After a bit of an unplanned hiatus, I'm back to Millennial Rewind, and I’m covering Gilmore Girls Season 3, Episodes 5 and 6! Lorelai tries her luck with a new man she met at an auction, which turns out to be a VERY boring date. Meanwhile, Rory keeps bumping into Jess (literally!!) and their tension is off the charts. Over in Boston, Sherry ropes Lorelai into her baby shower, complete with weird bonding moments and way too many deviled eggs. This week on Millennial Rewind, I’m recapping Gilmore Girls Season 3, Episodes 3 and 4.  Move over Chad Michael Murry, Adam Brody is here and he is here to charm Lane into dying her hair purple (for a whole 30 minutes).  Rory's application process to Harvard isn't as smooth sailing as she thought, after the admission panel unintentionally suggested that everything she did up to that point is LAME and BORIIIINNNGGGG! Lorelai, Emily and Paris join her on the panic train too. Season 3 is here, and Gilmore Girls is already delivering drama in the best way. We made it to the Gilmore Girls season two finale! I’m covering episodes 21 and 22, and wow—these were a wild ride. Lorelai graduates business school (yay!), but Rory ditches the ceremony to sneak off to New York for a surprise visit to Jess… and misses everything. Meanwhile, Luke is not invited to Sookie’s wedding (rude!), Jess returns to town, and Rory seals the deal with a full-on kiss. Rory ends up in a car accident and Lorelai goes full mama bear, blames Jess for everything short of global warming, and basically kicks him out of town with her rage alone. Goodbye, Jess. You were too punk for Stars Hollow. Meanwhile, Rory’s the town’s golden child, so obviously nothing could’ve been her fault. Dean returns just in time to read Rory’s “So I Crashed the Car With Jess” letter, and he’s chill? I'm talking about two episodes of Gilmore Girls this time—season two, episodes 17 and 18! Luke’s uncle dies and Lorelai basically takes over the diner while Luke plans a funeral that literally no one attends. Emily gives Sookie a lavish wedding fever, and Rory’s group project accidentally pulls Richard Gilmore out of retirement. Meanwhile, Dean is out here leaving 14 voicemails in two hours (!!) and by the end, even he knows: she likes Jess, doesn’t she? Rory loses her bracelet from Dean (spoiler: Jess had it), Lorelai calls him out, and Luke decides to just buy his whole building and knock down walls—no big deal. Meanwhile, Lorelai and Emily try a spa weekend that ends with stolen robes, a silver fox, and some very awkward mother-daughter bonding. Plus, Rory’s solo night turns into a full-blown showdown when Paris, Jess, and Dean all show up. This week on Millennial Rewind, I'm diving into two very eventful episodes of Gilmore Girls—season two, episodes 13 and 14! First up, the iconic Stars Hollow basket auction leads to chaos. Jess dramatically outbids Dean for Rory’s basket (for the equivalent of $168!), and emotions run high. Meanwhile, Jackson fails to buy Sookie’s basket, leading to a petty (and pricey) fallout that somehow ends in a surprise marriage proposal.  Then in episode 14, Christopher shows up for Rory’s debate… with his new girlfriend, Sherry, in tow. Sherry’s eager to bond with Rory, leading to a surprise girls’ night—and a very frosty Friday night dinner where Emily loses it and tells Lorelai, “It should have been you.” Things hit a boiling point when Lorelai finally admits she’s always held out hope for a future with Christopher—but now that she’s seen him move on, she’s ready to let go. Meanwhile, Paris goes full investigative journalist, Lane becomes a cheerleader, and Jess continues his sneaky charm offensive. Meanwhile, the Bracebridge Dinner turns into a cozy snowstorm sleepover, Jess crashes Rory's sleigh ride, and next we know someone knocks over the best snowman so Rory and Lorelai can win. Rory gets pulled into Chilton’s social politics when she unintentionally impresses the secret sorority, the Puffs, and helps Paris finally get accepted—only for it to blow up in their faces during a wild middle-of-the-night initiation gone wrong. Lorelai tries to play the Chilton mom game and ropes Emily into a fashion show that surprisingly brings them a rare moment of bonding. Meanwhile, Lorelai and Sookie's dream of opening their own inn hits a snag when the property they want is off-limits. Jess continues to stir things up in Stars Hollow with a prank that causes town-wide frenzy and makes Luke the target of a heated town meeting. This week, I’m covering two episodes of Gilmore Girls—season two, episodes five and six! Episode five marks the arrival of Jess (aka Dale in my head), Luke’s rebellious nephew, and he’s all bad boy vibes—cigarettes, stolen books, and moody stares—and Lorelai’s dinner invite doesn’t quite smooth things over. Meanwhile, Rory is navigating awkward tension with Mr. Medina at school and accidentally ends up assigned to interview him for the school paper (thanks, Paris). Then in episode six, Rory is coming out... to high society and is presented at the Daughters of the American Revolution debutante ball. Christopher shows up for a change for his fatherly duties —only to leave Lorelai hanging with the bombshell that he has a girlfriend. Lorelai's big day is two weeks away and nothing seems to be planned—because deep down, she knows something’s off. Max moves in for a trial run, but instead of playing house, Lorelai starts unraveling. A chaotic bachelorette party leads to a very questionable call to Christopher(!!), and before we know it, she’s skipping town with Rory on a road trip to Harvard. By the end, Lorelai ditches the wedding and sets her sights on a new dream: opening an inn with Sookie. Max? Who knows. Closure? I’m covering the first two episodes of Gilmore Girls season two—and we’re kicking things off right after the thousand daisies proposal, and a whirlwind of gossip, secrets, and surprise parties. Lorelai is engaged to Max, but somehow the entire town finds out before her Luke, Sookie and her parents.  Meanwhile, Rory is discovering she might be way behind on those Harvard-boosting extracurriculars. Dean’s back in the picture, but things get rocky fast when he doesn’t love playing second fiddle to Ivy League ambitions. And speaking of tension, Richard's dinner table interrogation of Dean reaches full meltdown mode, leaving everyone reeling—especially Rory. It's season finale! I’m covering Gilmore Girls season 1 episodes 20 and 21! While still wallowing over Dean, Rory decided she had enough of everyone's protection and runs away, to her grandparents house. Rachel says her (final?) goodbye to Luke after telling him he loves Lorelai.  As the season wraps, romantic gestures go grand, with a thousand yellow daisies and dramatic schoolyard reconciliation.
