"Possessing" Your Identity as Daughter of the King - Part 1

A supernatural inheritance requires a supernatural encounter to truly take possession of it, live from it, and walk in it. There is a difference between knowing who you are as daughter of the King and truly living from that identity. What we need is not more knowledge, my beautiful friend. We need more revelation. Join me in this episode as we talk about what it means to truly possess your identity as a daughter of the King of Kings! You are beautiful! You are loved!

(Guest Episode) Jennifer Layte: Deconstructing The Faith

Deconstructing The Faith: Most of us have heard the term, but what does it really mean? What's the difference between sifting through the religion we were raised in and deconstructing in our faith altogether? Is all deconstructing inherently bad? Is the movement we see happening today led by the Holy Spirit or the enemy? What if I don't know? What if I'm scared of being led down the wrong path? With so much unknown, friend, how can we possibly be expected to navigate this situation with the utmost love and compassion (for ourselves and others)? It's hard, right? And in that space of unfamiliarity, it's insanely easy to fall into the categories of "group think," avoidance, and/or judgement - with devastating results! Flashing warning signs here!! Whew. That's a lot to unpack. So where do we start? May I make a suggestion? Right here. Having the conversation. Listening with love and compassion. And walking through the process together AND with the Holy Spirit. In this episode, I get the huge privilege of introducing you to my friend, author, and pastor, Mrs. Jennifer Layte. Jennifer's life work, tender heart, and commitment to God's whispers and nudges has led her to this place of working directly with those that are in this process of deconstruction, or sifting, through their faith. Her experience in this space has given her unique insights that will greatly help us unpack this topic further, no matter which side of the situation you find yourself on. This episode is for the person that is actively unpacking their faith and needing some encouragement, love, validation, and affirmation. It's also for those that are on the other side of the situation, watching someone you care about, or love, go through the journey of deconstructing and/or unpacking right now. My prayer for this episode: May we all hear the Holy Spirit speak to us through these words and may the journey of love, discovery, and communication continue to grow. "Above all, love Me and love one another." Matthew 22:37-39*This episode is part of our new "Loving Well" series, where we are actively seeking God's discernment and direction in His second most important commandment - to love others well. This series is aiming to be 100% God led, seeking the lenses of Jesus, the heart of the Father, and the words of the Holy Spirit in every space and situation. Cherished & Challenged, Always!

Press In Beyond The Crowd: Touching the Feet of Jesus

What would you say? That was the question I asked myself this morning. If today was your last day, Shannon, did you leave it all on the table? Did you share, without reservation, the things that you felt Him pressing on your heart? Did you hold back or lean in? Did you tell them about the God that met you on your living room floor only a few weeks back? What would you say? This podcast episode is like none I've ever recorded before, my friend. I have given you my whole heart. I have shared things in here that I've never spoken to anyone else outside my home... until now. There's an inexplainable God experience in this episode that may leave you hungering for more. I pray it does. Because here's the thing I want to ask: Who told you that, my friend? Who told you that God doesn't do that anymore? Who told you that He isn't the same? Don't stop where the crowd stops. Press in until you touch the feet of Jesus. Your life will never be the same. I love you.

(Guest Episode) Melissa Flaugh: How God Broke Through My Depression, Out of the Grave Like Lazarus

(TRIGGER WARNING: SUICIDE) Have you ever faced a season of debilitating depression that left you in bed for days? Have you ever had thoughts of walking away, or worse, ending your life? Have you ever watched a family member or friend struggle in the space of depression and had no real insights as to how to help them through it? In this episode, my beautiful friend, Mrs. Melissa Flaugh gives us some of the most precious gifts that one can give another: Love, grace, understanding, and hope. Through her willingness to be transparent, vulnerable, and deeply authentic, Melissa's story will leave you both inspired and encouraged. I am so grateful that she is here today, friends. She is a blessing and a gift to us all. You do not want to miss this episode and her story! You will be blessed!

(Guest Episode) Kelly Keegan: Faith That Changes The Trajectory of Your Life

When I met Kelly, God woke me up in the middle of the night and gave me a message for her and a small gift to share. What seemed like simple Divine direction and obedience over coffee the next morning, ended up being the tipping point for a But-God story that took us both on a wild ride through His utter faithfulness and goodness!! You see, unbeknownst to me at the time, Kelly was working two jobs while trying to step fully into her dreams of selling real estate. She held onto one job for financial safety, while her heart deeply yearned for the other. A terrible experience early on had put her dreams in total limbo. But God saw her struggle and He knew her dreams. And what transpired next continues to leave us both without adequate words to explain. Where God guides, He provides, and friend, I pray our story deeply blesses you! All my love, Shannon

Myth Busting: You Cannot Mess Up What God Has For You

"You Cannot Mess Up What God Has For You." We've all heard it shared, but is it fully His truth? In this episode, I set out to explore the complex nature of this rather over-simplified statement (including the dangers). I dug through scripture and prayed for discernment. And while I admit to still learning how God moves in this space, I definitely felt the Holy Spirit revealing some reassurances and also some really hard truths. Note: There is a differentiation between salvation and your walk or calling. Salvation is never achieved by works. It is a gift freely given to all who reach out and accept it. Your calling, however, is different, as we will explore more deeply here. Please understand that my goal in this podcast episode is not to disprove the statement, but rather, to use it as a catalyst to dig deep into the Father's heart on the subject. I have felt a stir on this topic for a long time and I knew there must be a reason why. I pray that it touches you and launches you. All my love! - Shannon

(Guest Episode) Kayla Judd: How To Stop Letting Physical Insecurities Hold You Back

Welcome to our first guest episode of 2025! I am so delighted to introduce you to my beautiful, inspirational, one-of-a-kind friend and powerhouse sister, Kayla Judd! I reached out to Kayla late last year because I was finally ready to admit to myself that I was allowing physical insecurities (and the mental battle that plays into them) to hold me back from the dreams on my heart. Now, I'm a big fan of pray through it until you break through it, but sometimes a girl could really use someone who's been down that road to encourage her heart and give her some tools for the journey. Insert my beautiful friend, Kayla. This girl has been on a 3-year health journey that she has shared on her social media platform - and has lost almost 200lbs. to-date. BUT what inspires me the most about Kayla is that she NEVER let some number on a scale or a "perceived flaw" she saw in the mirror HOLD HER BACK or DICTATE HER WORTHINESS to launch fully into her dreams and gifts! She started that journey long before she lost the weight. And friend, that's a superpower that your girl (me!) needs more of today. Yes, walking in our gifts is not about what's on the outside, but if I'm being honest, I still get stuck in that headspace from time to time! And it can get really, really messy. So, if you are struggling in the same space, my friend, this episode was recorded for you! We are going to take back our power, walk in our identity, and change this internal narrative, together! With all my love, I pray this episode encourages you deeply. Have a beautiful and blessed day! -Shannon

Real Talk: Imposter Syndrome & Insignificance

In our once-a-month "Real Talk" episodes, I aim to share with you from a space of raw vulnerability and transparency. My hope is that when we share in our own struggles and strongholds, we can uplift and encourage one another in that space. We are all imperfect people on a beautifully imperfect journey. You are seen and known and completely, wholly, and unconditionally loved. In this "Real Talk" episode, I share with you my own (current) struggles with imposter syndrome and feelings of insignificance and unworthiness. These are unedited raw episodes, imperfect and flawed in many ways, I'm sure, but honest and real, as well. I pray that hearing my story as I pray through my breakthrough helps you find your breakthrough, too, my friend! Always shared in love, Shannon.

    That Sneaky Second-Hand Religion Thing

Please Note: This podcast episode may not be appropriate for children. Please pre-screen or use headphones when listening. For many of us, we came to our belief system about God first through the eyes, ears, experiences, or words of another - likely someone we trust, someone of authority, or someone we look up to – and we then accepted their experiences or words as truths and it became a part of our belief system as well. This is called second-hand religion, and it's not inherently wrong, as you'll see me explore. But what happens when we come into our own relationship with God? Does the second-hand religion aspect disappear entirely? Well, yes... and no... because sneaky "pockets" of second-hand religion may still remain in your spirit, deeply rooted in the influence of others. And these little pockets of core beliefs that are based on the words or belief systems of others could be holding you back from all that God is calling you into. In this podcast episode, we will explore some BOLD examples of this (hence the screening warning before) and then we will dive deeper into some more commonly held "pockets" and examples and their possible effect on you and your journey. Buckle up, friends... this one is a little bit wild, but I hope it helps you grow in your relationship with Him. Seek first His discernment, wisdom, and heart. My heart posture is always to share with love! -Shannon

2025: The Year We Spent Outside the Boat!

No matter where January 1st found you, my friend, 2025 can be the year that changes your life forever! One promise has always, and will always, be true: God will never leave us where He found us. He will hold us, heal us, push us, grow us, and challenge us. So don't go home in the boat, my friend. Don't ride it out comfortably (or uncomfortably) on cruise control. Let God absolutely blow your mind this year! We don't have to know the how. We just have to know the Who. Get ready for 32 minutes that will encourage and inspire you, today! Love you, always, friend!

When Mama Leads Spiritually: Be Empowered & Encouraged

If you've ever been in a space where you're leading your family spiritually (speaking to the mama's out there) and your husband is not meeting you in that place, you know that it may come with a lot of mixed emotions. Fear over the future, judgement from others, questions (so many questions), frustration, and possibly resentment. I know that not everyone out there will feel this way, but this podcast is for those that do... BECAUSE today we are going to flip the script, encourage and empower you, and give you an entirely new perspective. DO NOT miss this podcast episode if you are ever feeling like your family is somehow broken if you are the one carrying the torch, mama... God's got a message for you: You were made for such a time as this! Big hugs and big love, friends! Have a beautiful and blessed week!

Washing Feet, Standing in the Gap, & Spiritual Discernment

Spiritual warfare doesn't always feel like we expect. It doesn't always look like we think it will look. And when we come face to face with it, sometimes we call it by the wrong name. That's exactly what I share in this podcast episode. A recent encounter with spiritual warfare had me in a space of inner turmoil that both confused me and turned me inside out. When the Holy Spirit led me into an experience of washing feet and standing in the gap, I expected the beauty and the power of the moment. What I didn't expect was the outside-the-norm reaction (on my part) and the spiritual fight that followed. Standing in the enemy's territory can bring GREAT breakthrough, but it also requires prayer over spiritual discernment and remembering to stand strong in your authority. In this podcast episode, I'll share an experience that brought me face to face with both and taught me new and powerful things! I hope it deeply blesses you!

Mini Podcast: Having Fun With God

(Our mini podcast series is recorded from our weekly Facebook Live videos.) In this mini podcast episode, we discuss how the Holy Spirit moves so intimately through every (EVERY) season with us.  Like the loving Father that He is, He walks ahead and leaves little eggs in our day to simply say, "I see you and I love you, personally and individually." And when we realize that, we begin to do things like this:"God, I want to dance with you today. Can we do something fun together? Can we spread some love in a really beautiful, special, and unexpected way today. I want to have fun with you! Open my eyes to an opportunity to shine your light in someone else's world today!"And then, something incredible happens. Just like that, our cup is overflowing because we are seeing His invitation, dancing with Him in the daily, spreading His love and expanding His Kingdom, and simply put: There's nothing like a day spent marinating in His presence.

Raw Ramblings: I Set Down My Peace & Picked Up Fear In Its Place

In this podcast episode, I share how our recent family move has made me realize the utter importance of being intentional about what luggage I'm choosing to carry emotionally and spiritually in the journey. You see, when I unintentionally set down my peace last weekend and began to carry fear, it changed absolutely everything! Suddenly, I gave my emotions the driver's seat and the view out the front window became terrifying. After a few sleepless nights, a gallon of coffee, and a bottle of Tums, I had to have a real "heart to heart" with myself. What I discovered in that moment gave me back my peace and re-anchored my faith. Bonus: Check out the additional content in this episode on Restoration: The Messy Miracle. << This was a quick word of encouragement that God placed on my heart for anyone going through the process of restoration in a relationship right now. Much love, friends! - Shannon

Raw Ramblings: The Enemy Knocked The Wind Out of Me This Week

Hi, friends! This podcast episode is a bit of a mini-break from our usual "Unlocking the Woman Within" series, but it felt so important to share. In a season of really incredible "But, God" moments and breakthroughs, I have experienced a week where the enemy hit me from the left side and knocked the wind completely out of me. In this moment, I realize that I have two choices: Sit in my feelings of defeat and let it consume me or get up, trust God, dust off, and push forward. I'm choosing the latter, friend, but sometimes it's really challenging to push through the muddy middle. If you're feeling that struggle today, maybe this episode of "raw ramblings" will help you feel seen and understood. I'm making it, friend, and I'm bringing you with me! So let's do this!

How To Walk in Your God-Given Gifts

In this podcast episode, we take a deep dive into exploring how to discover, unlock, and walk in our beautiful and unique God-given gifts. 1 Corinthians 12:11 says that the Holy Spirit distributes our gifts, the Holy Spirit awakens our gifts, and the Holy Spirit helps us walk in the power of our gifts. But how? In this episode, we unpack it, dissect it, and break it down into bite-size Bible-based understandable pieces so that we can walk in His anointing today and be empowered by the beautiful presence of our Father. Bonus: We talk not only about unlocking our gifts, but the belief systems, fears, and opinions of others that sometimes hold us back when God calls us to stand out. And lastly, we dive into the very powerful topic of impartation: what is it, how does it work, and why is it important. I hope you'll join us in this episode, because it's truly power-packed! May we walk into a week of discovery and joy as we continue to "Unlock the Woman Within" together!

    Dreaming With God

In this podcast episode, we take a deep dive into the topic of dreaming with God. Understanding why it's so important to dream with God, the beauty of what it unlocks inside of us, is only the beginning of what we explore in these 40 minutes together. From there, we talk about how to dream with God and how to allow ourselves to really dream big, God-size dreams! We discuss some of the things that so-often hold us back and how to overcome them - how to bring them to Him and let Him heal them. My prayer with this episode is that it encourages your spirit and brings confirmation in a space that God has already been stirring within you. The truth is, God planted big dreams in you long before you began to dream them for yourself. He has been making a way and preparing you. Today is just the day that we read the invitation that says... Come dream with Me... and we get to decide. Will you dream with the One that they call the Waymaker? The One that loves you beyond comprehension. Will you take steps to come into agreement in faith all that He has planned for you? Will you believe in His goodness and His faithfulness in the big, "But, God" size dreams? Just say, "yes," my friend! Yes, God, yes!" I'll see you there!

This is NOT who I am. (Knowing Your True Identity)

Buckle up, my friends, because this podcast episode is JAM PACKED with powerful truths for your foundation and your journey ahead! Grab your chicken scratch journal or notebook, because you'll definitely want to take notes! We are breaking some chains today! We are walking in true freedom and joy, as only our Father can give! I usually drop more of a sneak peek into the episode, but this one is too good to throw in spoilers. You'll just have to listen! Have a beautiful and blessed week!!

The Enemy is After Your Foundation, Faith, and Fortitude (But Victory is Yours!)

Welcome to the 4th episode in our Unlocking the Woman Within series, friend! In this episode, we take a deep dive into the question, "What battle are you fighting today that you may think is physical, mental, or emotional, but it is actually spiritual?" We talk about the tactics that the enemy uses to attack our foundation, faith, and fortitude and why! He's after your fire, my friend, but he has no power. By clearing our lenses to see who is really behind the battle that we are struggling with today, we can find our victory and leave love, grace, honor, and healing in our wake. Protect the connection to your Father. Let God be your truth guide, your North Star. I truly hope you enjoy this episode.Thank you for being here!

The Imperfect, Messy Side of Growing in Your Ministry

Hello, friends! I'm so excited to meet you here again! If you're following our Unlocking the Woman Within series, then this podcast episode is a must!!! You see, the truth is that stepping out in radical, courageous obedience isn't always a beautiful dance in a flower-covered field. It's the best adventure of your life, make no mistake, but it's not a perfect science. And with so much to learn, we are not going to get it all right the first time. We are going to try something, bounce around a bit in the learning process and try again. But, that's where God's grace beautifully comes in. After all, why would there be a need for grace if we got it right all the time?! Bottom line here is that I'm learning so much about the messy and imperfect side of ministry in the journey. It's a growing season and God's patient and loving hand is guiding me. We are all in ministry, my friend. And your messy moments in ministry DO NOT disqualify you from the gifts and the calling that God has placed on your heart. They don't remove the anointing that He has so beautifully placed on your life. You are called, loved, and irreplaceable, and the world needs your song. So, let's grow in grace, and grow in our ministry, together!

Emotional "Remnants" & The Spirit of Powerlessness

In this second episode of “Unlocking the Woman Within in 2024," we will explore three powerful topics that God has been laying on my heart lately:The Seeds God is Planting in Your SpiritThe Bubbling Up of Emotions That We Don’t Expect, Facing “Long-Dead” Giants Like AngerThe Powerlessness We Feel in Facing Generational or Experience-Produced “Baggage” or Emotional “Remnants”Friends, God is calling us into a BREAKTHROUGH YEAR in 2024! It will be a year of beautiful growth and joy! A year of life-changing transformation. A year of breaking chains and uprooting lies. But we will inevitably face things in the journey ahead that we don’t necessarily expect. God is so faithful and loving, my friend. And if we anchor our shaking courage to that truth, then we know that any seeds that He taps in our spirit on the journey are guaranteed to lead us into our beautiful breakthrough, if we fully let Him in that space. It's an invitation perfectly packaged just for your heart. He loves you. The seeds He works through today will lead you into your healing and your joy. The seeds that He gently taps this year will lay the foundation for the season, and fruit, of your tomorrow. And all we have to do is say, “yes! Yes, God, yes!”Thank you so much for being here, my friend! 2024: The Year of Unlocking the Woman Within!

With the start of 2024, we are launching into a whole new blog series, Unlocking the Woman Within. While much of the series will be hosted over on our social media page (find us on Facebook at Shannon Singh, Author), occasionally we will drop a new podcast episode here that is dedicated specifically to navigating this journey together.  Unlocking The Woman Within is all about digging in deep and allowing God to uncover the beautiful, gifted, called, and irreplaceable woman that He has placed inside of each one of us. It's about intentionally trading in our life of comfort and complacency and asking God for the deep-end of the pool experience. Head, shoulders, knees, and toes! Total submission and submersion. No safety bars. No guard rails. Just Jesus. A year of radical courageous obedience. A year of saying yes to God. Because, Prayer + Radical Courageous Obedience = 1 Year that can completely change your life! And that’s exactly what we are chasing this year. So welcome, friends! We are so excited to do this together. In this first podcast episode, we will talking about what it means to unlock the woman within and three truths to which you can anchor in this process.

  23. 7

WHY WE HAVE TO STOP SHAMING THE UNCHURCHED

In this podcast episode, we take a deep dive into a word that God has been piecing together in my heart for a very long time. Friends, years of theology and religious messages have made us feel justified in calling out and shaming the unchurched. And when we do this, we are minimizing their walk, their calling, and their relationship with God, effectively squeezing it into a box of our own understanding. My prayer with this message is that you feel grace and God's love poured all throughout it. But I also pray that if you find God tapping your heart while listening, or if you feel deeply challenged by this episode, that you open up your spirit to a new perspective and let God fill you with His discernment and His truths. Remember: We are challenged because we are cherished. God grows His people as He draws them closer to His heart. Many blessings, my friends.

  24. 6

Asking God To Use You - Part 1

In this two-part podcast episode, we will be exploring the incredible journey that happens when God fills our cups until they can't hold any more and they beautifully begin to spill over onto others. We will be talking about the moments of shaking courage and the moments of joy and breakthrough as we discover together what it means to let God take our story, our hearts, and our journey and use all of it to bless us and others. Four simple words - "God, please use me." - can change your life and the lives of all those around you. Your heart is irreplaceable, my friend. There is a story with your name on it and calling that can only be filled by you. In the big and the small, your testimony is meant for such a time as this. Let's be world-changers together! Let's say "yes" to our Father's call to share our hearts! Many blessings to you today!

  25. 5

The Waiting Season: Is the Productivity Mindset Stealing Your Peace?

In this episode, we spend some time exploring the mindset of productivity in the season of wait. We dissect the popular statement, "God feeds the birds, but he doesn’t throw the worms into the nest," exploring both truths and untruths in this culturally-driven thought process of constant building, growing, working, and achieving. There is a season for everything under heaven and to every season there is a purpose; a season to co-labor with God and a season to sit in His presence and let Him fill you with everything you need, including the reassurance that He’s got this and He’s got you. God has created a space inside your spirit for Him, a space that only He can fill. Sometimes, we need to sit in His presence and be healed, held, loved and poured over, and there is no shame in that rest. We hope you enjoy this episode. Have a beautiful and blessed day.

  26. 4

To The Woman Who Feels Like She's Failing

To the woman who feels like she's failing at every turn - as a mom, as a wife, at finding her purpose, or living out her calling - whatever your struggle to feel like "enough" may be today, please know that you are incredible, my friend. You are seen, held, loved, and cherished. You are not broken or forgotten, left to survive the remnants of your mistakes or failures and forever defined by your difficult seasons. Quite the opposite. You are a masterpiece in the making, a beautiful and perfectly imperfect being walking through seasons of growth and learning. It's time to break the weight of the lies that are breaking you. God loves you too much to watch you carry this any longer. Let's give it to Him today. You are more than enough, my friend, and I hope that this podcast episode deeply blesses you right where you are.

  27. 3

Coming Into Agreement with God's Promises in Difficult Seasons

God is calling on our hearts today to take active steps to come into agreement with Him and begin to prepare for all that He has for us, but sometimes the fear of the unknowns and the natural tendency to want to protect ourselves seems to work against that message, especially if His promises seem to conflict what we see and feel all around us. If you are traveling through a difficult season and you struggle to hear God's promises, feel His presence, come into agreement with His promises over your life, or take that step of faith today, this podcast episode will both encourage and inspire you to lean in. He is the God who loves us and pours over us in every season and He is with you today. This episode is broken down into two parts. I deeply encourage you to listen to both, but if you're short on time, here's the breakdown! I pray that it blesses you: Part 1: Hearing God's Promises & Choosing to Lean InPart 2: Taking Steps of Action to Come into Agreement with God's Promises (starts at 16:00)* DO NOT miss part 2! It'll bless you regardless of what season you are in!Have a beautiful and blessed day!- Shannon

  28. 2

    From Breakdowns to Breakthroughs

This podcast episode is a bit more raw and emotional, but it is also an important message for anyone struggling to see God's fingerprints in the challenging season that they are facing. He is with you and He is for you. Never forget that He holds you so close and loves you so much. Prayers over your journey, my friend.
