10: Going to Egypt for the Global March To Gaza
I've been away for almost 3 months! This episode is all about my recent trip to Cairo, Egypt, for the Global March To Gaza. I began recording this story 1.5 months ago, but haven't sat down to finish it until this past week.I joined the March to Gaza in June (2 months ago). If you have listened to my episode "Activism is Spiritual" (Ep6), you'll know that I have a pretty strong activist archetype and that one of the causes I care most about in this world right now is freeing Palestine from genocide and occupation. This trip came up unexpectedly, but the cause is so important to me that I had to go, and actually my birthday landed on this trip.I share my personal experience leading up to the trip, being in Egypt, and the work I've been doing since then. I mix in personal shares, storytelling, a little bit of spirituality, and dharma. Thank you so much for your listenership and supporting! Please donate to (and share!) my fundraiser for Sanad Initiative: https://chuffed.org/project/sanad-initiativeConnect with me on IG at @RebeccaStateOfMind

09: Coming Into Your True Self -- from professional dancer to entrepreneur ft. Robyn Baltzer
Robyn, former professional dancer and dance studio owner, speaks about her journey from being a professional performer and dance instructor, to embracing her true self, as an entrepreneur. Robyn and I also discuss how different opposite our dance journeys were and how even being a "dancer" can show up in so many different ways, depending on your nature, personality, etc. (I also correlate these with the Dharma Archetypes). You will be inspired by Robyn's discovery and acceptance of her true self and how much she has let go of what she believed other people's or her own expectations of herself was supposed to be, and how much she's now living in her truth.I was so delighted and honored to have this personal, heart-warming, and profound conversation with a dear friend who has been part of my own journey as well.~~~For 1:1 Dharma Coaching, DM @livingyourdharma or email [email protected] (not gmail) to set up a free discovery call.Connect with me on IG at @rebeccastateofmindThis podcast is meant for informational purposes only and consists of the personal opinions of the host. 05: From Surviving to Thriving through Exploration ft. Chari Divina
In this episode, I dive further into the topic of 🔅Exploration🔅 with fellow dharma coach Chari Divina. Chari describes her deeply personal journey, from not ever allowing herself to explore as an adult because of her belief that it was a barrier to success, to realizing that she was actually suffering. She describes her process allowing herself to begin exploring in various areas of her life, from her physicality to creativity to spirituality. and more, and beginning connecting with herself through exploration, and how much it enriched not only her own life but her relationships. It was an incredibly beautiful and moving conversation, and I edited it so that we could really highlight the steps she took in her process to begin exploring, and hopefully it can help someone listening who may be struggling with beginning this process as well.If you'd like to share your thoughts, comments, questions, or even your own experiences with exploration, write to me on IG @rebeccastateofmindFor 1:1 Dharma Coaching, visit @livingyourdharma or email [email protected] (not gmail) to set up a free discovery call.

04: ~Storytime~ The Magic of Exploration... + I'm Certified!
In this week's episode, I dive into the period of magical exploration that followed after I resigned from my dietetic internship and Master's program in New York. With this new sense of freedom, I truly let myself explore whatever I was interested in doing, while also needing to survive in New York. While on one hand it was exciting, there was more so something mystical about it; I felt more like a wandering soul-- and that's exactly where I wanted to be.I finally got the chance to work a job I really wanted to do-- being a waitress. And I loved it.Listen to the end to hear the message I have to share on the magic of exploration, and why you should let yourself fully embrace your season of exploration, and also how you can bring that magic into whatever season you are in.For 1:1 Dharma Coaching, DM @livingyourdharma or email [email protected] (not gmail) to set up a free discovery call.If you have personal stories of exploration you'd like to share and may like me to read on one of my episodes, write in on IG to @rebeccastateofmindThis podcast is meant for informational purposes only and consists of the personal opinions of the host. 03: So...What the hell is Rebecca State Of Mind? (Intro)
It's time to introduce the podcast! After putting out the first 2 episodes, it's time to introduce what the podcast is all about. Here I describe the 3 main components making my podcast✨, and possible topics that I may cover.Additionally, I give a little background on the podcast name - After seeing the name did you think to yourself..."What the hell is Rebecca State Of Mind"? This has been my Youtube & Insta name for the past 6.5 years.. so, if you've thought this, I don't fault you! I've asked myself the same thing 😉 (maybe without the "wth" part, I was a little nicer to myself =P) Well, it's been hard to fully explain all these years, so I would say it was a feeling more than anything. However, starting this podcast is actually helping me step into this name even more!Connect with me on IG at @rebeccastateofmind

02: Are you an Overachiever or a High Achiever? ft. Farah @highpriestessfarah
Welcome back to episode 2! In this episode we dive in further into this topic of overachieving, and contrast it to the idea of high achieving. I had a wonderful guest on, Farah, fellow dharma coach and my classmate from Dharma Coaching Institute. We had a brilliant conversation and dissected the differences for us, which one(s) we identified with, how it affected or shaped our lives, and what happened when we finally decided to let go of that identity. Farah was a Harvard graduate and corporate attorney for 10 years and has an abundance of experience and wisdom to share on this topic. Our conversation also reached a beautiful place where we talked about our lives after overachieving/ high achieving, and the progression that happens through the unknown and period of uncertainty that follows, how magical it can be, and what happens even in the next stage after that!Farah and I share our tips and suggestions for people currently struggling with over/high achieving. And how these qualities can be a strength for us when we are doing something that is truly aligned. We would love to hear from you if this topic resonated with you. You can reach us each on IG at:Farah: @highpriestessfarahRebecca: @rebeccastateofmindThank you!

01: ~Storytime~ Confessions of an Ex-Overachiever
My first episode ever! This was 4 years in the making. I wanted to share a bit of my personal story and what came up surprised me-- it was about how I used to be an over achiever and how that came to a pinnacle when I was 23, breaking down in tears after I "achieved" everything I thought I was supposed to.I talk a lot about being a "great student," and while that might seem admirable from the outside, it was actually a manifestation of me living up to external expectations. If anything in this episode resonated with you, I'd love to hear from you.✨ DM me at @rebeccastateofmind on IG.To support LA wildfire relief and recovery efforts, donate to the Fire Poppy Project or Pasadena Tenants Union
