Knowing Her Value - 5/3 - Allison Riley

Knowing Her Value (Part 1): The Design, The Distortion, and The DeclarationScripture References: Genesis 1:26–28, Genesis 3:1–16, Ephesians 2:10, Romans 8:1Where does your value come from? Is it found in your productivity, your relationships, or the image you project to the world? In the first installment of our new ladies' series, Knowing Her Value, we strip away the noise of culture and opinion to rediscover the truth of who God says you are.You were not a product of chance or an afterthought of culture. You were designed on purpose, with purpose, bearing the very image of the Creator. Understanding this truth changes everything about how you see yourself and how you move through the world.Key Takeaways• The Design: In Genesis 1, we see that humanity is the crown of creation. Being made in the "image and likeness" of God isn't just a sentiment—it is your fundamental identity. You were created to reflect His character and partner in His work.• The Distortion: We live in the reality of Genesis 3. The lies of the enemy, the brokenness of the world, and our own choices have "distorted" the image we were meant to carry. We often feel the weight of this distortion through insecurity, comparison, and the pain of broken relationships.• The Declaration: Despite the distortion, God’s word over you remains clear. Ephesians 2:10 declares you are His handiwork (His masterpiece), recreated in Christ for a specific purpose. Because of Jesus, the weight of condemnation is lifted, and your value is restored.A Note for Your Heart"You don't need to become worthy. You need to discover that you already are."The world tells you that worth is something to be earned, but the Gospel tells us it is something that has already been bestowed. This week, we invite you to stop striving for a seat at the table and start living from the seat God has already prepared for you.Connect with Us:We are so excited to walk through this series with the women of our church! Parenting on Purpose: Teach them with your words - 4/26 - Chris Youngblood

Scripture References: Deuteronomy 6:1–9, Proverbs 18:20–21, Lamentations 3:21–24Our words have the power to build a bridge to the Gospel or a wall around it. In the third part of our Parenting on Purpose series, we explore the profound impact of our speech within the home and how our daily conversations shape a child's view of God.Studies show that children who feel verbally manipulated or pressured into their faith are less likely to commit to those values as adults. This week, we discuss how to move away from "performance-based" parenting and toward a lifestyle of discipleship that "breathes life" rather than demands perfection.Key Takeaways• Life or Death in the Tongue: According to Proverbs 18, our words can either nourish a child’s identity in Christ or stifle their desire for faith through harshness and hypocrisy.• The Heart Overflow: Drawing from Luke 6:45, we learn that the words we use to teach our children must come from an overflow of what the Lord is teaching us. We cannot pour out what we aren't taking in.• Cultivating a Discipleship Culture: As a church and as parents, we raise disciples by removing the pressure of performance, defusing the insecurity of comparison, and offering reassurance during failure.• The Four Postures of Discipleship: Following the model in Deuteronomy 6, we look at how to leverage the "ordinary" rhythms of life:1. Sitting at home: Meals and downtime.2. Walking along the road: Car rides and errands.3. Lying down: Bedtime routines.4. Getting up: The morning rush.Reflection & ChallengeAre you reflecting the image of a disappointed judge, or the image of the Father who offers new mercies every morning? As we look at Joshua 4 and Lamentations 3, we are challenged to set up "memorial stones" in our homes—reminders of God’s faithfulness that are spoken of with joy, not just obligation.Connect with Us:We’d love to hear how these "four postures" are changing your week! Parenting on Purpose: Teach them with your actions - 4/19 - JT Riley

Scripture Reference: Ephesians 6:4How do we balance the "rules" of parenting with the "relationship" of parenting? In the second installment of our Parenting on Purpose series, we dive into Ephesians 6:4 to discover the ultimate blueprint for discipline and discipleship. The goal isn't just to produce well-behaved children, but to treat and train our children in the same way that God treats and trains us. When our parenting reflects the heart of the Father, we create an environment where faith can truly flourish.Key Takeaways• The Danger of Exasperation: Authority exercised without affection is a recipe for resentment. We explore how to lead with a firmness that is wrapped in the warmth of God’s grace.• Be the Soil, Not the Storm: Growth requires a stable, nourishing environment. Is your home a place of peace where a child can take root, or is it a whirlwind of reactive emotions?• Be a Compass, Not a Chain: Our job is not to bind our children through control, but to point them toward the True North. Training is about providing a sense of direction that they can eventually carry on their own.Reflection & ChallengeThis week’s message concludes with a vital question for every parent, grandparent, and mentor:"Are you giving your children a reason to run to God, or a reason to run from Him?"As you listen, take a moment to evaluate whether your parenting style is acting as a bridge or a barrier to your child's relationship with their Heavenly Father.Connect with Us:We’re so glad you joined us for this series!
