    God: Our True North

True North v. Magnetic North is fascinating. True North never moves while Magnetic North is continually shifting. When Jesus calls His disciples to follow Him, He calls them to align their lives with His never shifting True North! This sermon explores the distinctions Jesus makes between those who are firmly fixed on Him as their moral true north versus those who are continually shifting with the moral changes of this world.

    Jesus Does the Unthinkable!

Far too often we try to put Jesus in our own little comfortable box. We want just enough of what we like about Jesus that we can handle our version of Jesus. The problem though is that God cannot be fit into our box or any other box. He is perfect and holy in every way and can never be diminished in any way. For this reason, when we look at Jesus' life and ministry we see that Jesus often does the unthinkable...and aren't you glad that he does! This sermon explores these amazing truths and the blessing it is for us today.

    Divine Authority and Power

Each and every moment of every day we have a choice to make…will we embrace the authority of Jesus and experience Him more richly, or will we deny the authority of Jesus and be left to our own devices? In this sermon we examine two cities: Nazareth and Capernaum. One embraced the authority of Jesus with astonishment and amazement. As a result, their lives were touched by Jesus and forever changed. What about you? Have you yielded to His authority and experienced His Word, His touch, and His blessed purpose?

    Sacred Motherhood

On this Mother’s Day Sunday, we turn our attention to Luke 1 and look at the life of the mother of Jesus. In this short window into her calling to be used by God, we can learn a great deal. This sermon explores three lessons we can learn from Mary’s sacred motherhood of our Lord and Savior!

    Lessons From Luke: Facing Temptation!

We are broken people who live in a broken world. Praise be to God who provides rescue for us! He gives us salvation over the penalty of our sin, but He also gives us His power over sin as well. This message explores Jesus’ example of power of sin and temptation. There are some great lessons and reminders for us as we consider this lesson from Luke’s Gospel in Facing Temptation!

    Bearing Fruit!

As we being this series on what lessons we can learn from Luke’s Gospel, we begin with Luke’s account of John the Baptist and his message of repentance. John boldly calls people to not rely on their ancestry, heritage, or occupations, but rather to place their faith in God and practice repentance. This is a sure message for us today as well!

  44. 108

    The Same Power!

It is Resurrection Sunday! On this day we celebrate the moment that changed history collectively and changes our future individually. It is the day we celebrate Jesus rising from the dead! The Bible tells us in Ephesians that the Same Power that rose Jesus from the Dead is alive in us today. What does this mean and what does this mean for me? This sermon explores the implications of this truth and calls us to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus daily!

Teach Us to Pray (Part 5): Yield to Jesus!

As we wrap up this series on learning to pray the way Jesus teaches us, we finish with making sure that as we pray we yield our hearts to Jesus. In a world that geared to be all about me, it’s important to realize that my life isn’t supposed to be about me…it’s supposed to be about Jesus. To Him belongs the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever! Amen!

Teach Us to Pray (Part 4): Ask and Seek!

As Christians we are constantly on the go and often pray for things and quickly move on. As we pray though, is this the kind of attention and intention that God would have from us, His children? This message explores prayer's power through persistence, confidence, and anticipation. By aligning our hearts with God's will, we learn to pray with genuine intentions, trust in His perfect timing, and eagerly anticipate His work in our lives.

  47. 105

Teach Us to Pray (Part 3): Repent to Jesus!

As we continue to explore the Lord’s example of how we are to pray, we explore what it means to pray in repentance. We are all guilty of sin, and we have often thought of repentance as a change of action. Repentance will result in a change of action, but repentance is really a change of mindset. This message explores how we are to posture our hearts to truly pray in repentance before our God and grow in our fellowship with Him!

  48. 104

Teach Us to Pray (Part 2): Praise Him!

As Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He began with making sure they recognize that God is near and personal, but He is also holy! When we pray, not only should we pray with purpose, but part of that purpose is to recognize the holiness and awe of God. One way we pray with purpose is to intentionally recognize how great God is by praising Him! This message looks at just some of the ways we can express praise to our Father who is in heaven.

  49. 103

Teach Us to Pray (Part 1): Praying with Purpose

We often pray, but do we pray in a way that is purposeful? Prayer is something we sometimes take for granted. It is also something that Jesus’ disciples asked Him to teach them. Today, we too should seek to learn how to pray in the way that is meaningful and purposeful. This message helps to set the foundation of learning how to pray from the One who connects us with God through His life, death, burial, and resurrection!

The Unified Church (Part 4): The Glory of Unity

As we close our series looking at God’s Unified Church, we look specifically at how God is glorified through our unity and what that really means. As our world is growing in lostness, God’s Church needs to also grow in shining His glory for the lost world to see His hope. This message explores how a Unified Church best serves this purpose!
