    Becoming a New Creation

As we learn, we grow. As we grow, we change. As we change, we become new. This day, choose to be renewed through the grace of God and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Amen ( Scripture Reading- II Peter 3:18)

  4. 51

    The Transformative Power of Learning

Learning brings about change. Retaining, understanding, and sharing what we learn brings about growth. (Scripture Reading - Proverbs 1:)

  5. 50

    Celebrate Small Victories

In our quest for success, the big win, or the grand prize we often overlook the steps we take to get there. Small victories are the stepping stones that line our path. While seemingly minor, these small successes are vital to our life perspective, connections to others, and our faith in God. (Scripture Reading- Zechariah 4:10 & Philippians 4:13)

  6. 49

    Love Like Jesus

How much better would the world be if we strive to love each other like Jesus loves. Of course, we can't express our love in the same sacrificial manner as He did. But His display of love should be the goal. (Scripture Reading - Ephesians 4:2 & 1 Corinthians 16:14)

  7. 48

    Using Our Time Wisely

The phrase, "use your time wisely", is often used to signify how valuable yet constant time is. It reminds us to take full advantage and do all that we can with the time we have been blessed with. Because once time passes, we cannot get it back. (Scripture Reading- Ephesians 4:20-24)

  8. 47

    Happy New Year!

A new year brings new opportunity to change habits, course, or continue where we left off. Let's show our gratitude for another year by walking in the newness that God gives. (Scripture Reading - 2 Corinthians 5:17 & Isaiah 43:18-19)

  9. 46

    Christmas P.S.A.

A reminder that YOUR presence is the best gift you can give this Christmas. Whether you come bearing gifts or not, just come! Let love and joy rule this holiday season. Because it's not about the things we buy but it's about sharing the love of Jesus. (Scripture Reading- 1 Peter 4:8-10)

  10. 45

    Consistency is Key

It's not what we do occasionally that matters, but what we do every day. Consistency is key in life and vital to building and maintaining a meaningful relationship with God. (Scripture Reading - Hebrews 10:23)

  11. 44

    Stop, Think, Thank

The leaves are changing color, the breeze is cooler, and the light from the sun dims a little faster. These activities usher in the holiday season. More specifically my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving. Although called Thanksgiving, we sometimes tend to be more anxious than thankful around this time. (Scripture Reading - I Chronicles 16:34)

  12. 43

    Our Good Shepherd

Psalm 23 is one of the most popular passages of scripture around. We see it printed on coffee mugs, t-shirts, and even license plates. We hear it recited in movies, sitcoms, and on social media reels. But have you taken time to read it to understand the picture David is painting? (Scripture Reading- Psalm 23)

  13. 42

    Lord, Help My Unbelief!

The miracles that Jesus performed required an important element from the recipient, belief. Unbelief does not minimize His power however, it can be a barrier that hinders us from receiving it. (Scripture Reading - Mark 9:14 - 27)

  14. 41

    The Fruit We Bear

Jesus taught His followers about the importance of what they do behind the scenes, because the fruit of those actions will be on public display. (Scripture Reading - Matthew 12:33)

  15. 40

    Fruit of the Spirit

It is comforting to know that each of us carry the same attributes of Jesus Christ, by way of the Holy Spirit, that He sent back to dwell in us all. Allowing the comforter to guide our words and actions leads us into true fellowship with God and our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. (Galatians 5:22 & 23).

  16. 39

    Quality vs Quantity

When studying God’s word, many feel that the more they read in a day the better. But, for God’s word to truly work in our lives we must make sure our goal is quality over quantity. (Scripture Reading: Psalm 119: 15-16)

  17. 38

    DAP Conf 2024 Recap

This year's conference was one for the books! The conversation, empowerment, and worship that flowed over those two days was wonderful. Be on the lookout for the next conference in 2026!

  18. 37

Be Anxious for Nothing ( Don't Worry)

This life presents many unknowns. Sometimes the fear of those unknown things cause anxiety and worry. For some, that anxiousness is more gripping than others. However, let us remember that Jesus is with us and knows how we feel. Give that worry over to Him and let Him replace it with peace and joy. (Scripture Reading- Philippians 4:6-7 & II Corinthians 10:5)

  19. 36

    DAP Conference 2024

Make plans to join us for this year's Daughters Are Prophesying Empowerment Conference! It will be held on September 19th and 20th. Check out www.dap25.com for more information. (Scripture Reading- Joel 2:28 & Acts 2:16-17)

  20. 35

    Never Alone

In life we encounter some situations that can make us feel like we are all alone in the world. But our faithful God is always present. (Scripture Reading- Psalm 139)

  21. 34

    Speak the Truth

When people don't want to hear the truth, they sometimes go to great lengths to shut it down. Which often includes attempting to discredit the messenger. I encourage us all to know truth, live by it, and speak it boldly. (Scripture Reading- Amos 7:12-15)

  22. 33

    The Power of Encouragement

Have you ever found yourself "stuck in a rut?" Or maybe you feel as though you've hit a plateau and have trouble starting up again. I've experienced that feeling, but I thank God for a simple, yet powerful tool, encouragement. (Scripture Reading- Proverbs 12:25)

  23. 32

    Being Steadfast

In Psalm 51:10, David asks God not only to create a clean heart in him, but he also asks for a renewed, steadfast spirit. Like David, we should not only want a heart to love God and His people, but also a steadfast spirit to keep us strong, determined, and immovable. (Scripture Reading- Psalm 51:10)

  24. 31

    If Only

Have you ever thought to yourself, "if only I had this or that I would be happy." ? This type of thinking has gotten the best of us at times and caused some damage. But did you know that if we changed the focus of our thoughts we could create that happiness and fulfillment we seek? (Scripture Reading- Colossians 3:2)

  25. 30

    Breathe

Sometimes, even our daily repetitive tasks can be overwhelming. That's why we must take a step back and breathe. God will strengthen us but we have to allow Him to. And it can start by simply taking a breathe. (Scripture Reading - Isaiah 40:29)

  26. 29

    Knowledge and Wisdom is Power

We've all heard the phrase, "knowledge is power." While this is true, I believe that if we take inventory of our life decisions, we'll find that knowledge is most powerful when applied wisely. (Scripture Reading - Psalm 24)

  27. 28

    Help me, Lord!

If you are living this life, you will need some help. Sure, we want to do things on our own using our own abilities. However, we can not do it all without some help from time to time. And who better to help us than the Lord God Almighty. (Scripture Reading- Psalm 121:1 & Isaiah 41:10)

  28. 27

    Disagreeing Without Falling Out

As individuals, we will have differing opinions. This, however, should not cause us to argue with one another. Learning how to disagree in a peaceful way is a life skill that will save us from stress, frustration, and the loss of life sustaining connections with one another. (Scripture Reading - Romans 12:18)

  29. 26

    Pivoting

Even the best laid plans don't succeed sometimes. This is why learning how to pivot is important. Knowing how to adjust, modify, or change is vital to successful living. (Scripture Reading- Jeremiah 29:11)

  30. 25

    Waiting on the Lord

There are times when we must wait. From long lines in the grocery store to the hours spent in the doctor's office, we spend a lot of time waiting. Waiting, as we know, it means a long delay of action or movement until something else happens. Waiting on the Lord, however, requires a different approach. (Scripture Reading- Psalm 27:14)

  31. 24

    Practicing Gratitude

Being thankful takes practice. It seems as though it should come naturally, but that's not always the case. Reminding ourselves of just how blessed we are helps us to practice gratitude and to have hope even in bad times. (Scripture Reading- Psalm 92:1-2)

  32. 23

    A Special Gift

Receiving any kind of gift is great, but it hits differently when you receive a gift that you can tell much time, and attention was paid to make sure it was personalized just for you. Jesus is our special, personalized gift from God. His life produced the salvation needed to reconnect us to our Heavenly Father. My prayer is that you receive this special gift that keeps on giving, Jesus the Christ. (Scripture Reading- Ephesians 1:3-10)

  33. 22

    Let it Go

Romans chapter 8 explains, in detail, that there is nothing and no one that can separate us from God's love. However, we can hold on to some things that get in the way of our reception of His love. I encourage you to read these scriptures and allow them to give you hope. Also, allow them to give you the strength needed to release some things so that you can receive the transformational, everlasting love of our Heavenly Father. (Scripture Reading- Romans Ch. 8)

  34. 21

    Yeah, I'm Different

The more we walk on this path God has laid out for us, the less we fit into the world around us. As we allow our minds to be renewed, we shed conformity and begin standing out. My prayer is that we boldly follow Christ and not the crowd. (Scripture Reading- Romans 12:2)

  35. 20

    Failure, It Happens Sometimes

When presented with the option of success or failure, none of us consciously chooses to fail. However, we have failed and guess what we just might fail again in this life. Sometimes, the choices we make or the direction we choose lead us to failure of the mission. But knowing that there is almost nothing done that can’t be undone or recovered from is the motivation we use to get up and try, try again. (Scripture Reading-Psalm 145:15)

  36. 19

    All In Due Time

Having dreams and goals is necessary in this life. Aspiring to excel and grow is good. However, when those things are based solely on someone else’s timeline, where we are currently, it can seem "behind schedule." But know this, all things happen according to God's timing. When we measure our journey using God's measurement, we have the confidence to know that we are right on track. And that we will arrive at all of life's stops, in due time. (Scripture Reading - Ecclesiastes 3:1-14)

  37. 18

Reap What You Sow/ Measure for Measure

"You reap what you sow." We have grown up hearing this phrase. However, our concept of it is normally negative. In some verses, the context of its use is a warning to those that sow evil, but bad things aren't the only seeds we can sow. When we sow from our gifts, talents, and treasure, we reap an abundance of God's blessings in our lives. (Scripture Reading - 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 & Luke 6:36-42)

  38. 17

    Is My Work in Vain?

Work, work, work, work, work! It seems as if that is all we do, and it is exhausting... But at the end of the day, does our work matter? Did our efforts produce something meaningful, or was it all done in vain? (Scripture Reading - 1 Corinthians 10:31)

  39. 16

    The Comfort Zone

The “Comfort Zone” is a place that we all know well. We all dwell in it often. It’s the zone that we are most confident in. The kicker is that this is a place where we shouldn’t live exclusively. From time to time, we must step out of it in order to grow, learn, share, and see the good things that God has for us. (Scripture Reading: Ecclesiastes 3:1)

  40. 15

    Rest For Your Soul

Life is busy. It is filled with activities that never seem to end. We start our days early and end them late, stopping only because our bodies can not go anymore. We do not truly understand the damage this causes until it's too late. That's why we MUST rest. Rest is the essential element that builds the stamina we need to manage what life brings.

  41. 14

    How Do I Look ?

How we look physically is important to us, and nothing is wrong with that. However, how our words and deeds are perceived is of much greater importance. While navigating life, it is imperative that we try to act as the representatives Christ that we are, more often than not. It can be difficult, but putting our best foot forward is always worth the effort. (Scripture Reading- Colossians 3:17)

  42. 13

    Everything's Gonna Be Alright

We suffer many blows in this life. Situations crop up without warning, and it may look like there is no way that any good can come of it. But can I tell you a secret? I know that everything will be alright. God has assured us in His Word and proven through His actions that things will work out and we'll be alright. (Scripture Reading- Psalm 23)

  43. 12

    Fearfully & Wonderfully Made

We are all different, and that is a good thing! God made us to be unique. Each of us offers an array of characteristics, personalities, gifts, and talents. And all that we are is necessary to the world we live in. Of course, we have many similarities, but there is only one You. So choose to show up as You, Every. Single. Day. (Scripture Reading- Psalm 139)

  44. 11

    Walking Upright

In this day and age, operating dishonestly is not only easier but more acceptable. Telling the truth, dealing fairly, and just plain old "doing the right thing" almost doesn't exist. This is why we must practice "walking upright" while being an example of it as well. We must operate with integrity, even when lacking it seems to be in style. (Scripture Reading- Proverbs 21:3 & II Corinthians 8:21)

  45. 10

    The Purge

We've heard the phrase, "Cleanliness is next to Godliness." This isn't an actual Bible verse but a wise reminder that physical cleanliness and spiritual cleanliness go hand in hand. It is important that we cleanse and purge our lives often so that we are living it as God intended. (Scripture Reading-Psalm 51:10)

  46. 9

    The Supportive Role

We all need help. We can not do this thing called life alone. However, while we need support, we can not forget to provide support as well. Let's not be so caught up in our own needs that we forget to give. (Scripture Reading- Philippians 2:4)

  47. 8

Seeking God Early (Setting the Tone For the Day)

How we start the day is normally a good indicator of how the day will go. If it starts off rough, chances are it's gonna be downhill from there. But, seeking God BEFORE the day begins guarantees us that no matter what comes our way, we will have a good day! (Scripture Reading- Psalm 63)

  48. 7

    Pray One for Another

Thank God for the privilege of prayer. The peace and strength we receive through this communication with God is unmatched. However, we must not forget how important it is to pray for others. We never know when we have to be the godly connection someone else needs to handle this life. (Scripture Reading - Matthew 6:9-13; Romans 12:12)

  49. 6

    Compartmentalization

At any given moment, we could have a hundred things swirling about in our minds. It is exhausting to even think sometimes because there is so much to think about. But the same way we sort our laundry, or categorize our pantry, or plan a trip, we can bring order to our minds. (Scripture Reading - Isaiah 26:3 NKJV)

  50. 5

    Actually, words can hurt...

"Sticks and Stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me." This was an effective way for the adults in our lives to help us cope with the unkind words that the mean kids would say. As we age, however, we realize that words can hurt. Choose them carefully. (Scripture Reading- Proverbs 12:18 & Psalm 141:3)
