Orbital Nonsense - A Space Magic Podcast

Welcome to the outer rim of the zodiac, where queer chaos meets cosmic insight. Each episode, Veda asks spontaneous, often ridiculous, sometimes disturbingly profound astrology question at Lily, who then tries to answer it on the spot. Cold open. No prep. Pure space magic. We're talking real astrology, filtered through a feminist, neurodivergent, queer-as-hell lens, with plenty of laughter, tangents, cursing, and occasional existential dread.

Episode 12: Healing from trauma, Hypatia & The Furies

In this episode, we explore how trauma healing can show up in astrological transits, and how longer cycles can reflect processes of integration, recovery, and deep personal change. We talk about the saturn half return and the 6th house/12th house axis once more. From there, we turn to asteroid astrology and history, diving into Hypatia, her life, her legacy, and what her asteroid can symbolize in a birth chart. We then call in the Furies, examining their asteroid and how themes of righteous anger, justice, and protection can manifest astrologically.

Episode 11: Energy healing recap, Rest, Trauma & Abuse

In this episode, we circle back to our recent bonus episode on energy healing. From there, we move into gentler cosmic territory: how you can use a birth chart and transits to recognize when you need more rest, and what rest actually looks like for you on a personal, embodied level. A big part of this conversation lives at the intersection of astrology, trauma, and healing, how the nervous system speaks through the chart, and how timing can support recovery instead of pushing productivity. We close with a careful, necessary discussion about ethics: whether, when, and under what circumstances it’s okay to look at the chart of someone who has hurt you, including abusive people, and what responsibility astrologers have when navigating that territory.

Episode 10: Sexuality, Life Purpose & How To Spoil Yourself

In this episode, we dive straight into the glittery deep end: how sexuality, especially any form of queerness, can show up in a birth chart. From there, we wander into the existential: how to find your personal meaning or life’s purpose through key chart placements. Then we pivot (dramatically, as always) to the question of luxury. Not the generic kind — your personal kind of luxury. The astrology of what feels indulgent, comforting, decadent, or soul-feeding, whether that’s silk sheets, silence, or a very specific queer café aesthetic. And for reasons unknown to science or the stars, this episode is absolutely riddled with tangents. We chase them all. Gleefully.

Episode 9 - Phobias, Family Charts & Themes of the Year

In this episode, Veda opens with a deceptively simple question: How do phobias manifest in a birth chart? From there, we tumble into the cosmic genetics of family charts, why relatives often share strikingly similar placements, sometimes across multiple generations. Lily gives a quick crash course on what an ephemeris actually is and how astrologers use it, and then we dig into the big one: how to figure out the major theme of your next year (or any longer stretch of time) using astrology. And, naturally, we end with Veda calling Lily out for reading their recommended book at glacial speed… and Lily attempting to defend herself.

Episode 8 - A Deep Dive into Business Charts

In this episode, we turn the astrological lens on ourselves. Or rather, on our podcast’s TikTok account. Yep, even social media has a birth chart! We break down how to read charts for businesses and projects, using our own as a living example. From branding energy to viral potential, we explore what the stars say about online presence, creative direction, and a little bit of internet chaos.

Episode 7 - A Deep Dive Into The MFC`s Birth Chart

In this episode, we dive deep into the astrological birth chart of a fictional character from Veda’s novel, blending the art of astrology with the craft of storytelling. We explore how planetary placements, family history, and ancestral trauma shape both narrative and personality, revealing the uncanny ways fiction mirrors the stars. As we walk through the chart, we reflect on the tension between logic and intuition, science and magic, and how trauma and healing are written in both life and fiction. This isn’t just a reading, it’s a journey into the heart of character creation, the power of matriarchal lines, and the mysteries of fate.

Episode 6 - Language study, chronic illness & toxic people

This episode starts with a very Veda question: why are they obsessed with learning new languages, but terrible at sticking to them? We dig into how language learning styles show up astrologically, and what their chart says about motivation, memory, and chaos. Then we shift into astro-health mode: how can you track transits to understand flare-ups and fluctuations in chronic illness? Finally, we compare the charts of a toxic person and a healed one, exploring how some placements can manifest as disaster or growth depending on one’s level of self-awareness. Somewhat educational, slightly unhinged, as always.

Episode 5 - With Special Guest Alyssa, the Musical Medium

This week we’re joined by our friend Alyssa, aka the Musical Medium, who brings the kind of questions only she could ask. Why do men get obsessed with her so fast? Can you spot a serial killer in a birth chart (and should you even try)? We also dig into how ADHD can show up astrologically, before turning to the big relational question: how do you know if you’ll actually get along with someone? Expect laughter, side-eye, and a healthy dose of cosmic chaos.

Episode 4 - A Deep Dive into the Muses

In this episode, we call on the Muses — literally. Each of the nine Greek Muses has an asteroid, and we dive deep into their myth, their magic, and where they show up in Veda’s chart. Then we turn the spotlight on our friendship, tracing how the Muses weave through our synastry and what that says about inspiration, creativity, and cosmic partnership. Mythology meets astrology, with plenty of queer chaos in between.

Episode 3 - House systems, Clickbait & Asexuality

This week, we tackle the great cosmic real estate debate: house systems. Why do we use Placidus, and what does it even mean for your chart? Then we wander into the chaotic universe of astrology on social media. Spoiler: a lot of it is clickbait with only a sprinkle of real stardust. Finally, we ask the eternal question: is Veda asexual, or just perpetually tired?

  12. 3

Episode 2 - Music & Trauma, Edward Cullen`s birth chart, and personal style

In this episode, we spiral through cosmic playlists and personal wounds, asking what astrology has to say music and trauma. We detour into Edward Cullen`s birth chart (as you do), and then explore how personal style shows up in a chart. Gay, nerdy, a little unhinged: exactly what you came here for.

  13. 2

Episode 1 - Predicting unpredictable visits, comp het, and protection

In this episode, we dive into the unpredictable: how astrology can (or can't) help us anticipate those surprise visits from friends, what compulsory heterosexuality looks like in a chart, and how to tell where we need protection. A mix of cosmic detective work, queer insight, and a touch of witchcraft.
