Shea Takazono and his wife are the lead pastors of The Testimony, a church community based in Waipahu, HI. Keegan and Shea discuss their time in Bible college, charismatic vs. traditional church cultures, leadership failures, and how to create space for different expressions of faith. Note from Keegan: This one starts a bit abruptly as we had recorded about 30mins earlier and had to re-record due to some tech issues. While in divinity school, he entered the Roman Catholic Church.

Ayaka joined the youth ministry at 13 where she served in many capacities until graduating high school. She attended art school in the mainland where she (mostly) left church altogether.Keegan and Ayaka discuss gender, purity culture, and the aesthetics of evangelicalism.

Kamahaʻo Fung was born into a cult based in Honolulu. His family later converted to Christianity, and he was raised in an Evangelical church. He went to Bible college, led worship, and worked in that church while being a closeted gay man.
