Welcome to your San Diego County Fair Insider Guide to what to expect on Independence Day: Friday, July 4th, 2025!Beyond the classic rides, games, food, and shopping, your Fair admission opens up a world of discovery. Throughout the day, make sure to check out ongoing attractions such as the Swifty Swine pig races, the Flying Royals, the Pet-Tacular Parrot Show, the Great American Petting Farm, the amazing Wilder Show and more.If you're looking for unique demonstrations and shows, there's plenty to see! Witness "Monster Trucks" in action at various times in the Del Mar Arena -- and definitely check out our 8 p.m. glow show!Your Fair admission includes musical performances on multiple stages, including a 9 p.m. show on the Paddock stage from a Toby Keith tribute act.We also have numerous Fourth of July festivities that start with a parade down our Main Avenue at 2 p.m. The parade will feature local fire departments, entertainers, and more.And of course, no Fourth of July celebration is complete without fireworks! At 6 p.m., we have a sensory-friendly fireworks show inside The Sound. This show is thoughtfully designed for individuals of all ages who experience sensory processing differences, including those with autism and PTSD. This inclusive event offers the joy and wonder of fireworks in a more gentle, comfortable environment.At 9 p.m., we have our annual Fireworks Spectacular. Remember, we have off-site lots at Canyon Crest Academy and the Del Mar Horsepark, or you can also take the train to Solana Beach Station and catch our free shuttle buses.Thursday is the final Pepsi Pay-One-Price Ride Wristband Day of the season. This is a special San Diego County Fair Insider Guide alert for July 2, 2025.As of 4 p.m. Wednesday, we are seeing large crowds heading to the Fair. Our on-site parking at the Del Mar Fairgrounds is limited. We ask that you consider our off-site parking lots at the Del Mar Horsepark or at Canyon Crest Academy. You can also take the train using the Fair Tripper. All off-site transportation spots feature free shuttle service to and from the Fair.We appreciate your patience and understanding as we welcome our San Diego County community to the final week of the Fair. Welcome to your San Diego County Fair Insider Guide, bringing you the scoop on what to expect at the Fair on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025.Get ready for a day packed with entertainment and excitement!Today is a Pepsi Pay-One-Price Wristband day, meaning you can ride any ride from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. with a $55 ride wristband.Kicking off the day with music, catch Tom Griesgraber, a master of the Chapman Stick, performing at the O'Brien Stage from 11 AM to 12:30 PM.For some thrilling animal action, the Perondis' All-Star Stunt Dog Show will have multiple performances throughout the day at 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 5:30 PM. Traffic Alert: 10:45 a.m. June 25, 2025
This is a special traffic alert for Wednesday, June 25, 2025.As of 10:30 AM, the northbound exit-only lane for Via de la Valle is partially blocked by emergency vehicles due to a traffic accident.The result is slower-than-usual traffic on what we expect to be a busy day at the Fair. Traffic is still moving, but will need to divert around the accident.We expect the accident to be cleared relatively soon, but we appreciate your patience. We can't wait to see you at the San Diego County Fair.

Welcome to the San Diego County Fair's Insider Guide to what to expect on Wednesday, June 25th, at the San Diego County Fair.The Fair opens its gates at 11 AM and will be buzzing with activity until 11 PM. Entrance gates close at 10 p.m.Throughout the day, animal lovers will have plenty to enjoy. The "Summer Pet-tacular" exhibit continues to be a must-see, offering interactive experiences like a giant ball of yarn and a pet-pairing quiz. The San Diego Humane Society will also be on hand with animals available for adoption. The San Diego Humane Society is also on-site, showcasing dogs, cats, and rabbits available for adoption, giving you a chance to meet your potential new family member. Here at the Fair, we are here to make your visit unforgettable and to kick off your summer on a high note. With a little preparation, the Fair can be easy to navigate — and welcoming for everyone, especially those who could benefit from extra support or quieter spaces.If you bought your ticket online at SDFair.com, and you cannot locate it, check your spam folder. The ticket was emailed to you upon purchase.When you arrive at the Fair, there are certain things you cannot bring inside. These include pets, bicycles, skateboards, and wheeled devices, selfie sticks, umbrellas, drones, laser pointers, weapons of any kind, or alcohol or drugs. You CAN bring the following into the Fair: bags, purses, limited food and beverages, water bottles, smart coolers, cameras and lenses, strollers, and wagons. You can find the full Customer Code of Conduct at SDFair.com/RulesYou should also know that admission, parking, rides and games, food stands, and official merchandise vendors only accept credit or debit cards -- not cash. If you want to exchange your cash for a prepaid debit card, the Fair features several "Reverse ATM" machines.You should also know a few more things to help everyone have a Fair-Tastic Day. 1. Water refill stations are located throughout the Fairgrounds. 2. Mobility devices may be rented in advance online or on-site through the Guest Services Office. 3. Unlimited Rides on Wednesdays and Thursdays
Welcome to the San Diego County Fair Insider Guide to the Pepsi Pay-One-Price Ride Wristbands.These wristbands are an incredible value, offering you unlimited Fun Zone or Kids Zone rides from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on any single Wednesday or Thursday of the Fair.Tickets purchased for Pepsi Pay-One-Price Wristbands must be redeemed for a physical wristband at ticket booths and redemption tents. Register for the Pet-Tacular Pooch Fun Run
Welcome to the San Diego County Fair Insider's Guide to the Pet-Tacular Pooch Fun Run.The 2025 San Diego County Fair’s “Summer Pet-tacular” will provide dog owners with a special opportunity to take their morning walk or run with their dogs around the Fairgrounds and snap photos with their furry friends in front of the Ferris Wheel.Registration is available at sdfair.com for the Pet-tacular Pooch Fun Run, presented by Southpaw Vet, on Saturday, July 5th, from 6:30 - 10:30 a.m. in Family Funville, which is in the infield area of the Fairgrounds. Humans who register in advance for the Pet-tacular Pooch Fun Run can also enjoy a full-day admission to the Fair on any day of their choosing.At the special, exclusive July 5th event, registered dog owners can run — or walk — around the Fairgrounds and experience the Fair in a fun and unique way with their beloved pooch and other dog-lovers before the Fair opens to the public at 11 a.m.Each dog must be registered separately under their owner’s name. All registered participants will receive an entry bib and Finishers Medal.Dog owners will have two options: a 1/2 mile-route or a full one-mile route. Participants in the one-mile route can snap a photo with their dog for a memorable moment at the Big Wheel in Fun Zone. Those participating in the half-mile route will have the opportunity to take photos in the Paddock. The event will also feature a post-jaunt festival with a dog-centric vendor village, complete with products, accessories and services for humans and canines alike. And while the full Fair won’t be open during the event, some food concessions will be available for purchase.In addition, participants can also get creative and have fun by entering a variety of dog and owner contests, such as:Best CostumeMost BeautifulMost HandsomeDog and Owner (and Dog and Child) Look-AlikeMost TalentedBest Tail WaggerCutest Little Dog and Cutest Senior DogFluffiestand Loudest BarkNo pre-registration is required for these on-site contests.As a reminder, to ensure the safety of the public and animals, general admission of pets into the Fair — outside of the special events and activities in controlled environments — is prohibited because large crowds, hot pavement, noise, lights and the general Fair atmosphere may be disturbing to pets.
