    Guide to Spain’s Short‑Term And Long‑Term Rentals In 2026

Send us Fan MailMany property owners along the Costa Blanca are asking the same question in 2026:Is holiday rental still worth it?Over the past few years, Spain — and especially the Comunidad Valenciana — has introduced significant changes to the regulation of short-term and tourist rentals. The rules are clearer than before, but also stricter. And for many owners, the situation feels more complex than it used to be.In this episode, we break down what actually counts as a holiday rental in the Valencia region, including the important 10-day threshold that now defines tourist use. We also explain the key requirements for legal holiday rentals — from tourism registration and municipal compatibility to platform compliance and national digital oversight.Beyond the legal framework, we take a balanced look at:• The advantages of holiday rentals in high-demand coastal areas • The increasing administrative and regulatory responsibilities • The risks of non-compliance • And why more owners are reconsidering long-term rental as a stable alternativeIf you own property in Spain — or are considering renting it out — this episode will help you understand your options clearly and realistically. As always, the goal is not to create headlines, but to provide structured, practical insight so you can make informed decisions. If you’d like future episodes covering seasonal contracts or long-term rental strategies in more detail, feel free to contact us.  The Inmo Investments Real Estate Podcast is produced by Inmo Investments Real Estate S.L., based in La Zenia, Orihuela Costa, Costa Blanca. We provide professional guidance on buying, selling, and investing in property in Spain. For further information visit: www.inmoinvestments.comConnect with us on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook for regular market updates and property insights.

Spain 2026 Property Market Forecast - will prices continue to grow?

Send us Fan MailMany buyers are currently waiting for a market correction, hoping it might create better opportunities along the Spanish coast. In this episode, Alex from Inmo Investments Real Estate Spain takes a closer look at whether that expectation is realistic — and what the 2026 outlook actually means for the Costa Blanca South. We begin with the broader picture across Spain. Employment remains stable, household formation continues, and international migration continues to drive housing demand. At the same time, new construction is not keeping pace — particularly in established coastal areas where demand is strongest. This structural imbalance helps explain why prices in prime locations remain firm, even when headlines suggest uncertainty. From there, the focus shifts to the Costa Blanca. The market here is not uniform. Well-located, move-in-ready properties near the coast and key amenities continue to attract serious international buyers and remain liquid. In contrast, inland properties, secondary stock, or homes requiring renovation are seeing more selective demand. Pricing discipline and proper positioning have become essential. The episode also addresses holiday rental regulation — a topic many investors are watching closely. While short-term letting remains possible, tighter registration rules and increased enforcement mean due diligence is more important than ever. Licensing, community statutes, and municipal planning regulations must be verified before purchase. Legal readiness has become a decisive factor, particularly when selling. For buyers in 2026, the guidance is clear: prioritise layout, long-term usability, and financial preparation. When the right property becomes available, hesitation can be costly. For sellers, realistic pricing, full documentation, and professional presentation are what convert demand into results. The Costa Blanca South continues to attract Northern European buyers seeking stability, climate, and lifestyle. The opportunity is there — but success depends on understanding where the market is genuinely strong and where expectations need to be adjusted. Costa Blanca Property Market 2025 throwback

Send us Fan MailHow stable is the Costa Blanca property market in times of wider uncertainty? In this episode, we take a measured look at our 2025 results from Orihuela Costa and the southern Costa Blanca, and explain what the numbers actually tell us.We review where prices remained firm, which types of properties sold efficiently, and why a broad international buyer base continues to support activity in the area. From apartments and townhouses to detached villas with private pools, clear differences are emerging between properties that attract steady interest and those that remain on the market longer than expected.Starting with the overall figures, the average sale price in 2025 was just under €214,000, with an average negotiated adjustment of around 5 percent. Several well-positioned properties achieved their asking price. These results reflect consistent demand from buyers across 21 different countries. While interest from the United Kingdom remains significant, it is balanced by purchasers from Germany, Ireland, France, Scandinavia, and parts of Eastern Europe. The market here is genuinely international. We also discuss how buyers are making decisions today. The initial impression is increasingly digital. Clear photography, accurate floor plans, transparent pricing and complete documentation have become essential. For sellers, realistic pricing combined with professional presentation remains the decisive factor. For buyers, understanding local price levels and being prepared to act when a suitable property appears is equally important. In terms of timing, the average sales period was approximately 119 days. However, well-prepared properties in strong locations sold considerably faster. Preparation makes a measurable difference: organised documentation, well-presented homes, and clear communication reduce friction for both sides of the transaction. Finally, we look ahead to 2026 with a balanced outlook. International demand remains stable, price development appears steady rather than speculative, and the market continues to reward preparation over opportunistic timing. If you would like practical guidance on pricing, positioning, or negotiating in the Costa Blanca market, this episode provides a clear and realistic overview The Inmo Investments Real Estate Podcast is produced by Inmo Investments Real Estate S.L., based in La Zenia, Orihuela Costa, Costa Blanca. We provide professional guidance on buying, selling, and investing in property in Spain. For further information visit: www.inmoinvestments.comConnect with us on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook for regular market updates and property insights.
