Building a Storm Shelter for your Soul

Building a Storm Shelter for your SoulIn episode 24 we will use an illustration of how some U.S. Gulf South locals stubbornly, although maybe considered foolish, will "ride out" a hurricane by sheltering in place. This illustrated is used to show how being confident is a requirement to face life storms, not whether they are physical or spiritual. Building confidence in believers that may be afraid of life's storms is where we see in Mark's Gospel when the disciples faced a natural storm and Jesus calmed the storm as means of the disciplines witnessing the Lord's power. Therefore, could it be that a believer’s time of crisis is a process that the Lord initiates to bring into existence a means to demonstrate His power to you, and thus giving you an opportunity to learn more about Him. And so thereby, we can build a “Storm Shelter” for our soul through faith, your faith being strengthen through your previous experiences of deliverance. Furthermore, there is no other more intimate experience that will make you spiritually confident then being up and close to a terrible storm, including also being close to total disaster, and then having the Lord rescue you miraculously at the last minute. Thanks for listening. Praying For The Heavenly Father's Will To Be Done

This episode focuses on aiding the believer's prayer life by placing God's Will as a top priority. However, why is this important. It is important because as sinful beings, we often focus on self-gratification, but the gospels urge believers to align their purpose with God's will. Jesus instructs followers to prioritize the Heavenly Father's will in prayer. This emphasizes that a Christian's conversation with God should center on this. This approach encourages reliance on God's wisdom, as demonstrated by Jesus' acceptance of suffering before His crucifixion. And finally it is important to understand that reflecting on past instances where we embraced God's will, especially during hardships, can strengthen our resolve for future challenges. If you have enjoyed the episode then please follow and share it with a friend. Thanks for listening. Living Out James: Concern For America's Poor

This episode is based on how as Christians in America, we live in abundance, yet poverty persists amidst wealth. The contrast between material richness and the growing number of impoverished individuals highlights a spiritual maturity issue among believers. Many ignore the plight of the poor, contradicting Christian ethics. The Book of James addresses this by condemning favoritism based on wealth and emphasizing love for neighbors through the rightful treatment of the poor. Praying for the poor aligns Christians with God's perspective, fostering humility and compassion, as “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:6, ESV).If this you have enjoyed this episode then please follow and share it when a friend. Thanks for listening. A Life Lesson From Rahab The Harlot | Insights From Joshua 2:8-21, Hebrews 11:31

In episode 7 we will discuss just who was Rahab The Harlot. Also explored is the great life principle that is found in Rahab’s speech to the Hebrew spies, the audience is made aware of a woman who had spiritual discernment, see Joshua 2:9–11. Rahab’s faith in the God of Israel propelled her to assist the Hebrew spies in Ancient Israel’s Battle for Jericho, despite being a gentile foreigner this is a great lesson of faith for modern people of all backgrounds to adhere too. That hat is despite your past or your current behaviors you can still draw near to God through Christ. If an ancient prostitute can place her faith in Him then surely you can too. Rahab did not let her past sins or lifestyle stop her from believing in God, therefore no matter your past behavior you can still place your faith in God, serve him, and be saved. Do You Wish To Understand Society's Complex Issues? | To Obtain Wisdom | Insights From Proverbs 1:1-7

If you seek to understand the concept of justice, the fair and equitable treatment of individuals in society, if you wish to be regarded as wise, if you wish to solve or have an answer for society's complex issues, then first it is essential to seek a wise teacher. However, before any teaching can occur, a respectful learning environment must be established, one rooted in trust. This foundation must be laid before delving into the subject matter, beginning with a point where trust and respect for the teacher are cultivated in the heart and mind of the student.Seems easy to understand, right? Now, replace the word ‘teacher’ with God. This is where the difficulty with mankind begins, replacing the Word teacher with God. This is because seeking wisdom from anywhere and any person but God is preferential to Mankind’s sinful condition. Therefore, in this Episode we will discuss key insights from Proverbs 1:1-7 and talk about why we should seek wisdom from a relationship with God. Before You Judge A City Like Las Vegas, Miami, Dubai Or New York; Listen To This | A Life Lesson From Acts 18:9-11

A Cosmopolitan city filled with all sorts of vice, sporting events, beach front resorts, concerts, great riches, sensual immoral behavior, rough seaman and sailors, pagan worship and prostitution of every kind is not the type of city that on the surface where you would think is filled with the God's People. However, the Ancient City of Corinth is just this type of city where God's people were located, and Paul was sent there by God and told to fish them out and capture them for the Kingdom of God. This is a vivid example of why you, as Believer in Christ, cannot prejudge a city, a town, or community, or neighborhood as non redeemable. If you see a part of town that is rough or extremely liberal in the social sense then do not prejudge that the people that live in that area will be unresponsive towards the Gospel of Christ. In this episode we will briefly discuss why God sent Paul into a sensual and Cosmo type of city like Corinth.
