Keep HOPE Alive - Part II

In this podcast discussion, Keeping Hope Alive, Dwana Carl, Christian Life Coach, challenges those of us who struggle to place our hope in God. Often, we are deterred by placing hope in our jobs, talents, relationships and resources rather than placing our hope in God. Dwana and Co Host Lisa Johnson from Hey Ms. Lisa podcast, explore parallels found in the book of Habakkuk. In this historical account found in the Holy Bible, we find this prophet inquiring of the Lord about the circumstances that the people of Isreal found themselves. With their five senses there seemed to be no hope in sight. Often this is how it may seem to many of us when the odds are stacked against us. Yet, God makes a promise to them and to us, that there is a light at the end of every tunnel when we place our hope in him. This discussion on Keeping Hope Alive will inspire you to not look around or within but up to the one who will save, deliver and restore just as he has promised. “Oiwuri She Encourages” mission is to inspire and teach believers in Jesus Christ to move forward in life. Focusing on bridging the gap through the application of scripture and the balance of sound mental health practices.

Prayer - A Trip Back to the Garden - Episode 1

In episode one of our discussions "Prayer - A Trip Back to the Garden", we share that to commune with God is where we begin the journey. The Garden of Eden is the place where time began as we know it. Gen 2:8,9 says that “Then the Lord God planted a garden in Eden in the east, and there he placed the man he had made. The Lord God made all sorts of trees grow up from the ground—trees that were beautiful and that produced delicious fruit. In the middle of the garden, he placed the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.” Lisa, from Hey Ms. Lisa podcast, joins me as we share truths found in Genesis chapter 2 and 3. In these chapters God provided insight, that although it is foundational, seemed so fresh and new, as we reflected on the value of prayer and its necessity in our lives.

    Oiwuri’s Mindful Minute - Control

We often feel that if we can control our lives, if we could initiate the proverbial blowout, somehow we would be more secure, happy and at peace. But, the truth is we can only respond to life as it comes. How we respond determines outcomes of peace and hope or fear or despair.
