Who Belongs to Whom?
In this episode, Pastors Brewer and Cogbill discuss the difficult and controversial topic of intimacy between spouses in marriage. 1 Corinthians 7 is often misused and misapplied with disastrous effects, so our pastors are here to help us read and understand what Paul is and definitely isn't talking about as it pertains to how each spouse is called to love the other, particularly in the marriage bed. Any and every moment of intimacy between spouses should be consensual. For one spouse to use either of these verses to coerce or guilt or manipulate the other spouse into having sex is to completely go against the meaning of the text and God's design for marriage. No spouse is permitted to use guilt, power, money, or any form of coercive control to force their spouse to have sex with them. If your spouse is using sex in any way that you're not comfortable with, please see an elder so we can take the necessary steps to help make sure you're safe. Parents, this episode contains mature content, so you may want to use discretion as to when, where, and who is around when you listen.

Unity and Diversity in the Church, pt. 1
In this episode, Pastors Brewer and Cogbill discuss the topic of unity and diversity in the capital C Church. Two ditches people can fall into are 1) Every doctrine is an essential doctrine and 2) doctrine divides, so we shouldn't voice our disagreements. Pastor Brewer and Cogbill discuss how neither approach is right or even good; rather we can look at Church history for the essentials, maintain that some non-essential doctrines are still very important, and that pursuing Christian unity requires understanding the principle of unity and diversity.
