It’s the soundtrack of resilience, a hymn for those who’ve faced the tempest and refused to be torn apart. "Like a Storm" is both wound and weapon, thunder and aftermath. "Quiver" by Lola Demo is another dark, edgy anthem, disguised in a melodic weave of guitars and bass that dives deep into the psyche of someone caught in the web of a toxic, all-consuming relationship. The song pulses with a moody, hypnotic energy, driven by a throbbing bass line that feels like the heartbeat of emotional turmoil. The lyrics paint a picture of mental spirals and unrest, with the repeated line "you are in my head" serving as a haunting mantra, echoing the sense of being trapped in an inescapable loop. The verses are raw and confrontational, capturing the unsettling tension between reality and illusion. Lines like "don’t know if they are dead or alive" and "must be something I was fed" suggest a deep suspicion, as if Lola Demo is questioning everything she’s been told and everything she feels. Recorded on a Tascam 4 track. The original was tossed accidentally and only a bad copy of a cassette version remains. That's this. Glitches and noise and all the imperfections of a slightly damaged cassette tape that's this old.

Recorded in 1997. This recording is from the Cassette Sessions '97. The original was recorded on a Tascam 4 track and accidentally discarded by Headcharge 777 when moving from Aus to GR in 2002.

I took a deep dive, but came back up for air, polluted as it may be, and channeled the negative into music, where it's healthier for me. Love one another and live free wherever you find it.
