On this episode we investigate the connections between the porn industry and human trafficking. During my time as a consumer of porn I never knew there was such a connection. However, reflecting back on some films I watched the behavior and looks on some of the actors faces makes me wonder if they were victims of trafficking or abuse. While I can't confirm my suspicions, the thought is a sobering one. This may be a heavy episode for some listeners so listener discretion is advised. In this episode I discuss an interview I watched on YouTube between Michael Knowles and former porn actor Joshua Broome. Since his time in the porn industry Mr. Broome has dedicated his life to Jesus and become a Christian. He gives valuable information to the reality of the porn industry. I focus this episode around some of Mr. Broome's points about turning intimacy into nothing more than a transaction. In this episode I discuss how my life is after porn addiction. I also share some healthy habits we can incorporate into our daily routines so we can turn destructive habits to constructive ones. I pray some of these healthy habits will be useful to you, especially if you are facing temptation to self-pleasure. Try to turn to these habits instead of giving into the temptation.

Due to it being June and Pride month; I wanted to dedicate an episode to talking about same-sex attraction. There's a push to say God is accepting of homosexuality--does He really? Or is He calling us to a higher standard of living more aligned with His original design from the beginning in Genesis. Let's discuss. My goal for this episode was to present this topic in a logical way, getting people to think and in light of God's Word, what God originally wanted for His creation before the fall. My prayer is that this would bring hope to those who struggle with same-sex attraction because there is hope and redemption in Jesus. I also expand upon my previous episode and tell a little more about my testimony since it did have same-sex aspects to it.

In this first episode of the Redeemed by His Grace podcast I share my testimony of how God used an extraordinary event in my life to wake me up out of my pornography addiction. May the story God left me with help others who are facing a similar situation. There is hope on the other side of porn addiction and His name is Jesus.
