The present moment is a portal to time travel through. As I travel through memories I realize they don’t just come from a past. Now. At this moment. You are connected to every moment When I was little I created a character or persona and I would daydream about this person that I have now become. Little Olivia would hide away in my room and unleash deep wisdom about who we are. When I meditated a few weeks ago I met a future me that seemed so familiar and yet different, softer, fluid. I brought some pieces of her back from this memory to embody. Could it be I hold all I need to know in this present moment that creates all moments through memory?Could our desires be little whispers from our body through space and memory telling us what’s possible? What would happen if we listened to that and followed it, heart open? Liv, in the know is to be embodied in the knowing. All doors are closed and you’re sat in the waiting room of life! Liminal space where the present moment is trust at your awareness. Some changes are inevitable. The DreamHouse Lounge is one of my favorite vibes in New Orleans. February 22, 2025 their doors closed and I attended the closing party. The owner, Oba Yoko, one of my favorite people, in his speech, talked about how the CBD in New Orleans was where the enslaved people were held before they were taken to the French Quarter. That night a group of black and brown people, queer people, from all over the world danced to African drums, honored our ancestors in a business in the CBD owned by a black queer Ifa priest. I imagined the enslaved people in their position at the time being whispered to, by the land, a dream of this scene. The dreams transcend time and space. The land holds the memory. Our bodies hold memory. Memory is how we know we are alive and have been alive. In this episode I reflect on crossroads and liminal spaces and retrogrades and how this space allows us to slow down enough to feel all the emotions evoked from memory. The memories we deem past and future. We are sat in the present moment and have no choice but to look around. I share a poem about liminal spaces and the way anxiety and a sort of insanity can creep up when you are feeling the past, ready for the future and sat in the present moment noticing all that is occurring. We are in this moment collectively. Witnessing the transition of the US empire and looking around at, what the Akashic records described as a scene that is, “comically chaotic”. So here we are in the present. Sat in a chair with doors on the opposite ends. One of them can open at any moment. A decision must be made so we look around and slowly lose our grip on what is real.
