Resilient Faith

Resilient Faith is a growing collection of field recordings, interviews, and messages from Gospel workers serving in Armenia and among the unreached in MENACA (the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia)—with a special heart for Muslim-majority nations and other hardest-to-reach places. This "podcast" is primarily created as a simple way to share faith-inspiring stories, testimonies, and real-life updates from the field in one place. Episodes may include interviews (often with believers from unreached nations) and what it can look like to follow Jesus in costly environments, along with occasional recorded messages we’ve shared in churches and other ministries.Resilient Faith is the banner over our calling: by God’s grace, to make Jesus known among the unreached—and to trust Him for steadfast endurance, lasting fruit in the hardest-to-reach places, and growth only He can produce.

    Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day

On this episode Sylvia sits with us to share the heart behind Armenia’s Genocide Memorial Day and the living faith shaping its present. The conversation explores how the memory of the Armenian genocide informs national identity, resilience, and the ongoing work of the church in Armenia and among Armenians abroad. Sylvia describes her personal journey from cultural Christianity toward a personal faith in Jesus and explains how the Great Commission motivates fieldwork among Armenians and unreached people groups across MENACA. We discuss the ways young Armenians are rising as leaders in gospel outreach—preaching in the streets, planting churches, and supporting mission work beyond Armenia. The interview also touches on the challenge of cultural Christianity, the role of scripture and prayer in ordinary life, and how local churches balance tradition with transformative discipleship. The episode wraps-up with gratitude for supporters, prayers for protection and wisdom, and a hopeful glimpse of what God is doing through Armenians in MENACA.

From Cyrus to Christ: Reaching Persians in Hard Times

In this episode, Eddie offers an inspiring look at street evangelism during the Persian New Year (Noruz), alongside a sobering reminder of why so many Iranians cross into Armenia seeking freedom. Eddie explains how teams use creative tools—like a custom "Letter from the King"—to connect Persian history to Christ, and shares a practical approach for asking history-based questions rather than starting spiritual debates. Along the way, you’ll hear stories of distributed Gospels, late-night street conversations, and how pointing to the historical reality of Jesus opens doors to true faith.

    Why “Islam” Isn’t One Thing

In this episode, Eddie offers a practical, hope-filled perspective on sharing Jesus with Muslims, alongside a sober update and call to pray for the real suffering continuing in Iran. Eddie explains why it helps to think in terms of many “Islams,” shaped by culture, country, and community, and offers a simple starter framework for understanding key differences between Sunni and Shia backgrounds. Along the way, you’ll hear why genuine Christian love, prayer, and healthy community so often become the “open door” God uses in Muslim-majority contexts.

Praying for Iran: A Friend’s Story, a Nation’s Pain, and the Hope of Christ

I sit down with my Iranian friend, Eddie, to talk through what’s happening in Iran right now—both from the headlines and from the heart. Eddie shares what it’s been like processing the crisis with family still in Iran, limited communication, and the weight of hearing personal stories alongside reports of deaths, fear, and instability. He also offers a deeply practical and Christ-centered encouragement for how believers can respond with prayerful, loving witness to Iranians around them.
