    Pete Portal

    Tonight Pete Portal shares some of his story. Pete and his wife Sarah live in Manenberg, Cape Town. He is part of leading Tree of Life, a church in Manenberg dedicated to serving the community by living out Jesus’ love through family. He is also part of the National team for 24-7 Prayer South Africa, and spends much of his time growing relationships and networks across racial and socio-econonic divides. Pete and Sarah live with young men coming out of gangsterism and drug addiction and, along with a team of friends, disciple and re-parent these young men into faith, freedom and wholeness. Pete spends most of his time trying to work out how to balance intensity with rest, combine compassion with fun, and bring big picture vision back to embodied kindness.

    Encounter Night - Mike Andrea

    Tonight Mike Andrea shares his heart with us. Mike is the leader of Glo, married to Stella, with two children. Mike started out by planting The Pipeline Youth Initiative and innovates many of the projects they now deliver in their community and beyond. Believing in a gospel of salvation and transformation Mike was part of founding Glo, Lark in the Park in Thanet, Aspire and the Aspiration Centre. He loves seeing people discover their God given destiny and adventure and spends most of his time working with teams developing the life of Glo. Mike is also part of the 24-7 Prayer oversight team and The Big Church Day Out board as well as working with a variety of authorities and community transformation organisations.

    Patrick Regan

    Patrick Regan, OBE, is the CEO of a new charity, Kintsugi Hope, which exists to create safe and supportive spaces for people suffering with mental and emotional health issues. He is also the founder and president of urban youth work charity XLP. Patrick has travelled to over thirty countries working with and on behalf of the poorest communities and is a regular contributor on radio and TV on issues of poverty and justice. He received the Mayor of London Peace Award for his valuable contribution towards peace and justice. He is an Honorary Fellow of South Bank University for his contribution to peace, justice and wellbeing, a Fellow of the Centre for Social Justice and UK ambassador for Compassion. This morning he shares on the whole area of mental health.
