When you face persecution and suffer for your faith in Jesus, how do you respond? You may want to turn to social media, local news, or even consider taking legal action to restore your religious liberty. The persecution we endure in our country is generally mild and little more than an inconvenience. In today’s message, Dr. Timothy encourages you to find joy and peace in suffering for the One who endured unimaginable suffering for all of us.

This life can be hard. This short existence is all we know, and as fast as it flies by, it can feel very long and challenging when you’re living through a trial or oppression in some form. What is marriage all about? Is it about having the security of a permanent, full-time companion? Is it about making sure you’re not lonely? Or, as we are studying the Song of Solomon, is it about having your needs for physical intimacy met? As Dr. Timothy Brown will challenge us in today’s message, our focus in marriage needs to be on meeting our spouse’s needs – not making sure we get what we want out of it. 

What’s the foundation of your marriage built on? If it’s built on that initial passion and attraction you felt when you first met your spouse, I’ve got bad news… That passion will fade, and your spouse will not look the same for the rest of their life. When you’re young and you meet that attractive member of the opposite sex, it’s not hard to look at them with dreamy eyes, imagining your life together.
