Episode 43- Founder of Jesus Won Apparel, Matt Palmer
This week on Just God Pod, I’m joined by Matt Palmer, the founder of Jesus Won Apparel, for a powerful and honest conversation about faith, obedience, and calling. I have been blessed in getting to know Matt personally through multiple conversations on the phone and one thing that has really stood out to me has been his humility. It is evident in his company, Jesus Won, as they continue to give and give and give and give some more for a kingdom impact on organizations across the nation! Matt shares his roots in ministry and how those early experiences shaped his relationship with God and his understanding of purpose. We talk through the unexpected transition from ministry into entrepreneurship, how the idea for Jesus Won Apparel was born, and the steps of faith it took to bring that vision to life. Throughout the episode, Matt opens up about trusting God in uncertainty, staying aligned with the mission, and discerning where God is leading the company next. This episode is all about following God’s direction, even when the path doesn’t look the way you originally planned. Matt shared several Scriptures with us but one he recalled during a difficult season of his life and how God delivered him through it was Jonah 2:7 which says ““When my life was fainting away, I remembered the Lord, and my prayer came to you, into your holy temple.”If you’re navigating faith, purpose, or a God-given vision of your own, this conversation is for you.

Episode 42- ECU Basketball Great, Dave Kasanganay!
On today’s episode of the Just God Pod down with my good friend Dave Kasanganay who shared a powerful, honest, and deeply encouraging conversation about basketball, faith, and purpose. We start by going back to our time at East Carolina University, where our paths first crossed and where Dave was instrumental in helping get FCA up and running on campus. That season wasn’t just about building a ministry—it was about learning what it meant to lead, serve, and fully surrender our gifts to God in real time. Those early days laid a foundation for both of us and continue to shape how we walk out our faith today. From there, Dave takes us through his basketball journey, starting at Ardrey Kell High School in Charlotte, NC, and the doors the game opened for him along the way. He shares how each stage of the journey—from playing to coaching—came with its own challenges, expectations, and lessons, ultimately leading him to where he is now as a coach at Alcorn State University. Throughout the episode, Dave reflects on how basketball was never meant to be his identity, but rather a platform God used to refine his character and strengthen his dependence on Christ. We dive deep into conversations about identity, obedience, and trusting God when the path forward isn’t clear. Dave opens up about how his faith in Christ has shaped who he is on and off the court, reminding us that our value is not found in titles, roles, wins, or losses, but in being rooted in Christ alone. He shared a couple of verses that have helped shape his journey with Christ: “The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.”1 Timothy 1:15 “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”James 1:22 “And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.””Matthew 8:20We hope you have a merry Christmas, God bless!

Episode 41- Vancouver Canadian’s Legend, Sean Keys!
The Just God Pod is baaaaack! Apologies for that 2 month long hiatus, but I am extremely excited the Lord has brought me back to the microphone. Thank you to those who encouraged me and spoke life over me during that time so that I would work my way back. Episode 41 is one I’ve been looking forward to sharing. I sat down with my friend and teammate Sean Keys, someone who consistently leads with humility and purpose in everything he does. Sean is incredibly gifted, but what stands out most about him is his character and the quiet discipline behind the scenes. In this episode, we dive deep into Sean’s faith journey—how it’s grown, been tested, and ultimately shaped the way he lives and leads. One of the most powerful parts of our conversation was hearing about his decision to read the entire Bible in a little over a month, what that experience was like, and how it transformed his perspective, habits, and daily walk.We also talk about the importance of friends, teammates, and mentors along the way—the people who challenge you, encourage you, and help keep you grounded when life gets busy or difficult. Sean shares openly about the relationships that have influenced him and the role community has played in his growth, both on and off the field. This episode isn’t about chasing recognition or highlights—it’s about faith, discipline, and becoming the person you’re called to be when no one is watching. I’m grateful for Sean’s honesty, humility, and willingness to share his story. I truly believe this conversation will encourage anyone looking to grow in their faith or simply live with more intention.Sean’s verse of the week was a personal favorite, Romans 5:3-5 which Paul writes, ““Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”Episode 41 is out now. I hope it resonates with you as much as it did with me.

Episode 40- NY Times Best Selling Author: Jon Gordon
This week on the Just God Pod, we’re joined by someone whose work has impacted millions—from locker rooms and boardrooms to everyday people trying to live with intention and faith.Jon Gordon, the New York Times bestselling author of The Energy Bus, The Power of Positive Leadership, The Garden, and more, sits down with us for a powerful, raw, and faith-filled conversation about life, leadership, and living with purpose. This episode is an invitation to step back and ask the deeper questions: Why am I here? What truly matters? And what does it mean to live a life that aligns with God’s purpose? We explore the tension between chasing success and surrendering to significance—the kind that only comes from walking closely with God.In a world that tells us to hustle harder and prove our worth, this conversation is a call to return to the source. To slow down, tune in, and trust that you were created on purpose, for a purpose. Not by accident. Not by chance. But by a God who knows you, sees you, and still has more in store for you. Jon’s verse of the week is one that we all need to memorize and constantly remind ourselves of daily, it is Romans 8:5-6 that says “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.”Whether you’re in a season of clarity or confusion, this episode reminds us that purpose isn’t something we have to figure out on our own—it’s something revealed when we quiet the noise and lean into the presence of God. When everything else fades, what remains is Him. Just God.

Episode 39- Laura Beth Tyndall
In today’s episode of the Just God Pod, I was fortunate and blessed to bring on Laura Beth Tyndall. This was a conversation I was looking forward to having for a long time! Her verse of the week was a great spark to start conversation, it comes from Colossians 1:16-18, “For by Him all things were created… and in Him all things hold together… that in everything He might be preeminent.”Laura Beth lives her life with this truth at the center — that Jesus is first. In her marriage to Webb (my mentor and brother in the Lord), in raising her three boys — Jay, Luke, and Bruce — and in her personal walk with God, everything points back to Christ being above all.We talked about the beauty and the weight of keeping Christ preeminent — not just in big moments, but in the daily rhythms of family, faith, and even in the hidden places where no one else sees. Laura Beth shared how she and Webb have built a marriage around surrender, how she navigates motherhood with grace and intentionality, and how she leans on Jesus when things feel heavy. This isn’t just a story of a strong woman — it’s a story of a surrendered one. A woman who knows that in Him, all things hold together.I hope you enjoyed this episode as much as I did! God bless!

Episode 38- My Beautiful Girlfriend, McKenzie Autry!
Not much of an introduction needed for this episode! For episode 38 of the Just God Pod I had on my beautiful, intelligent, hard-working, determined, fearless girlfriend, McKenzie Autry! There probably aren’t enough words to describe her and I am not sure why the Lord sent me an angel from above but I thank Him everyday for it! What most people don’t know about me is that it was McKenzie that really sparked my walk with the Lord. I will never forget first meeting her, how serious and intentional she was with her own walk. I literally said to myself, “If I ever want to date her I am going to have to clean up my act and start taking God seriously.” It wasn’t so much about what she would say, it was the way she lived. Her actions have always spoken much louder than her words. Seeing her heart, the way she treats others, the way she diligently works in PA school, the way she loves the Lord. I am trying to tell y’all, I outkicked my coverage. On this episode we shared a little bit of what our relationship looks like, from where we first started to where we are now. McKenzie shared her own story about growing up being a Pastor’s kid (PK), mentoring her two younger sisters, where she seeks her validation from in the crazy social media age we live in, and also her thoughts on the book (I sort of forced her to read), The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry. It was an incredible conversation with an incredible individual. McKenzie’s verse of the week was her life verse, something her parents always spoke over her life since she was a kid. It is 2 Timothy 1:7 which says “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” She opened up about having really bad anxiety attacks as a kid and how this Scripture would help her through difficult times as well as why it is important today to memorize Scripture for situations like these!I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did with someone I love with every bone in my body!God bless!

Episode 37- My Main Man! Reid Haddock!
Today I’m joined by one of my best friends in the entire world — Reid Haddock. If you know Reid, you know he’s one of the most passionate, genuine, and loyal people out there. He’s also — without question — the biggest East Carolina baseball fan to ever live. Pirate Nation runs through his blood, and he reps it with pride. But beyond his love for the game, Reid lives with a heart that’s anchored in faith, and that’s what made this conversation so special. Reid knew who I was before I knew who he was when he formed a friendship with my good friend Zach Agnos. What I didn’t know at the time was how much Reid and his family would mean to me down the road. The Haddock family has played such an impactful role in my life, not just through my time at ECU but also spiritually. I had Reid’s dad on as a guest in an earlier episode where we talked about the small group that we are both apart of. I am truly blessed to know and to love the Haddock family! In this episode we talked a lot about Reid’s verse of the week which came from Matthew 7:12, “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.” Reid talked a lot about the golden rule, explaining that a big part of the way he lives his life is so that others can reciprocate it back towards him. Showing the Lord’s love for others, letting His light shine, and changing the world one conversation or encounter at a time. We also hit on the power of prayer, how the Haddock family incorporates it in their household, and why turning to our Heavenly Father is perhaps the most important thing we can do each day. I hope you enjoy listening to this episode as much as I enjoyed doing it. I got a special place in my heart for my guy Reid Haddock!

Episode 36- Dunedin Blue Jays Team Chaplain, CJ Patrick
This week I got to sit down with CJ Patrick, team chaplain for the Dunedin Blue Jays, and someone who’s been a steady mentor and spiritual brother to me over the past year. Our conversation was rooted in this weeks verse(s) of the week which came from Colossians 3:1–17, a passage that calls us to live with our hearts and minds set on things above — and to walk in the new identity we’ve been given in Christ. From the moment we met, CJ has modeled what it looks like to live that out. I was fortunate to attend a lot of small groups with him this year to see his leadership qualities put on full display. Whether he’s serving athletes behind the scenes or offering wisdom in the quiet moments, his life reflects the character of Jesus. In this episode, we talk deeply about what it means to “put off the old self” — to lay down pride, anger, and selfishness — and “put on the new self,” clothed in compassion, humility, patience, and above all, love.We explored how these truths hit differently in everyday life: in leadership, in relationships, in moments of uncertainty, and even in the middle of a baseball clubhouse. CJ’s insight is real, practical, and rooted in the Word — and this scripture frames everything we discuss. This isn’t just a theological conversation — it’s a personal one. And it’s one I pray brings clarity and encouragement to anyone trying to figure out how to walk faithfully in this world without being shaped by it.

Episode 35- Faith in Action with Founder of the Campus Homeless Project, Tim Nicholson
In this powerful episode of the Just God Pod, I sit down with my good friend Tim Nicholson—a man whose story beautifully captures what it means to respond to God’s quiet nudge with bold action.Tim graduated from George Washington University, where he played four years of Division I baseball. But beyond the field and the classroom, Tim noticed something that stirred his heart deeply: the visible and growing homeless population in Washington, D.C. Day after day, walking through the city (aka “Tent City”), he couldn’t ignore what he saw. But more than that—he couldn’t shake the conviction God placed on his heart to do something about it.Now pursuing his master’s degree at the University of Michigan, Tim is living out that calling in a real, tangible way. He recently launched the Campus Homeless Project—an initiative aimed at mobilizing college students across the nation to serve and advocate for the homeless in their own communities. What started as a small idea rooted in compassion is now growing into a potential nonprofit organization, with the dream of establishing campus ambassadors at universities everywhere.Tim’s story is a reminder that ministry isn’t always behind a pulpit—sometimes it starts with simply noticing who society forgets and being willing to step in with love.If you’ve ever wondered what it looks like to live out your faith in a practical and world-changing way, this episode will encourage and challenge you.Tim’s verse of the week is a strong one from 2 Timothy 1:7 “for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”

Episode 34- Serving Christ on and off the Court with Chase Johnston
In Episode 34 of the Just God Pod, I sit down with Chase Johnston, a basketball player at High Point University (who won the Big South Tournament and had a March Madness appearance last year) who’s not just known for his talent on the court — but for his heart to serve his teammates and live boldly for Jesus in a world that constantly pushes the opposite message. This conversation isn’t about perfection. It’s about two sinners in need of a Savior, talking honestly about the grace of God, the daily battles we face in our respective playing fields, and the deep need we all have for Jesus.Chase shares how he’s been intentional in leading and serving his teammates — not from a place of superiority, but from humility. He wants his life to reflect Christ, even when it’s hard, even when it’s not popular. We talk about the importance of holding our brothers and sisters in Christ accountable. Not in judgment — but in love. In a world that tells us to “find your truth” and “do whatever makes you happy,” we’re reminded that real love speaks truth, even when it’s uncomfortable. We also get into what it looks like to live a counter-cultural life — one that chooses purity over pressure, humility over hype, and the Word over the world.Chase’s verse of the week comes from Psalm 84:10 which says:“Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.”This verse hits the heart of what Chase is living out — choosing faithfulness over fame, and presence with God over popularity with the world. It’s a reminder that even the smallest role in God’s Kingdom is worth more than the greatest position outside of it.This episode isn’t just for athletes — it’s for anyone trying to live for Jesus in the midst of a culture that constantly tries to pull us away from Him.

Episode 33- No Guest, Just God. A Spiritual Season Update
This episode is a little different. No guest this week—just me and a message the Lord laid on my heart. I wanted to take a few minutes to share something simple but deeply important.I dive into Matthew 7:21-23, where Jesus speaks some of the most sobering words in Scripture: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven…” These verses have been weighing on me lately, challenging me to reflect on what it really means to know Him—not just do things for Him.I also share some thoughts from a book I’ve been reading: The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry by John Mark Comer. It’s been a timely reminder that hurry is one of the greatest threats to a deep, abiding relationship with God. The book invites us to consider the way of Jesus—not just His teachings, but His pace. It’s helped me see how busyness can distract us from intimacy, and why slowing down is an act of obedience and trust. So if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stretched too thin, or just spiritually dry—this short episode is for you. Let’s pause, breathe, and return to the simplicity of being with Jesus.

Episode 32- Associate Pastor at Centre Church & Canadians Team Chaplain, Cliff Ursel
In this special episode, I’m joined by Cliff Ursel — my team chaplain with the Vancouver Canadians and a pastor at Centre Church here in downtown Vancouver, BC. Together, we open up the powerful and often-overlooked epistle of Titus. This short letter from Paul is packed with instruction, encouragement, and a call to pursue sound doctrine and godly living. We unpack the context, the challenges of the early church, and how its message still speaks with clarity and urgency today. We also dive into what leadership looks like in the body of Christ. Cliff shares his heart and insight on spiritual leadership — not just as a title, but as a calling rooted in humility, character, and service. Whether you’re leading from the pulpit, the dugout, or your family dinner table, this conversation will challenge you to lead with intention and grace. One of the most beautiful truths we touch on in Titus is how God uses people of all ages to build His church. From young believers to seasoned saints, each person has a role in the Kingdom. We talk about mentorship, generational discipleship, and how the church becomes stronger when every age group is engaged, honored, and empowered to serve. Our conversation also turns to relationships — the ones we have with God, with others, and even with ourselves. Cliff offers wisdom on navigating relationships with authenticity and love, especially in a world that often values performance over presence. We reflect on how godly relationships can be a reflection of God’s grace and a witness to those around us.And finally, we go deep on the love of the Lord — a love that meets us where we are, but never leaves us there. We talk about the endless depth of God’s grace, His pursuit of our hearts, and how experiencing that love changes everything. If you’ve ever doubted how far God will go for you, this episode is a reminder that His love truly knows no bounds.Tune in, be encouraged, and let God speak to your heart through this rich and honest conversation.

But his ministry doesn’t stop there—on the campus of JMU, Dylan is a light in his community, living out his faith in everyday conversations, relationships, and moments of quiet obedience. He opens up about the challenges and joys of leading while still growing himself, and how God has continually shown up—faithful, present, and personal through it all. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

From growing up in the D.R. to moving to the U.S. to attend Point Park University, and eventually joining the Toronto Blue Jays organization in 2019, his story is a testament to God’s grace and divine timing. In this episode, we talk about what it was like to transition between countries and cultures, the identity struggles that can come with those changes, and the lessons he’s learned both on and off the field. Episode 28- A mentor, a friend, this show’s sponsor, Mr. Mike Aman
In this special episode of the Just God Pod, I sit down with someone who’s made a lasting impact on my life—Mike Aman. He’s not only the generous sponsor behind this podcast but also a mentor who’s helped guide me through some of my most pivotal moments.Mike shares his journey of building a life anchored in faith and family, and how he’s seen God’s favor show up time and time again. From navigating personal challenges to embracing his calling, Mike’s story is a reminder that when we stay rooted in God's presence, everything else begins to align. One of the greatest gifts Mike has given me is his example of leadership—steady, humble, and led by faith. He’s taught me so much about what it means to lead with integrity, to put people first, and to trust God even when the path isn’t clear. We talk about legacy, obedience, and what it means to truly trust God through every season. He also touches on the mindset that helped him succeed in business, but above all, this episode is about how God leads, provides, and blesses those who walk closely with Him.This conversation will encourage, uplift, and challenge you to recognize God’s hand in your own journey. He shared a couple of verses for the week that I believe all listeners should memorize, Matthew 6:33 especially!“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”Matthew 6:33 “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.””John 16:33 ““Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. If you’ve ever struggled with identity, relationships, or staying grounded while chasing big dreams — this one’s for you.Brandon’s verse of the week was 1 Corinthians 9:25 which says “All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize.”A great reminder not just for athletes but for all; set your eyes on things above, not the ones that you can’t take with you when you go, these things of the earth will all pass and decay. Episode 26- A guy that needs no intro, Parker Byrd
This week, I had the absolute honor of sitting down with one of my best friends Parker Byrd — someone whose story is a powerful testament to resilience, faith, and the strength that comes from leaning into God during life’s hardest moments. This dude inspires me and so many others every single day and I am blessed to just have a guy like this in my life!Parker shares his journey — one filled with unexpected challenges to finding purpose in the pain. We talk about the role his faith has played every step of the way, the importance of family, and how he continues to be a source of inspiration to so many people around the country. His perspective is refreshing, honest, and deeply moving. This isn’t just a conversation — it’s a reminder that no matter what we face, God’s not done writing our story. If you need encouragement, hope, or just want to hear from someone who lives out what it means to walk by faith — this one’s for you.His verse of the week aligns with his One Word for the year which is “shine” to go with Matthew 5:14-16 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”And of course we jumped into the Resurrection given the time of Easter as well. We pray this episode falls on someone to give hope, encouragement, and life!

Episode 25- How what the enemy intends for evil, God uses for good with Shane Canestra
In this deeply moving and powerful episode, we sit down with Shane Canestra to discuss the chilling plot against Park Valley Church that unfolded in September of 2023. It was a moment meant to bring chaos, fear, and harm to a place of worship — but through God's grace, it became a testimony of His protection, redemption, and purpose.Together, we unpack the emotional weight of that event, the impact on the community, and how God continues to work through even the darkest circumstances. This episode is a reminder that what the enemy meant for evil, God can and will use for good (Genesis 50:20). His light shines brightest in the darkest places, and His plans will always prevail.⚠️ Listener discretion is advised: this episode includes discussion of traumatic events that may be triggering for some. Please take care as you listen. If you've ever wrestled with fear, trauma, or the question of where God is in the midst of tragedy, this episode is for you. We pray it brings encouragement, perspective, and a renewed sense of hope.

Episode 24- Trainer Dan Palacios
Episode 24 features Dan Palacios @livekinetically. Dan is a part-time personal trainer, full time disciple of the Lord. We actually got put into contact through my agent that is trained by Dan twice a week. Dan’s story is one that could only be written by God, and he would be the first one to tell you that. His authenticity and outright love for the Lord is contagious and motivating! Throughout this episode he shares his testimony as well testimonies of others that make it very hard for me to believe that things just occur by happenstance. Even how his business got started isn’t a coincidence in my eyes, it was all intricately woven by God. I believe that a listener out there will hear one of the stories he shares and have that same revelation. Often times we can’t see the work that the Lord is doing in our lives behind the scenes, but that does not mean that he isn’t working! Continuing to be steadfast in prayer and faith, His will be done!Dan’s verse of the week was Isaiah 40:31 which says “but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”I have always liked that verse when facing a physical battle in my life, I can certainly see why a personal trainer would use this verse!

Episode 22- Leonard Paulk aka Scooter
On today’s episode, I brought on another one of my mentors, Leonard Paulk (Scooter). Talk about wisdom. God has imparted a ton in him! However, it is not by happenstance because Scooter is not just a fan of Jesus, he is a true disciple of Jesus. He is always in the Word, being led by the Holy Spirit which is evident in the way he interacts with you. My roommate Chuck and I would always laugh at Bible study when he would speak because it was not often that he did, but you knew that as soon as he did you better have a pen and paper ready. We discussed how much time represents in his life, what it means to him to be a father, being obedient to the Lord, and so much more! It is admirable hearing his story about his upbringing to where he is now. Seeing the maturation process from when he heard the Lord’s voice but leaned on his own understanding to where he is now… fully committed and obedient to what the Lord has in store for him! His verse of the week was 2 Peter 3:8-9 “But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.”Interesting perspective for us to think of when it feels like things are taking a “long” time for us!Happy listening!

Episode 21- Mr. Pat Gallagher
Episode 21 features a brother of mine that I have only met recently, Pat Gallagher. I met Pat a little over a month ago and already I count him a brother, and I do not say that lightly.Pat is someone to look up to whenever I walk into the locker room each day. He embodies Christ in everything he does, whether that is in his interactions with other players, staff, coaches, trainers, etc. or sharing Scripture with me throughout the day. It is great to have someone that I can bounce ideas off of and also help me stay grounded. He has a ton of wisdom that I am excited for listeners to hear so be sure to share this with someone who is on the cusp of going all in for Christ! Pat’s verse of the week was Galatians 6:8 which says “For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”His insight on this verse and how well he articulates what it means to his life is incredible, give it a listen and be sure to memorize this one!Happy listening!

Episode 20- Cole Garrett aka Sarge
Episode 20 of the Just God Pod featured Cole Garrett. I only met Cole once in person through mutual friends, but after getting to know him better and spend time in fellowship with him, he is someone I want to have a lasting friendship with. He is a genuine, down to earth, God fearing follower of Christ. Cole played college baseball at Virginia Military Institute which we dove deeper into throughout the episode. What I enjoyed about this conversation was how well he was able to truly articulate the relationship aspect of becoming a Believer. He is in oneness with Christ that’s for sure. I look forward to continuing my relationship with Cole further down the road and using him as a resource for my own walk! His verse of the week came from Isaiah 53:5 which says “But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.”Jesus took the sin, the pain, the weight of the world, and nailed it to the Cross. We are undeserving of His grace and mercy, yet He would do it over again for us. Thank you God, for sending your Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the Cross for me. Share this conversation with someone who is on the fence about Christ!Happy listening!

Episode 19- My guys J Dub and Caden!
A year ago if you were to tell me I’d have JW Kohlmeyer and Caden Merritt on a podcast to talk about God I would have said you’re insane. Again, the transformational power of God. These two studs are both committed to play division one baseball but reflecting on the episode, we hardly even mentioned baseball! That is exactly what I love about these guys… their identity is not in baseball anymore, it is in the Lord. They do not let a sport define who they are as people, sons, brothers, teammates, etc. Both of them have grown an incremental amount over these past couple of months. I genuinely appreciate them taking a step of faith and joining the pod. Both have been outspoken recently and it is incredible to watch from afar. They are leading a revival amongst northern Virginia high schools and surrounding communities alongside Preston Conder (Quarterbacks coach at Gainesville H.S.) who has done a tremendous job in mentoring young men and women in the area. God is alive and moving! Here are the verses of the week: Caden had Proverbs 12:25 that reads “Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.” Caden opened up about his battle against anxiety which is something I am sure is not easy for him to talk about publicly but I believe the Lord will use him in mighty ways to help others find peace in knowing and trusting the Lord!J Dub’s verse was 1 Thessalonians 5:15 that says “See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.”Happy listening! God bless!

Episode 18- Trey Haddock
This week I had on someone that has been a true friend and mentor in my life these past several years, Mr. Trey Haddock. I met the Haddock family before ever stepping on campus at ECU through my best friend Zach Agnos. Trey’s youngest son, Reid, is the biggest ECU baseball fan on the planet so I quickly built a relationship with the Haddock family. What I believe is so special to me, is seeing the transformation that Trey has had since first meeting him back in 2021. Truly, he is an example of the transformational power that God holds. As we discussed in the episode, after he joined our small group in 2024, his transformation began in himself and it has carried over into every area of his life… including his marriage, his relationship with his kids, how he parents, etc. Trey has multiple favorite verses and they are always changing based on the season of his life, but for today’s episode he chose Romans 5:1-5 that says “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”We hope you enjoy this episode, God bless!

Episode 17- Brayden Gault (he’s a beast)
On today’s episode we had Brayden Gault! This was a great conversation with someone who I didn’t know that closely in high school, yet always respected his work ethic and his respect for others. There was always something different about him that I could not figure out but now looking back I see that it was the Holy Spirit. Brayden is a member of the 1,000 point club for Battlefield men’s basketball, he went on to play college ball for a bit before retiring and pursuing his relationship with Christ! As we discuss in this episode, Brayden is facing some trials right now but his perspective on how the Lord’s hand is in it all is nothing short of amazing. What an encouraging Word that Brayden gives for us all! Brayden’s verse(s) of the week came from 1 John 4:18-19 that says “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because he first loved us.”A beautiful reminder for everyone seeking a love for Christ, His love for us is immeasurable and undeniable!

Episode 16- Former DOBO of ECU Baseball, Blake Hardegree
I promise you this episode was better than the Super Bowl! Blake is someone I look up to for his downright obedience to Christ, for his willingness to say, “not my will, Lord, but yours,” for his perspective on life, and for how he treats others. It is rare to find someone who is so committed to excellence in all that they do in their life, yet it can be found in Blake. I can firmly stand on the statement that Blake was the best Director of Baseball Operations, yet when the Lord had called him to be more involved with his growing family, Blake could no longer wrestle with God. He resigned after the 2024 baseball season and is now working a job that allows him to spend more time with God and family! A big shoutout to his wife Sarah as well, Graham (their son), and their baby to be born here in a few short weeks! Congratulations! Blakes verse(s) of the week were from Psalm 37:3-4 which says “Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Yup I’d say that sums up Blake! Tune into to hear his perspective on what this verse means to him! Happy listening and God bless!

Episode 15- My good friends, Kyle and Beau
This episode was awesome. Kyle Canestra and Beau Curtis are some of my closest friends since I first met them 10+ years ago. It has been incredible seeing their individual relationships grow with the Lord. The time they put into getting in the Word, showing up for Bible study, and staying consistent in prayer is admirable and again has been a pleasure to watch from afar. Extremely proud of these guys! What started as us three in a Bible study back in September has now grown to eight of us from high school. We talked about it in this episode and I may mention almost every episode but the importance of joining a small group is pivotal in growing in your walk with the Lord! My two friends here are prime examples of this, as well as the others apart of the group. Here were there verse(s) of the week:Beau had Romans 5:3-5 which says “Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”Kyle had Proverbs 3:5-6 which says “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”Some great verses for all listeners to memorize and apply to whatever season of life you may be in!Share this with someone who is on the edge about thinking of joining a small group. Happy listening!

Episode 14- Blue Jays Prospect, Tucker Toman!
Join us for our first ever live interview! Today, 2022 2nd round draft pick for the Toronto Blue Jays joined the show and it was an absolute blast! Tucker is one of my closest friends since joining the organization and we have helped one another grow in our walk since the moment we met! Tuck is as down to earth as they come, he puts God first in all that he does, you can feel the Holy Spirit around him, and he just is someone that you want to surround yourself with. Tucker’s verse of the week was Colossians 3:23 that says “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for working for the Lord and not for human masters.” This verse is also one of my favorites and reminds me that WHATEVER I am doing, I am going to do it the best possible way I know how. We hope you enjoy this episode and be sure to share it with some friends! God bless and happy listening!

Episode 13- Kristy Geloso, DNP, RN, NPD-BC (that’s a lot of letters)
On today’s episode we are joined by my former neighbor from my time growing up in Huntington Beach, California, Kristy Geloso. As you can see from the title, Kristy is distinguished in the medical field. Although it wasn’t always rainbows and butterflies, she continued to depend on the Lord and He is using her now in mighty ways to grow the Kingdom! This was a special episode for me personally because I had the chance to reconnect with someone from my childhood that I spent so much time with. Her husband, Rob, and son, Mason, were apart of our family during our time in SoCal. Last week I was fortunate enough to fly out there to see them for the first time in over 5 years! We had a blast catching up and what was even more cool was getting the opportunity to go to Mariners Church with them in Newport Beach. Kristy’s verse(s) of the week comes from Matthew 6:19-21 that says “‘Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”We hope you enjoy this episode with someone my family and I hold a special friendship with!Happy listening!

Episode Number ??- Big Chuck!
Join us today for an episode with one of my best friends, also my college roommate, Mr. Charlie Hodges. Big Chuck is an inspiration to me and we helped one another grow throughout our time at ECU. He faced plenty of adversity there, while he just continued to persevere and move forward. The Lord used him in mighty ways, as he helped lead the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, brought ten of his teammates to get baptized, and served as one of the best teammates in the locker room. ECU baseball was left better because of him and who he was through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is marrying his best friend, Jenna, this year so make sure you give him a big congratulations!Charlies verse of the week, Colossians 4:2 says “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” This verse aligns beautifully with his one word for the year as well which is Abide! Give this episode a listen and share it with a friend, happy listening!

Surprise Episode- The healers of my knee through the Holy Spirit (The Frankies)
On January 4, 2025 I showed up to Run With Christ (RWC) D.C. to see my high school friends, Beau Curtis and Kyle Canestra. They were aware of the knee pain that I have lived with for over the past three years and said that they understood why if I didn’t want to show up. We had been trying to connect in person for quite some time so I put my bum knee problems aside and decided to run the three miles that freezing cold Saturday morning just for them. What I didn’t know was that after the run, I would be healed of all knee pain and leave with a powerful testimony. Praise God! Kyle and I finished our 3.1 mile run and were getting ready to head over to the local coffee shop to warm up and share fellowship with other runners that were there that day. There was about 10 people left when out of the corner of my eye I see a lady walk around the group and stand right next to me. The lady (Frankie), asked if anybody’s knee needed healing. This was it. This was the moment God would heal my knee. But was it? That thought crept into my mind, all the doubt, the unbelief. Sure I have heard of miracles or seen them on YouTube, but could that ever even be possible for me? These were the thoughts racing through my mind even in the middle of the prayer. I wanted to believe so badly, I wanted to have no doubt in God, yet it was all still there. It wasn’t until in the middle of it I felt my knee get super heavy, like there was a weight in it, and then all of a sudden it all left and began to feel weightless. That is when every single doubt, unbelief, shame, fear, worry, etc. was put to sleep. Ever. What I experienced on Saturday truly brings my faith to a whole new level! What I believed to be faith for me, was replaced by an unwavering testimony to the Lord and Savior of the world, Jesus Christ! This podcast may have been started solely for this episode, I’m not sure. But what I can tell you is that I am now living for Christ and Christ only. I am ready to truly be an unashamed Follower of Christ. I pray this episode brings healing, belief, and hope into the lives of many because God truly sees you. And He loves you more than anything in this entire world. Believe that! God Bless!Revelation 19:10- Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God.” For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Episode 10- Tanner Thach (great guy btw)
On today’s episode we have Tanner Thach, UNC Wilmington first baseman, join the show. Tanner is a phenomenal baseball player, in fact, you will probably hear his name called in the first round of this year’s MLB draft. But Tanner is a better human being than he is baseball player. That is what I find most admirable in this 20 year old young man. He finds his identity in the Lord, not in being a baseball player. Not to put words into his mouth, but I am sure that Tanner could care less about being a first round draft pick, he wants to be the star player for Christ our Lord and that is it. Tanner and I went up against one another in college as so-called “rivals” but we discussed that in today’s society, it is not me vs. you, we are on one team. JESUS’S TEAM! Amen!Tanner’s verse of the week was from Philippians 3:13-14 that says, “Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

Episode 9- The Tyndall Boys
Today’s episode was perhaps the most fun I’ve had on an episode thus far. We had the Tyndall boys join the show for a phenomenal time. The wisdom these three young men have is incredible and I am excited to have the listeners get a chance to hear what Jay (19), Luke (16), and Bruce (12) Tyndall have to say when it comes to their walk with God. We had three verses of the week: Jay- Isaiah 58:11 says ““The Lord will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring.”Luke- Jeremiah 29:11 says ““For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”Bruce- Philippians 4:6-7 says ““Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”Truly a special episode with special young men, Webb and Laura Beth Tyndall have much to be proud of! Happy New Year and happy listening!

Episode 8- Pastor of Opendoor Church, Aaron Kennedy
On today’s episode, we are joined by one of the Senior Pastor’s at Opendoor Church, Aaron Kennedy. His wife, Lauren, also serves as the other Senior Pastor of the church. I have had the pleasure of attending Opendoor throughout my time at East Carolina and it has been a life changing church to attend. This episode was Spirit led, as we talked a lot on his verse of the week from John chapter 21. His specific verse of the week was John 21:15 that reads“When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, ‘Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?’ He said to him, ‘Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.’ He said to him, ‘Feed my lambs.’”A good reminder for us as Believers, there cannot be a love greater than our love for Him! Romans 8:38-39 says this “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”This holiday season, let us love one another the way He loves us, have a Merry Christmas and blessed New Year!

Episode 7- Todd & Reagan Howell
On today’s episode we have the first couple to join at the same time, Todd and Reagan Howell. Two devout Followers of Christ, we discuss their own unique walk with the Lord as well as how they have helped one another grow through their marriage. Each are in their own small groups, with Todd leading the charge in the one I am in every Tuesday and Thursday morning. It has been an honor and a privilege to hear the Word spoken through him on those mornings. They decided to choose their own verses of the week.Reagan’s was 2 Corinthians 4:7-12 that says “We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies. Yes, we live under constant danger of death because we serve Jesus, so that the life of Jesus will be evident in our dying bodies. So we live in the face of death, but this has resulted in eternal life for you.”Todd’s was Galatians 2:20 that reads “I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live, but He who lives in me.”

Episode 6- Erin Davis
On today’s episode we bring on Erin Davis! Her and her husband Chip are great friends of mine and I have had the privilege to also spend quality time with their kids, Wells and Sloan. Our conversation consisted of family, faith, and fellowship. This episode also included the first time doing something new: a verse of the week. Every week, I will be asking my guest for a verse of the week; it could be one that they live by, love to share with others, or just has been on their heart recently and I challenge listeners to memorize this Scripture for the week! Erin chose Luke 1:45 which says “blessed is she who believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her.”We took a deep dive into that verse as well all of Luke chapter 1. She gave a ton of wisdom and perspective that you won’t want to miss!Happy listening!
