What Does The Law of God Require? | Catechism Episode 7

If we glorify God by obeying Him in all that we say and do, then that means that God is the author of morality: He is the one who properly determines what is good and what is evil. God's law is for all humanity, serving as a moral guide, revealing sin, restraining evil, and directing believers toward righteous living. What then does The Law of God require? The greatest teacher who ever walked the earth explains clearly exactly what The Law of God requires from a person. The word for law in Hebrew is תּוֹרָה (Torah). Jesus of Nazareth taught that The Law of God requires two main commands to obey: loving God and loving people. The entire Law and prophets, hang on those two commands. What Else Did God Create? | Catechism Episode 5

Take a step outside, and look at the sky. Look at the clouds, the stars, the sun and the moon. Or what if you go to the beach, stare at the vast bodies of water in the ocean, and watch the tidal waves. When you go to the zoo, or to a public aquarium, you see all of the wonderful things that our God has created by His mighty Hand and powerful Word. All of Creation was made by The Lord our God, and Creation points to God's wonderful and majestic power and nature. We discussed in the last episode how God created mankind on the 6th day, but what else did God create on days 1-5? We are going to deep dive on the creation account found in Genesis chapter 1! Grab your Bibles, and let's dig into the text of Scripture! New City Catechism - https://newcitycatechism.com/new-city-catechism/#6

What is the Holy Trinity? | Catechism Episode 3

God is infinitely greater than any other being within the cosmos, physical, and metaphysical realms. He is the only God, no other gods exist or come before Him. However, He is a Triune God that exists in three different persons! These three persons are the Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and The Holy Spirit. In this episode, we will cover the most complex core doctrine of Christianity, The Trinity. Where did the word trinity come from? Is the word trinity found in the Bible? What does the Bible teach about the Trinity? We will answer these questions in today's episode! God bless you and keep you in His perfect peace. Jesus loves you, as do I. Thank you so much for supporting this ministry :) Side Note: I will be reading and teaching from the ESV (English Standard Version) translation from now on. https://newcitycatechism.com/new-city-catechism/#3

Who is God? What is God? | Catechism Episode 2

Shalom; this is the day that The Lord has made! Let us all rejoice, and be glad in it! This is the 2nd official episode, and we are discussing the character of God and different components of His nature. There are so many various ideologies and theories of who God is, and so many ways people try to capture his divine attributes, but only The Scriptures can give us an idea of who God really is. Even then, no one can fully fathom who God is; but we can still study and understand what has been revealed to us in The Scriptures. Ultimately, God is who He says He is: The Great I AM. The Bible tells us all we need to know about God, and how amazing and holy He is! His power is not only incredible, but His love is unmatched. No greater love does anyone have than God's unconditional love for His creation. He loves us so much, and no other pagan/false gods could ever rival the one true God! The God of Israel, The God of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, is The one true God!! New City Catechism website: https://newcitycatechism.com/new-city-catechism/#2

Shalom! I hope and pray that the grace and peace of The Lord Jesus Christ has been with you all. In this episode, I will be covering the topics of death, the soul, and the afterlife. Here are some questions to consider as you listen to this episode: 1. Are you afraid of death? 2. Is there a soul/spirit within the human body?3. What do other religions, philosophers ,and scientists perceive about the afterlife?4. What does Jesus of Nazareth, son of Joseph teach about the afterlife? 5. Do you know where your soul is going when you die?I ask you, challenge yourself and allow yourself to maybe approach this subject with a different mindset. The soul, while not tangible, is very real. There is an afterlife, and it is eternal. There is a place of rest and joy, and a place of torment and suffering. Stay tuned to learn more.
