Overcoming Trauma | Christian Women That Have Trauma and Looking for Answers

Trauma opens the door to many—spiritual things like fear, anxiety, and panic attacks. Most podcasts teach how to manage these symptoms and don’t solve the problem.Hi friend, my name is Melania Macias, but you can call me Coach Mel; it’s easier. =) I am the wife of a wonderful husband of 17 years, a mom to two beautiful children, and a lover of God and the Word of God. I’ve been coaching for nearly a decade, helping women understand the spiritual effects of trauma. Now, the Lord has called me to help parents help their children who have gone through trauma. My authority in this arena came from being neglected as a child by my parents, mentally abused, and molested. The Lord took me on a learning journey. Because the trauma in my childhood brought on severe anxiety, fear, and panic attacks in my adult life, the Lord began revealing that this was more spiritual, and I had become oppressed by demons that were causing these things. I then started learning how to break free. Now I teach o

The Epidemic of Loneliness and the Demonic Trio Behind it: Irrational Anxiety, Panic, and Fear

Loneliness is no longer just an emotional struggle; it has become a spiritual battleground. In this episode, we expose what I call the demonic trio: irrational anxiety, fear, and panic—and how these spirits work together to isolate you, torment your mind, and keep you trapped in cycles of loneliness and withdrawal. If you struggle with anxiety that doesn’t make sense, fear that feels overwhelming, or panic attacks that seem to come out of nowhere, this episode is for you. We’ll talk about how these spirits often enter early in life, sometimes through childhood trauma, sometimes later through adult experiences, and how they gradually build mental strongholds over time. You’ll learn why many people around you may not understand what you’re going through, why isolation becomes a coping mechanism, and how the enemy uses lies to gain legal ground in the mind. I also share my personal testimony of overcoming this trio after more than a decade of torment, and why freedom is possible, even if the journey includes layers of healing and sanctification. In this episode, we cover: How anxiety often enters first and opens the door to fear and panic Why loneliness fuels anxiety and panic, and how isolation becomes a trap The difference between spirit, soul, and body, and why the mind is a battlefield How Scripture breaks mental strongholds Why identity in Christ is key to lasting freedom Practical, biblical steps toward healing and deliverance This conversation is not meant to glorify darkness but to bring truth, light, and hope. You are not weak. You are not broken. And you are not alone. You’ll also hear how to join my FREE off-social-media community, where I teach live, share resources, and walk alongside women seeking healing and freedom.                                 Join HERE: The Breakthrough Room Disclaimer: I am not a doctor, therapist, or psychiatrist. Spiritual Warfare: A Personal Encounter

In this episode of Overcoming Trauma, Christian Trauma Recovery Strategist Mel shares a deeply personal and eye-opening experience that reveals the often unseen spiritual realities we face as believers. This is not a conversation meant to glorify darkness, but to bring light, discernment, and awareness to the spiritual battles that Scripture tells us are real. Drawing from Ephesians 6:12, Mel walks listeners through a true story that unfolded during a family trip, highlighting how spiritual opposition can manifest through atmospheres, dreams, and subtle disruptions, especially when there is a calling on your life. Through Biblical wisdom, personal discernment, and the authority we have in Christ, this episode teaches how to remain grounded, unafraid, and spiritually alert. You’ll learn the importance of prayer, spiritual awareness, and using your God-given authority to cancel assignments of fear and oppression. This episode is a reminder that while we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, we are never powerless, and greater is He who lives in us. The Loneliness No One Talks About When Anxiety Takes Over

There is a loneliness that comes with anxiety and panic attacks that no one really talks about. It’s the kind of loneliness you feel when your anxiety shows up without warning, your body feels out of control, and the people around you tell you to “just calm down,” “control it,” or “get over it.” It’s the isolation of feeling misunderstood, unseen, and emotionally abandoned—even when you’re not physically alone. In this episode, I open up about the silent battle of anxiety, panic attacks, and the mental exhaustion that comes from living in constant survival mode. I share my own story of sitting alone in a full-blown panic attack, reaching out for help, and realizing no one truly understood what was happening inside me. We talk about: The emotional and physical symptoms of anxiety no one understands Why panic makes you feel isolated—even around people The mental torment of intrusive thoughts and constant fear Why numbness becomes a survival response The deeper spiritual roots of anxiety and panic How trauma opens doors that manifest as anxiety and fear After 33 years of living with chronic panic and anxiety, God led me through a journey of healing that showed me this battle was not only mental, but spiritual. Today, I live free, and I now help others understand what is really happening beneath the surface. If you’ve ever felt alone in your anxiety, this episode is for you. You are not broken. You are not weak. And you are not alone. Join my new Facebook Group to keep on the learning journey to freedom.

    Overcoming Numbness and Trauma

In today’s episode, I’m sharing one of the most vulnerable parts of my story — the years I lived emotionally numb, spiritually disconnected, and tormented by intrusive thoughts, anxiety, and panic. What I thought was “just trauma” was actually spiritual oppression rooted in generations of pain, childhood dysfunction, and patterns I never recognized until adulthood. For decades, I believed something was wrong with me. I lived in survival mode, battled overwhelming fear, and learned to dissociate just to get through the day. Even as a Christian, I felt alone, misunderstood, and trapped in a cycle of shame, depression, and spiritual attack. But everything changed at 33 years old, the moment God revealed that I wasn’t broken… I was under spiritual warfare. In this episode, I walk you through: ✨ What emotional numbness really is ✨ How trauma opens spiritual doors the enemy loves to use ✨ The intrusive thoughts, panic, and fear that nearly took me out ✨ How generational trauma shaped my identity ✨ The day God delivered me from anxiety, fear, and panic ✨ Why Christians can be oppressed, and why the church often misses it ✨ The freedom and identity that come from true Biblical deliverance If you’ve ever felt numb, overwhelmed, “not yourself,” or spiritually attacked… this episode is for you. There is freedom. There is healing. And you are not alone. You can join my REDEEM Workshop, where I teach Christian women how to uncover the root of their anxiety, expose the lies of the enemy, and reclaim their God-given identity and authority.

“Why You’re Not Crazy: The Neuroscience of an Overactivated Nervous System”

“Why You’re Not Crazy: The Neuroscience of an Overactivated Nervous System” Have you ever wondered why your body reacts so intensely to things others seem to handle easily? Why your heart races, your thoughts spiral, or you feel overwhelmed for “no reason”? In today’s episode, we’re diving into the powerful connection between trauma, the nervous system, and God’s design for your body. You’ll learn how your parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems work, why trauma can keep you stuck in survival mode, and how this has nothing to do with being “crazy”—and everything to do with a brain that learned to protect you. We’ll explore the three major brain areas impacted by trauma—the amygdala, hippocampus, and prefrontal cortex—and how they shape your emotions, memories, and decision-making. Most importantly, you’ll hear how God wants to restore the peace the enemy tried to steal. If you’re ready to understand your anxiety through the lens of both neuroscience and Scripture, this episode will bring clarity, validation, and hope. You are not broken. You are not alone. And there is a path back to peace. ✨ Mentioned in this episode: – The way trauma overactivates your nervous system – Why you feel fear or overwhelm even when nothing is wrong – How the enemy uses trauma openings to torment – How to invite the Holy Spirit into your healing – Steps to reclaim peace and emotional safety – My REDEEM workshop for trauma recovery (click HERE for REDEEM) Grab your coffee, take a deep breath, and join me for a transformative conversation that will help you understand your body, renew your mind, and experience God’s healing.
