The power of Positive Psychology with Cristiane Correa

In the first part of my conversation with Cristiane, a Life Coach, she opens up about her inspiring journey. Cristiane moved to the U.S. at just 16 years old, and her passion for understanding human behavior began early. After her parents' divorce when she was only three, she started therapy, a healing process that not only helped her overcome childhood trauma but also planted the seed for her career. Remarkably, the same therapist who guided her as a child still supports her today.   During college, a class on positive psychology confirmed her calling to help people, and inspiration from The Inner Game and her mentors taught her that to be a good Life Coach, you must "walk the talk." Cristiane also reflects on how perceptions of therapy have shifted, especially since COVID, when more people began to recognize the value of having someone truly listen. She explains the differences between therapy and life coaching, shares experiences with skeptical clients, and discusses how resistance often plays a role in personal growth.

A Short and sweet episode full of wisdom and heart with Coach B

✨ In part two of my conversation with Coach B, we dive into the power of giving yourself permission to slow down — even if that means not getting out of bed. She shares her wisdom on how our emotions show up in the world and why sometimes it's better to stay home when you're mad. We also had the sweetest surprise guest: her granddaughter, who absolutely stole the spotlight and our hearts by refusing to leave the camera. 💕   I also reflected on Gone With the Wind, where Scarlett O'Hara's resilience shines through — from vowing never to be hungry again to her iconic reminder that "tomorrow is another day." 🌹   This episode is a mix of honesty, laughter, and life lessons you don't want to miss.

Life, Loss & Laughing Through Menopause with Coach B

In this first part of my conversation with the inspiring Coach B, we laugh, we reflect, and we dive into some deeply personal chapters of her journey. From facing homelessness to becoming a stay-at-home mom for three years, to now balancing life coaching, writing an affirmations book, and being a grandmother. Coach B is learning to put herself first, say "no" when needed, and embrace her role as "mama" over "friend" to her kids. She opens up about the emotional toll of healing, the waves of depression that sometimes make it hard to get out of bed, and the wise advice she still treasures from her own mother. We talk about loss, remembering her sister who spread daily love with "Good morning, beautiful" texts, and how birthdays are her true "New Year." We also laugh our way through the confusing, emotional rollercoaster that is menopause, share our take on motherhood, and agree that while the zoo is wonderful, we're perfectly fine admiring animals from afar. 🦁 This episode is heartfelt, funny, and a reminder that even helping one person can make all the difference.

Trusting your inner voice part 2 with the intuition Queen.

In the second part of our powerful conversation with Sarah, we dive deeper into her remarkable and courageous journey. Sarah shares how her intuitive gifts were never a surprise to those closest to her — including her husband, friends, and even a former roommate who once helped a spirit cross over after Sarah sensed its presence in their shared apartment. She opens up about a time of separation in her marriage, her experiences living with a roommate, and how her intuition continued to show up in everyday life. Sarah also reflects on the heavy sacrifices she's made for her gift — including the emotional toll of being able to see and hear things others cannot, which has made attending places like concerts or sports events impossible for her now.In one of the most vulnerable parts of our interview, Sarah reveals the painful truths of her past: surviving violence at the hands of her father, being sold into the sex trade, enduring torture, and struggling with self-harm. She bears the physical and emotional scars but stands as a living example of resilience and transformation. Today, Sarah uses her voice and intuition to guide and coach women — empowering them to trust their inner knowing, own their choices, and create the lives they truly desire. Her story is a testament to the power of listening to your intuition, no matter how loud the world gets.
