Living Generationally

These podcast episodes have become a space where I can openly share what I’m personally processing and engaging with in my own life. I hope that these conversations don’t just stay here, but grow into meaningful discussions among both young and old. I don’t claim to understand all the ins and outs of AI, but I deeply believe we need to be talking about it within our families and communities. Change is happening quickly, and if we don’t seek understanding, it can shape the future of our lives without intentional thought or preparation. There is a lot of doomsday language surrounding AI that stirs fear in our hearts. Instead, I want to approach this conversation with wisdom, action, accountability, and hope. I believe God is good and just. And as Christians—“little Christs”—we have the opportunity to bring truth, light, hope, and life into a world that often feels like it’s trending toward darkness. The world of AI can feel shocking and even concerning. But with thoughtful reflection, prayer, discernment, and courage, I believe there are also real opportunities ahead. The messaging that comes from the world can be very confusing and disheartening. One moment you are being told there is no hope, and your future is bound to be one of hardship and failure, and the next moment you are being told we are going into war and the world is going to end. It almost seems as though the agenda is to keep you discouraged and fearful. In today's podcast episode, I share with you the importance of taking back the responsibility of thinking for yourself in an age where the devil wants you to be compliant and stuck. Disclaimer: I do not have all the answers, and it is good to be wise about the current times we are living in. But we have to use godly wisdom. So here's to stepping outside of what is normal and stepping into a life lived on purpose in an ever-changing world. Often when we hear the word "burden" I can guess that the first thought that comes to mind is "I don't want it." And while that is a very valid thought because life has an odd way of throwing curveballs. I want to challenge both you and me with a viewpoint I heard while listening to Shawn Ryan's Podcast and in his interview with Tim Tebow. We should take great joy in the burdens the Lord gives us, while also recognizing the wonderful friend we have in Him that he shares it with us. Maybe our burdens reveal something deeper about ourselves. A greater work the Lord may be calling us to take part in. Stepping outside the box is not easy, but I believe it can be more fulfilling in the end especially when the Lord is calling you to do so. You don't have to be conformed to what the world is calling you to do. It can be scary but we can trust our unknown future to a known and powerful and mighty God. How easy it is to stray away from grace and forget that it was grace that brought us to God. I realized in my own life how I have become so critical, short-tempered, and holding grudges against others. The Lord convicted me and is reminding me that it is His grace that saved me and that I do not deserve it at all. Let's get back to good ole simple grace—how we dearly need it. I find that taking deep breaths taking a pause and going to the Lord helps me. My brain is slowly learning how to exit out of fight or flight mode. Dear Young Person,There is value in your YOUTH please don’t waste it. The call to worldly desires may be strong. But I promise you that a life devoted to Jesus is a life not wasted. You may be discouraged and uncertain about what’s next. I understand I’ve been there and honestly find myself there sometimes now but know this there is hope and guidance in the Lord. Yes it will take exercised Faith on your part, but He will guide you. There may be waiting but know this we serve a God who brings transformation in the waiting. No it’s not “easy” but you are among the called and it will be hard. You are being built. You will be looked at oddly by the world…but the path that is not commonly taken is worth it. I mean we are a peculiar people (if you are in Christ). In the grand scheme of it all, all your most treasured pleasures and desires amount to nothing they are temporal…fleeting. Christ is eternal choose his way the narrow way to life. Live with legacy leading to the Future.
