Rightly Dividing with Ron Anderson

Pastor Ron Anderson is dedicated to Rightly Dividing Scripture through sound exegesis and engaging exposition.  These critical elements are essential to accurately applying the Bible to daily life. To understand the Bible as the Author intended, it is imperative to listen to both the voice of the Author and the writer, while taking into consideration the various contextual influences, cultural dynamics, grammatical constructs, and language of the era and culture in which they were used.  Overlooking or disregarding any or all of these elements is to completely miss the intent and message of the Author.  Practical engaging Bible teaching, verse by verse studies, topical studies, spiritual growth, Biblical ethics, morals, and lifestyle. We do not decide what God’s Word means, we discover what God’s Word means!Pastor Ron began full-time pastoral ministry in 1989.  He holds a B.S. in Bible from Lancaster Bible College; an M.A. in Biblical and Theo

SPEAK IT! Romans 4:17 Proverbs 18:21

Send us Fan Mail"There is a popular misuse of Romans 4:17 along with Proverbs 18:21 that confuses the sovereign creative power of God with a human confession, declaration, or proclamation. By taking these verses completely out of their context, many sincere and genuine believers are often taught to just “speak or claim or decree something into existence” a formula for personal blessing, gain, or prosperity. To properly and accurately understand these verses, we must study…  “that is rightly divide”    them within the context of the entire passage they are found in…

WHY IS GOD DOING THIS TO ME?

Send us Fan MailNo one, and I mean absolutely no one, gets through life without experiencing pain, suffering, tragedy, and a lot of heartache…  in fact there are times when it seems that the madness of misery is completely overwhelming…  and seemingly never-ending.  Admittedly, This is a very difficult topic…  it’s not impossible…  but it is difficult.    There is an answer to the “WHY?”…   but it’s not the self-satisfying answer that we desire. This episode…  Why is God Doing this to Me?

    VISION? HABAKKUK 2:2 - 3

Send us Fan Mail“Vision”… just mention the word “Vision” and it stirs up a myriad of very impassioned opinions. It is a word that has varied meanings and inferences depending on what circle of faith you are in. My intent in this episode is to specifically address the misuse of Habakkuk 2:2 when it is used as an example, pattern, or instruction for Christians to “write down their vision” as an expression of empowered faith and that because you have “written it down” God is somehow obligated to fulfill your vision, dreams, and desires! In this episode we are going to take a brief look at Habakkuk, particularly chapter 2 and verses 2 through 4.

    RESIST the DEVIL! James :7

Send us Fan MailResist the Devil and he will flee from you is yet another phrase that is so often isolated and lifted out of its context and misunderstood and misapplied.   Resist the devil and he will flee from you is actually a partial phrase in a paragraph where we find 9 specific and related instructions for believers… this episode…  Resist the devil and he will flee from you…      in it’s biblical context!

  5. 54

    STUMBLING BLOCK?

Send us Fan MailAlong with great freedom in Christ there comes great responsibility in our relationship with other believer’s, particularly those who are new believer’s. There is to be a kind and gracious consideration of those who do not yet fully understand that in Christ, believers are liberated from rules, regulations, and requirements that are often perceived as necessary for salvation… great care is to be taken so that “liberty” does not become a stumbling block in another believer’s faith walk. In this episode we take a look at Romans 14 and I Corinthians 8 and the use, meaning, and implications of “do not put a stumbling block in your brothers way”

  6. 53

    FORGIVENESS?

Send us Fan MailForgiveness is an extremely important and essential aspect of our relationship with God, in fact without forgiveness we cannot have a right relationship with God. This is also true of our relationships with others, we cannot have a deep abiding and meaningful relationship with others without forgiveness. “Forgiveness” in it’s various word forms is mentioned approximately 240 times in the Bible so it is obviously very important subject and that is the focus of this episode.

  7. 52

    JEZEBEL SPIRIT!

Send us Fan MailJezebel is one of the most if not the most evil and wicked women in the Bible, she was corrupt and contaminated to the core. Everything we know about her from scripture reveals a person that exudes a passion to pursue and promulgate evil and wickedness everywhere within her reach. From this biblical character there has arisen among some circles the concept of an actual “Jezebel spirit” as in a specific demon of Jezebel…   Does the Bible have anything to say about a “Jezebel spirit?’ Join me on Rightly Dividing with Ron Anderson as we look at Jezebel…  in Biblical context!

  8. 51

    RAPTURE 2025!

Send us Fan MailThere have been literally thousands of failed rapture prophecies, in fact, I can make this statement with absolute assurance…  to this day, every rapture prophecy that has been made predicting the day and the hour that the rapture was to occur… has proven to be 100% false…  every single one!   So, the track record so far for those making these kinds of prophetic statements and predictions is perfect… failure, and yet they continue to entice millions with claims of special insight that only they have, unique information revealed just to them… and if you buy their book and video series then you can be in on the secret too! If a prophecy proves to be false to any degree, in part or in whole…  what does that make the one who spoke the prophecy?    The Bible and rapture predictions…  coming up on this episode!

    YOU ARE gODS! Psalm 82:6

Send us Fan MailThe “little god’s” theology is based primarily on Psalm 82 verse 6 and John 10 verse 34 and a couple of other verses. The basic, simplified premise of this teaching is that since we are created in “God’s image” (Genesis 1:27) we are then, in essence deity ourselves and therefore essentially anything that God can do we can also do…  for example, we can speak things into existence. But is this actually what these passages are teaching…  let’s find out!

  10. 49

    DON'T GIVE SATAN A FOOTHOLD! Ephesians 4:27

Send us Fan MailEvery Christian is involved in spiritual warfare, every day, whether they realize it or not. This battle is on three fronts… the world (I John 2:15 - 16); the flesh (Galatians 5:16 – 21); and the devil (I Peter 5:8). In Ephesians 4:27 Paul speaks specifically about warfare with Satan, he warns believers not to give a “foothold” or “opportunity” for Satan to influence our life. So, just what does “don’t give a place to the devil” mean? Join me on this episode of Rightly Dividing with Ron Anderson as I take a look at Ephesians 4:27… in it’s context!

    Anchors for Adversity!

Send us Fan MailTroubles, trials, and tribulations are things everyone faces, no one is exempt, no one gets a free pass from the life's seemingly abundance of adversities. So what are we supposed to do when those times come upon us, how are we to respond in the trying times of life. In this episode of 5 UNDER 5 I share five anchors for enduring the seasons of adversity.

  12. 47

    ALL THINGS TO ALL PEOPLE?

Send us Fan MailIn I Corinthians 9:22 Paul says... "I have become all things to all people so that I might win some." Does that mean that as long as my motive is to evangelize the lost then I can live like the unsaved and do the things they do so that I can relate to them where they and then perhaps have the opportunity to share the Gospel and see them become born again? Just what does Paul say and mean in this passage?

  13. 46

    THEY WENT OUT!

Send us Fan MailAppearances can be very deceiving! In recent years many well known and popular "professing" Christians have walked away from the faith they once proclaimed, leaving countless people disillusioned, discouraged, and even devastated. Is it possible the some "professor's" of the faith are not actually "possessor's" of the faith? Does the Bible give us any insight or understanding on this matter? I believe it does, and that is the subject of this episode.

  14. 45

    CUSSIN' CHRISTIANS?

Send us Fan MailCursing, swearing, vulgarities, vile language, coarse talk and off-color jokes are all too often a part of professing Christians conversation. In this episode we take a look at what the Bile has to say about "what proceeds out of our mouth!"

  15. 44

    SALVATION LOST? Hebrews 6:4 - 6

Send us Fan MailHebrews 6:4 - 6 continues to be one of the most discussed and debated passages in the Bible. While there are several varying views on this passage, two positions are by far the most debated; those who believe this passage supports losing your salvation and those who believe this passage does not support losing your salvation. As with all Bible study "CONTEXT" is imperative to accurately interpreting, understanding, and applying the Bible. In this particular passage the immediate context as well as the context of the entire Book of Hebrews is critically important. And again, this is yet another passage where chapter and verse numbers invite subdividing and lifting these verse out of the the contextual flow of the passage at large.

    Bible Q & A... Amalekites?

Send us Fan MailWho were the Amalekites? What does the Bible mean when it says that the memory of the Amalekites will be blotted out? And if they are blotted out how then are they in he Bible? Is this a contradiction in the Bible? Join me on this episode as we take a look at the Amalekites and answer these questions.

    DON'T TOUCH!

Send us Fan MailI Chronicles 16:22 / Psalm 105:15  "Do not touch my anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm." This passage of scripture is often used as some sort of spiritual protective shield protecting Pastor's, Teachers, Missionaries, Evangelists, and religious leaders from any kind of accountability, scrutiny, or question about their conduct and character both private and public. In this episode of This Doesn't Mean That we take a look at where that passage is found and what it actually means in context.

  21. 38

    WHY? THIS is why!

Send us Fan MailThe Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God; in it we hear the voice of God as He reveals His plans, His purposes, and His promises; and because it is the Word of God it is critically important to "rightly divide" the Word of God. "Rightly dividing" means to read, understand, and apply the Bible as "the "Author," God Himself, intends. There is no more important discipline for a Christian to pursue and develop than rightly dividing the Bible.

  22. 37

    WHEN GOD SEEMS FAR AWAY!

Send us Fan MailWe all go through those times in Life when it seems as though God is nowhere to be found, He seems absent and disconnected with what is going on in life. It seems as though His eyes are blind, His voice is silent, His ears are deaf, and his heart uncaring. In this short video I share five things to do when it seems that God is far away!

  23. 36

How Can I Know God's Will?

Send us Fan MailOne of the most often asked question that I have had asked of me over the years is "How do I know God's will for my life?" Many often make knowing God's will for their life far more difficult and mysterious than it really is. In fact, much of God's will is clearly revealed in His Word. When we are obediently submitted to and following His revealed will given to us in His Word, then what we often assume and perceive to be "concealed" will be revealed; obedience to the known will always clarify the unknown.

Bible Myths Busted! Do People Become Angels?

Send us Fan MailLosing someone we love is one of, if not the most, difficult and heart-wrenching experiences that anyone go through in life. In the longing and desire to stay connected with loved ones who have died, many seek comfort in various concepts and ideas such as our loved ones become Angels when they die, or that the departed communicate with the living by sending messages and "signs" through various methods and means. In this episode we take a look at what the Bible says and what it doesn't say about those who have passed away.

    The Power of the Resurrection

Send us Fan MailJesus said in John 10:18 that He had the power to not only lay his life down but He also had the power to take His life back up again! Many religious, spiritual, powerful, popular, influential people have made claims of great power but none have ever or will ever have the power to resurrect themselves! Through the course of history past, present, and yet future there is but One who has the power to lay down his own life and then to raise Himself from the dead... Jesus!

  33. 26

    A NEEDLE? A CAMEL? A GATE? Matthew 19:16 - 26

Send us Fan MailThe Bible DOES NOT CONTAIN MYTHS! However, there are some myths that have developed which are attributed to, or related to, the Bible. These myths have developed as a result of misunderstanding, preconceived notions, assumptions, and cultural influences. For example: the "eye of the needle" refers literally and specifically to a small door in a large gate in the wall around the city of Jerusalem; or, there were three wise men and they arrived at the stable right after Jesus was born; or "money is the root of all evil!" The purpose of this series is to "bust those myths" with the hammer of Biblical truth. It is critically important to understand the Bible accurately and in the light of all it's contextual dynamics. If small distortions and assumptions are tolerated, then large distortions and assumptions are invited! "...rightly divide the word of truth..." II Tim. 2:15

ROMANS 8:28 Good... Grief? This DOES Mean That!

Send us Fan MailEveryone experiences tragedies, difficulties, upsets, and overwhelming heartaches that are overwhelming and devastating, and in those times, some of the greatest questions that we struggle with are: "Where is God in all of this? Why did this happen? What is God doing?" Often while we are struggling in the midst of our brokenness, doubt, frustration, and weariness, someone with the best of intentions shares a verse like Romans 8:28 in a genuine attempt to "help" and comfort. It is critically important to understand what the "good" that God is doing is referring to. In this episode we take a look at Romans 8:28, what it doesn't mean, but more importantly what it does mean!

II Corinthians 4:4 Satan Can Blind... the Mind? This Doesn't Mean That!

Sorry, but NO! Psalm 46:5 In the midts of... HER? This Doesn't Mean That!

Send us Fan MailWomen's ministries are critically import, essential, and much needed... however, this verse has nothing to do with women's ministries in any way! The use of feminine personal pronouns in this verse do not mean that this verse is refer to women or women's ministries and to use this verse in that way is to take this verse completely out of the obvious context of the passage. I Corinthians 10:13 God Won't Give You More Than You Can Handle! This Doesn't Mean That!

Send us Fan MailThis verse is often taken out of context in an attempt to bring comfort, hope, and encouragement to those who are going through difficult times in life due to health, finances, relationships, or any of as number of difficulties that seem to continually be a part of life. As important as seeking to encourage others is, this verse isn't dealing with the overwhelming abundance of difficulties, heartaches, and upsets that we all face. This verse isn't dealing with the "trials" of life, it is dealing with the "temptations" of life; two very different subjects. This episode put's I Corinthians 10:13 back in it's context.

  40. 19

Psalm 37:4 God Will Give You the Desires of Your Heart? This Doesn't Mean That!

Send us Fan MailThis verse is often (not always) presented in a manner that implies "God will give you what you want," and that is far from the contextual meaning of this particular phrase that is so often taken out of context. God does bless and shower good gifts into our lives but this verse isn't about us receiving "things" from him!

  41. 18

I Can Do All Things! Philippians 4:13 This Doesn't Mean That!

Send us Fan MailThis verse is often used as a self-improvement slogan, a motivational-mantra, a positive thinking proclamation... none of which fit the actual context of the passage where this verse is found. In this short episode we take a look and discover what "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" actually means in it's context and what we can learn and apply to to our lives personally!

Please listen to the entire episode!

Answers to Your Bible Questions! FREEMASONRY!

Send us Fan Mail Many involved in Freemasonry claim that it is not a religion but rather a secret society, a fraternal club, or private organization focused on doing "good," some even claim that it is "Christian!" But is that completely accurate? The clear and abundant evidence seems to point to the fact that "Freemasonry" is a religion, but it isn't Christian, and it certainly isn't Biblical. In this short video I give clear evidence that Freemasonry is a religion and that it is far more in line with Universalism than Christianity.

Send us Fan MailDoes Isaiah 53:5 refer to or imply physical healing in the suffering and sacrifice of Jesus? Does the word "healed" in the Bible always mean a physical healing? This is another verse that is often used out of context and much debated. This short study looks at how the context surrounding "by His stripes you are healed" helps us to accurately understand what "healed" is actually referring to in this passage. And... I believe God heals... but... in this passage... This Doesn't Mean That!

Binding Satan? Really? Matthew 18:18 & 16:19 This Doesn't Mean That!

Send us Fan MailThis is another Bible verse that is often taken completely out of it's context and made to mean something entirely different than what it actually means. While Satan and spiritual warfare are a reality the Bible nowhere instructs believers to "bind Satan." A look at the context of the passages makes it very clear as to what "binding and loosing" means in these passages.
