    EP 15 - On Criticism...

It’s been a minute since our last sit-down, but I’m back with some gist for you! I’m thinking of criticism and I thought to share my reflections with you (as usual)…In this episode, I share a story about my son, a random comment from a stranger, and so on (I guess you’ll have to listen to find out right?)I’m wondering, why does negative words tend to stick morethan affirmations? and how important it is to know who you are - deeply and truly - so no random “needle” can burst your balloon. This is for anyone who’s ever replayed a careless comment intheir head or started doubting themselves because of someone else’s words.Let’s unpack why criticism hits so hard, when to actually listen to it, and when to throw it in the trash.Stay with me, laugh with me, and hopefully walk away with areminder that your worth is not up for debate.I’d love to hear your thoughts — whether you agree, disagree, or have more light to share. Drop a comment, leave a review, and share this episode withsomeone who needs it. Want to Connect?Find everything HEREOr connect with me on Social Media

EP 14 - Two Are Better Than One! Until They’re Not...

This is one of those episodes that might get on your nerves so proceed with caution...This one is for everyone who’s married or hoping to be. Youknow that scripture we love to quote at weddings — “Two are better than one”?Well… what happens when both of you fall?In this episode of Music and Muse, I’m reflecting on what it truly means to help one another in marriage — not justemotionally, but spiritually. Because sometimes the real help isn't in taking your spouse's side, but in standing on the Lord’s side. I share real moments from my own marriage, where grace showed up through truth, and love looked like correction — not coddling. If you're single, married, or in a serious relationship, this one’s for you. Let’s talk about the kind of love that confronts gently, the kind that helps each other grow into Christ, and the kind that doesn’t just support your emotions, but supports your eternity. And yes don’t forget the music. The song for this episode is“It’s All About You Jesus” by Paul Oakley because in the end, it really is.I’d love to hear your thoughts — whether you agree, disagree, or have more light to share. EP 13 - Where Are Your Fingerprints?

This week’s episode is a deeply personal one. It’s been 7 years since my older sister passed on to be withthe Lord, and about 2 weeks ago I sat through another funeral that made me pause. I found myself asking: What will truly matter when our time here is done?I guess that’s why scripture says, “It’s better to go to the house of mourning than to the house of feasting.” (Ecclesiastes 7:2)In this episode, I’m sharing some raw thoughts on realimpact, not just the kind that trends, not the kind that’s showy, but the kind that stays and follows through. The kind that leaves fingerprints on people’s hearts. The kind that helps someone heal, grow, and become.Seven years after my sister passed, her life and impactare still so obviously felt. Everywhere I look, I see a life she touched.I’m literally living in the advantage of some of the ‘deaths’ she died, sacrificesshe made just to make sure I got it right. And it’s not just me, countlesslives! And then I sat in that funeral and heard stories of someonewho consistently sought the best for others, taking care of people even while she was ill, and living a life that simply overflowed with love without necessarily getting any credits for it!It made me realize again how easy it is to be visible these days, but not truly involved.Let’s talk about what it means to get your hands dirty, towalk with people through process, to be remembered not just for your platform, but for your presence.I’d love to hear what this stirs in you, especially if you have a different view, or deeper insights. Please leave a comment, a review, and share if it resonates. Want to Connect?Find everything HEREOr connect with me on Social Media

EP 12 - Not Just Vibes; Choose Your Tribe Wisely!

We say your network is your net worth, but is it?What if that network of yours is quietly pulling you away from who you really want to be?In this episode of Music and Muse, I share a personal (and kind of funny) story about how I went from detesting a drink to craving it just by being around someone who liked it. It’s not really about the drink, though. It’s about influence. About how the people in your circle slowly shape your habits, your values, and even your future. The fearful thing is that sometimes, it's without you even noticing!Whether it’s who you call “friend” or who you casually spend time with, your company is never neutral. They’re either helping you grow or gently chipping away at your convictions.Let’s talk about community, accountability, and the power of walking with the right people. And if you're wondering whether your circle is lifting you up or dragging you down, this one’s for you.Plus, on the Music Corner, I recommend "Tare" by the incredible Kaestrings —a beautiful reminder of togetherness but this time, being in the greatest company ever! The company of Jesus!Tune in on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, or Amazon Music.Don’t forget to subscribe, rate, and share! 💛Want to Connect?Find everything HEREOr connect with me on Social Media

EP 11 - The Truth About My Pause — maybe Yours Too!

When There's No Will, There's a "Reason" 😂Let’s be real — we all have those moments when it’s just easier to give a “reason” (I mean, excuse 🙄) than to actually do the thing. Action takes effort. It’s uncomfortable. It means breaking out of our rhythm, disrupting our comfort, and putting in work. And honestly? That’s not always easy.In this episode of Music and Muse, I’m opening up about the little break I took from releasing episodes. I talk about what really happened behind the scenes, the reasons I told myself, and what I’ve come to realize about excuses and the stories we tell when motivation is low. Spoiler alert: nothing grows without action. Nothing changes unless we move.Yes, it’s true; when there’s a will, there’s a way. But when there’s no will? Oh, we find a really good reason instead 😂So grab your tea, tune in, and let’s chat. Don’t forget to subscribe, drop a comment, and share with someone who might need a gentle nudge today. 💛

EP 10 - God's Choice or My Spec? (Who Should I marry?)

So, on this episode of Music and Muse, I discuss "Who should I marry?". This question has 1 million branches.. lol But I'm specifically interested in the branch that says 'What if I don't like God's will for me? As in the spouse/life partner God wants for me?" PS. I personally believe that God has a blueprint for our lives, He has carefully planned it out and that includes who we should pair up with on this pilgrimage (marry) to achieve His purpose for the earth. So, yes, what if I don't like the person? Listen to this episode to hear what I think about this. Your comments are very welcome, I love to know what you think. And if this made any sense to you, pleaaasseee follow, like and share with others! Thank you.

EP 9 - This Is Why Church Girls Experience Heartbreak

Hi Guys! Welcome to another episode of Music and Muse with Philippa! On today's episode, I share with you what is, in my opinion, a key reason why church girls get their hearts broken by so-called 'church boys'. I know that there are severaaaaal reasons why this may occur but this is one key factor that I strongly believe will make a big difference if my sisters would pay attention to it. I truly hope that this would help a sister out there to not have to go through this unnecessary pain... So please, share with a Church Girl in your life. Also, please like and leave a comment if you found this relevant or you have a contrary opinion. Follow and share too! Thanks.

EP 8 - Your Life Will Not Get Easier! Here's why

Ever heard the term 'softlife'? If you haven't, the term is used to describe living a life of comfort and low stress. It seems to me that everyone in my generation is looking for 'softlife' at all costs... Well, the world can do it, but not you dear believer! God never called us to a life of comfort and convenience. Infact, I do not believe that any one can actually grow in comfort - it's the stretch that shows us how much capacity we have and how much we can attain. Here's my opinion on this and what I've seen play out all my life. Please watch and let me know what your experience and thoughts are in the comments! Also, please follow and share!

EP4 - Why Trust God? (Should God be trusted?

Hey there! Welcome to Music and Muse! Today I discuss a topic I believe is at the core of the Christian faith and that is "Trusting God". Trusting that He won't fail us, trusting that He knows what's best! We've had our hearts broken so many times, we've gotten used to being disappointed and sometimes we feel that it's just a matter of time, God too, like all others have, will fail us. I've had some things happen in my life that encouraged me to trust God and today I share that with you. Yes, God can be trusted... Listen to why on this episode of Music and Muse. EP3 - I Can't Wait! Or Can You?

"I can't wait" is a very popular phrase. One that you've made and I've made. Most times, as a careless statement. But sometimes, it's a statement made from a deeper place - a place of desires and wishes. Well, I personally think a certain way of the phrase - maybe because I know why I say it when I do use the phrase. Plus, I believe that the phrase has some underlying effects that we probably don't pay attention to. So listen to today's episode of Music and Muse and let me know if you agree or not.
