    Early Morning Musings 14/30

A nod to my old Daily Voice audio nuggets for this episode: A walk outside Weather report Appreciation to each one of you participating in this year’s challenge. Hear more from the 2025 NaPodPoMo podcasters by listening to the NaPodPoMo MEGA Feed.

  2. 39

    What’s Important? 13/30

Working on a client project has me pondering the difference or alignment between what I say is important and what my calendar proves is important. Are they one in the same or completely different?

  3. 38

    What Equals Success? 12/30

How do you define success? Specifically what equals success for your NaPodPoMo podcast? Is it follower count? What about brand awareness? Could it be just the personal satisfaction of getting your mission and message out to the world? It totally could be. Only you get to decide what equals success and that can change over time. This podcast is part of the National Podcast Post Month 30-day podcasting marathon.

  4. 37

    Moon Base Alpha 11/30

In this episode, we return to the Todd Cochrane interview conducted in September 2024 for National Podcast Post Month. We hear from Todd as he shares his strategies for attracting audiences to his website. The episode highlights Todd’s experience in painting his extensive content library over 20 years, and the necessity of having your own domain for brand longevity, especially in the evolving digital landscape influenced by AI.

  5. 36

    Why Are YOU Podcasting? 10/30

There are as many reason to podcast as there are people podcasting. So why are YOU podcasting? What is the reason you sit in front of a microphone, hit record, and share it with the world? Your reason doesn’t have to be anyone else’s reason. Your reason could be just because you can. It could be because it brings you joy. It could be because you enjoy the community that has developed. Or the people that you never would have met were it not for being a podcaster. The best part about podcasting is that it is all things to all people. One persons reason is perfectly valid as is yours. They do not have to be the same. Each person gets to define success in their own unique way. That’s just one of so many things that makes podcasting awesome.

**RANT** No One Can Stop You

Reading ridiculous headlines that are meant to divide podcasters instead of bringing them together causes Jennifer to let loose on a news story making the rounds in the podcast industry. TL;DR The reality is that RSS = Freedom which means there is no one that can stop anyone from podcasting.

  7. 34

The Power and Burden of Ownership 8/30

In this episode, we hear a new interview segment from 2024 where Jennifer and Todd talk about ownership. They share reasons why podcasters and content creators should be mindful of building their brand solely on third-party social media platforms. Todd gives a real-life example of this happening, and Jennifer shares an analogy about the difference between being a homeowner and renter. The reality is that control of your content and brand matters now more than ever.

  8. 33

    There Wasn’t Always Social 7/30

In this episode, we hear the late Todd Cochrane and Jennifer Navarrete reminisce about what podcasting and online connection looked like before social media dominated the internet.

  9. 32

    Podcast Your Why 6/30

In this episode, I dive into a quote I heard listening to The Flow: “Every business should have a podcast because it will help you get clear on the why of your business.” This hit me like a bolt of lightning. The reality is that what may seem clear to us about our business or purpose, may not be clear at all. However, a regular podcast allows us the opportunity to express our why over and over again on a regular and consistent basis. I would also add to this that I believe creating content in multiple ways is another way to expand the opportunity for our message to be heard. Some folks prefer to read, others to listen, and others to view and why would we ever want to limit who can receive our message by limiting how we present it to the world. We’re approaching the mid-way point of NaPodPoMo. It’s time to lean in and press forward.

  10. 31

    Finding Your Community Through Podcasting

In this episode, Jennifer shares the significance of origin stories in podcasting with an emphasis on their potential to resonate with new listeners and grow community. This episode is meant to encourage podcast creators to embrace their unique stories, persistently share their message, and focus on impactful engagement rather than just numbers. The reality is that every episode is a love letter to yourself and the world.

  11. 30

    Origin Stories Featuring Todd Cochrane

Join Jennifer as she shares a never before released interview clip with the late Todd Cochrane recorded in 2024 for National Podcast Post Month. In this clip, Todd shares his podcast origin story behind how he got started in podcasting and it all started during a hot summer in Texas.

  12. 29

Do You Know What Are You Known For? 3/30

”The simple fact now that you have to have a religion on what people love you for, and we have to know our brand and we have to know our people or our tribe. If we don’t, when AI reduces search to a few, a few results, we could be eliminated unless we know what people love and build upon that.” – Todd Cochrane In this episode we take a look at the foundational concept of knowing why we do what we do, who we do it for, and being known for doing it. This NaPodPoMo, I thank each and every one of you for being part of National Podcast Post Month. You are my people, my tribe, my community and I am grateful for this time of year when we get to spend an intense month of time on an audio adventure.

    Ownership Defined 8/30

In today’s digital landscape, understanding content ownership is crucial for podcasters and content creators in general. But what does ownership really mean in the digital space. In this episode we examine the difference between creating content on platforms you own vs. “rented land” like traditional social media platforms. Exploring the Four Levels of Podcasting 5/30

Ready to start your podcasting journey but unsure about the equipment you’ll need to get started? Good news, you probably already have everything you need right in your pocket! In this episode we’ll explore the four levels of podcast production, proving that quality content can be created at any level. Level 1: Mobile + Apps: All you need is your mobile phone and a recording app. Level 2: USB Mic + Computer/Laptop: Unless you are live-streaming your podcast, this level introduces you to the art of audio editing software and post-production. Level 3: A dedicated studio space represents a serious commitment to podcasting. Level 4: Working with a podcast producer allows you to focus on your content while leaving the technical aspects to professionals. This is a good option for busy entrepreneurs and business professionals. Whichever option you choose, remember the goal is to share your message with the world. The level of podcasting you choose should support that goal and not hinder it.
